Cool Board
Cons: I don't like the Gigabyte logo that flashes on my screen at startup, it's kinda ugly.
Pros: Fired right up right from the box. No problems yet. Looks cool as well. |

Weird ATX power connector place
Cons: The motherboard works and all, but it requires 20+4 and an additional 4, and it required heavy taping and my wires are running right into my (3rd party) heatsink fan. The placement kills it for me.Long POST times, 15-30s on the BIOS screen, not sure if it's dying or this is how long it takes DualBIOS boardsAlso the IDE connector could be a bit closer.
Pros: Has all the features I need without any useless clutter(RAID). IDE works, even though it's a bit far. Comment:
The board is still good, I just wish the layout was better. |

Nice Quality
Cons: The higher ram values of 8500 started to wind my cpu up and down too much, the 8000 keeps it running at a more constant speed. Especially when playing online gaming.
Pros: This is a real good speed mobo and does accept other ram modules. I Have a pentium E7600 and older Nvidia display card 8500. I started with gskill 8500 ram and also mushkin blackline enhanced 8500. I think the mushkin redline enhanced 8000 series is the best speed rating. Comment:
2 gig ram modules work better, over the 1gig.It doesn't like putting the enhanced blackline and gskill together for dual channels. |

Great mb!!!
Cons: The manual was so incredibly lacking. I'm used to having my motherboard manuals be basic, simple and not give you all the info you needed, but this was pretty pathetic. Not much of an issue, however, as it's pretty easy to figure out the bios anyway. Also, only one IDE slot was a bit lame, but luckily I was able to put my only dvd rom and hard drive on the same one (yes, I'm still living int he stone age, what can I say)Only 2 PCI slots, and only one PCI-E, so definitely no SLI which is a bummer.
Pros: Great motherboard, booted up on the first try, was able to fit everything I have in it, easy installation. Installed windows 7 and all the drivers were automatically installed. Lots of USB ports, which is a definite plus. Comment:
This board booted up with extreme ease, paired it up with a E8500 and 2 gigs of patriot RAM. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, my games couldnt run smoother right now. Despite the cons, I'm still leaving it at 5 eggs due to the stability. |

Gigabyte EP43-UD3L ATX LGA775 P43 FSB 1600 OC 1PCI-E 2PCI DDR2 SATA2 HD Sound GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:None at this time
Pros:Great board for standard build. Comment:
This board is great for a standard build with a good video card. You could use it for a desktop pc without any extraordinary performance but it can but performant too. |

Amazing!
Cons: None... yet....
Pros: Very easy to install, the HD sound is pretty epic with my Logitec 5.1 Surround Sound set up. Automatically installed drivers for all of my old parts from my last mobo. Well worth the price. Comment:
I would have paid more for this MoBo if needed, it's much better than I thought and beats out my old Gigabyte MoBo which it had to replace. Gives me soo many more options for upgrades. So happy about this purchase! |

Best bang for the buck
Cons: overclocking features are not documented at all in the manual. I had to do a lot of research before getting past 3.5ghz. At first i was worried because the board kept on booting and resetting, but that's because of the lack of research on my part. However if the manual did come with specifics on all the features, i would have saved a good 3 days.
Pros: This motherboard enabled my e5200 to overclock stable at 4.0 ghz on air! i am very impressed with this board. I am writting this review after 6 months of ownership, and so far no problems. For a board that is under $100, you can't go wrong with this. Dual bios is an overclocker's dream, you won't have to clear the darn cmos everytime u set the cpu fsb and multi wrong, the board will reset itself if it fails. Comment:
For those of you complaining on the overclockability of this board, please do your research first. Again, the manual does not help at all in this matter, but then again if you want free performance boost from your cpu, you better do your part and research. This board along with the e5200 i bought 6 months ago only set me back $150, and yet i'm getting it run smoothly at 4.0 ghz. |

