Garmin nuvi 885T GPS Navigation - 4.3 Touch Screen, MSN Direct, Bluetooth, North American Maps

Cons: Somewhat sluggish operation, buggy software (with latest v. 5.60 software I've had several lockups, reboots and glitches) low volume from tinny sounding speakers( there is a 3rd party TTS voice editor from TurboCCC that allows you to increase the volume of the TTS voices. They are set to 65 by default) Brand new suction cup has already let go, found unit sitting in my center cup holder. (If it falls it will press the release button on mount) No included case. Voice only works when there is little background noise and will often select wrong commands.

Pros: Great features include: voice command, MSN direct integration, bluetooth, great easy-to-use Garmin interface, user removable battery, lane assist feature, where am I? provides lat/long/elev. nearest POI/emergency services and fuel, mp3 playback, audio book support, games, satellite signal strength, "hot-fix" provides nearly instant satellite lock-on, speed limit display, selectable POI display on navigation map. Ability to add POI's through MSN Direct via Bing is very cool. Find your destination on Bing Maps, and you can "send to GPS" through USB or wirelessly.

Pros: I have had a great Nuvi 350 for years. The 885T is even sweeter, as one might expect from the price. I downloaded special POIs (enforcement related) and they will be very helpful, since these cameras are very profitable at the expense of increased rear-end accidents. The POIs really work. The blue-tooth phone connection works like a dream. My cell phone is voice activated, but I still have to fool with it a bit. The Nuvi - no fooling. We have three cell phones and Nuvi will pare with all three (one at a time). It uses the cells phone book to make calls or you can use POI numbers or dial yourself. I have it mounted on the windshield just below the mirror and the display is visible in bright sunshine. The great voice activation feature of this Nuvi is, well, great. It would take too long to explain just how great, but it is great. If you buy this Nuvi you will not be sorry. See other thoughts below.