SOLID
Cons: Honestly, none.
Pros: - SOLID, Stable, Reliable- good overclocking/tweaking functionality.- great bang for the buck- Bought one 7 months ago. Worked so well, when the opportunity/excuse came up, I got another. The second was just as easy to get set up and running.- Both systems 100% stable, 50%, and 33% CPU overclocks, and system tweaks. Comment:
I have grown very comfortable with gigabyte boards, having 4 in my house. This definitely makes configuring easier, even given the number of "tweakable" options found in the bios for most gigabyte boards. Definitely a fan of gigabyte boards in general, and the UD3L today.Would definitely buy another [if I had the excuse] or recommend to friends. |

Good board... mostly as expected
Cons: 4 eggs because in order to use the IDE connector (for my legacy CDROM drive), I had to set the all Sata ports on the board to IDE mode. :-( Further, the IDE drive takes up SATA slots on the board, so you don't really get 8 disk slots as I expected (2 IDE and 6 Sata), and only SATA ports 0,1,4,5 are IDE masters... If you plug SATA drives into port 2 or 3, they become slaves, and port 1 becomes /dev/sdc (linux). This I had to figure out by trial and error. It's not clearly documented!
Pros: Looks like a very well made board. Comment:
FYI: Linux users: The onboard NIC does not work with any of the standard Kernel configured drivers, like the Realtek 8169. However, the current Linux driver source downloaded from the realtek website: r8168 (yes it ends with 8 not 9) works find. Just type make all && depmod -a as root... and load the driver. Good instructions in Realtek's README and the Makefile. So after spending more time than I'd planned I'm a happy camper. |

GA-EP43-UD3L
Cons: U get what u pay for. Not the easiest to OC like p5k board. doesn't like budget memory. had problems with lan controller but has pci for backup lan card.
Pros: Cheap, solid, booted right up. Stable with cheap parts and 400 watt pwr supply @ stock settings. no problems resetting bios after many OC attemps. Great for budget builds. Runs Win 7 with no need for Gigabytes drivers. Comment:
Took me a year to OC it with E8400 Stable @ 3.6ghz. It needed Asus Graphics ati5770 and good corsair ram pc8500, and enough power supply. Yes Ram and GPU power made the difference in getting it stable @ 3.6ghz. I'd buy Gigabyte again when i ever get the money to upgrade and intel decides what slot size to stay with for awhile. |

Its a Winner
Cons: NONE. This board works and I have had no issues.
Pros: Straight forward instructions. Fired up right away and nave had NO problems. I do not understand the negative reviews. I suspect people are not knowing how to build a computer and blame it on the board. This is a good working board. I will buy again.NewEgg service was top notch!! Comment:
satisfied customer and will buy Gigabyte product again will always go thru NewEgg. |

I'd buy an Asus if I could do over.
Cons: Unable to get my Intel E6320 to overclock on this board. Had no problem OC on my asus mb. When tried to overclock the smallest bit the board wouldn't even boot.
Pros: None really, it works if you don't want to OC. Comment:
I'd buy Asus MB before Gigabyte. Figure I'd give them a try since Maximum PC likes gigabyte boards. |

Pretty Good for Price
Cons: Mine didn't come with any standoffs or screws, I don't know if this happened to anyone else. Luckily, my local store gave me some free, so it all worked out in the end.
Pros: Good Specs for the priceWorks wellGood mobo Comment:
I still like newegg |

Gigabyte EP43-UD3L ATX LGA775 P43 FSB 1600 OC 1PCI-E 2PCI DDR2 SATA2 HD Sound GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:no raid
Pros:informative biosstablecheap Comment:
No problem with this motherboard. A very good choice for a budget build. don't think you would be missing out much compared with ep45. all the usual functionality are there although raid would be nice. it is a good board for those who want a good but not expensive build. |

Gigabyte EP43-UD3L ATX LGA775 P43 FSB 1600 OC 1PCI-E 2PCI DDR2 SATA2 HD Sound GBLAN Motherboard
Cons: Some issues with the onboard ethernet connection being dropped.
Pros: Fairly inexpensive, worked out of the box6 sata ports Comment:
4 stars because of the network dropping issue. Not a major problem unless it happens during a file transfer or while gaming. |

Great
Cons: None so far but I will let Newegg know if something should arise.
Pros: I have to say this motherboard makes me very happy.I got this motherboard to replace a motherboard from SuperMicro (which I suggest do not purchase because the thing died on me 6 months after use). It works well with xp 64 and just recently upgraded to windows 7 64 Ultimate and works well with that too. I have Intel Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz CPU, 8 Gigs of ram, a Nvida 9800 GTX+, 2 Samsung 1 TB hard drives and it scores 7.3 almost across the board for performance with Aero on except Disk data transfer rate is 5.9 from primary hard disk so this Motherboard does its job. Comment:
I do not over clock so I have no isea for performance for that. |

Last Gigabyte I buy
Cons: Will not poweroff when OS is shutdown. OS successfully shutsdown but power fan, cpu fan, system fans and graphic card fan continue to spin. Tired every bios setting and confirmed shutdown option in OS is correct. Flashed to most current bios as well. Board says rev 1.1 but no only downloadable bios is for rev 1.0
Pros: Inexpensive board with good set of features Comment:
This is the second Gigabyte board that I have purchased and had "unusual" but not fatal problems. I sent a message to Gigabyte support 4 days ago and they still have not opened it. Given all of the above, I am sticking with Asus. Eggs are for Newegg as their service and response is tops, bar none. |

DON'T US G-SKILL RAM
Cons: None at all.
Pros: Great brand name. Nice overclocking features. All the needed features. Overall a great board. Comment:
Do NOT use G-Skill ram in this board! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122 I have two of these boards now and the aforementioned ram, with both sticks installed, gives errors on memtest86. With either stick installed individually there are no errors. I also tried the same ram and testing in a GA-G41M-ES2L board and had the exact same issues. Check the motherboard compatibility list before buying ram! |

great board
Cons: None from my point of view but I bought it for typical home use, I am not an overclocker or a gammer but it appears to me to have many overclocking features.
Pros: Great board, quality connectors, sturdy construction, installed and ran on first attempt. I run it with Windows 7, 64 bit and an E8200 processor with 4gigs of memory. It runs cool and I have had no lock ups. Comment:

Solid board at the right price
Cons: Little I can think of, an ESATA plug would have been good. If you miss that, just buy a cheap SATA to ESATA bracket (Item#:N82E16812226006)
Pros: Worked flawlessly, very good feature set for the price, lots of USB plugs (8 on the rear+4 on internal headers), very good OC capability with adjustable voltages & timings (I used a rescued E8400@3.8 with very little tweaking), Windows 7 install was a charm, the board and all it's controllers were recognized immediately, Win 7 loaded all the drivers, I did not even open the included drivers CD. Ubuntu seemed to also work well (starting from the live CD, I did not install it). There is even an onboard COM port for the odd device that requires it. Comment:
Now that we have X55 & X58 for the higher end, spending more on a socket 775 MB does not make sense anymore. I got this board to replace a cheaper (by 10$) ASUS P5G41-M LE/CSM that had issues. If you plan on using a video card, save yourself the trouble and go with this board. |

Is it REALLY worth the Trouble
Cons: Quality control is horrible. This board was jittery from the start and would not post after 3-weeks. The RMA process is slow but Newegg was good enough to just give me a credit. But still, had to order a board and then replace the board... which is a lot of work. It also messed up my SATA drive but it was a simple repair.
Pros: Neat simple board both physically (Micro-Atx) and with regards to features. If you need 2 LANs, 2-PCIE, and RAID then this is the wrong board. It has only 1 of the essential LAN and PCIE16-2, but they are top in performance. I liked the Legacy stuff even though I am not using it (COM, LPT and IDE). I occasionally use RS232 but have grown use to doing this with an adapter that I tend to misplace, so I know I have a regular port in a jam. Comment:
I decided to order the EP45 version, received it but the Channel B memory slots don't work (won't pass POST). I read several other reviews and one said the same thing. Again this is a Quality Control issue. Nice board, but now I am scared this one will die on me too. No way this board should have come out of the box with a hard fault like this. The last RMA I tried to rush and Cost me $20.... so if I RMA this one that is $40 plus time and trouble... This is not a good thing. I was an ABIT fan (out of business), was hoping GIGABYTE would fill that hole, probably try another manufacturer to find that "trust" thing again. |
