Quickly, responsive, difficulty free of charge SSD. Installation was a snap thanks to the supplied 3.five" adapter bracket. None so far. It wasn't a huge upgrade from my Vertex two but it is noticeable. Shaved about a second from the boot time and reduced the launch time for Photoshop as well as the image processing time. Was in the market for yet another SSD anyhow, I wouldn't have switched from my Vertex just for SATA3. Now that the Vertex three is out I would possibly get it as an alternative due the SandForce controller.

In my opinion the key items I have enjoyed about this SSD is the reality that applications such as Photoshop CS5, Premiere Pro CS5, along with After Effects CS5 all load literally in a instant. The load occasions are notably faster than my old SSD, and quite honestly I never thought I'd say this but I love my new Intel SSD much more than I ever did my Vertex two. Most of the benchmarks I ran scored about the advertised specs. A single issue absolutely everyone will want to make sure even though is to make certain your MOBO is setup to recognize your SATA devices as ACHI rather of IDE since in IDE mode you WILL NOT come close to finding the sort of overall performance you could be getting. In my opinion a different pro is that Intel has the lowest failure rate for hardware than any other company at present selling personal computer hardware... Which by itself is a Massive plus. The price it sells at is affordable as nicely. (when compared to SSDs of comparable performance.)The Intel SSD toolbox is Fantastic to say the least... Trust me ... It doesn't seem to shine so a lot when testing 4k IOP's in benchmarks. Even though you also need to have to hold in thoughts the truth that MOST benchmarks utilized don't usually necessarily reflect "real globe" use and or efficiency. If anybody is wondering here is a list of my existing technique.CPU - Intel Core i7 2600k OC'd running @ 4.2GhzMOBO - ASRock Extreme four 񡼃 Socket) p67 boardPSU - CORSAIR Expert Series AX750 750W GPU - PNY Geforce GTX 470 (Fermi) SSD - Intel 510 series (Elm crest) (It's hooked up by way of sata III)RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB ƒ x 4GB) Case - Cooler Master HAF 942CPU Cooler - Dynatron K666 60mm 2 Ball CPU CoolerThermal Paste applied ( Arctic Silver five )Operating Technique - Windows 7 qualified SP1 installed

I haven't had to spend for a single. My wife won't let me obtain a single. Just a reply to "bud777"; despite the fact that a single drive won't exceed 600 MB/s, the aggregate throughput of two of them surely could; keep in mind that every single drive has a 6Gbps connection to the controller (assuming you don't have issues like SAS expanders in the picture). The bandwidth would be limited by the capability of the RAID controller and its connection to the rest of the method. If you're using a x8 PCI Express three. card then that limit is 8 GB/s. Put adequate of these SSDs in a RAID set on a single controller and I suspect the controller will run out of gas at about 2-3 GB/s. At operate we have 8 SLC SSDs in a RAID set and it is restricted by the controller at 2 GB/s.

Amazingly rapid. WOW boots in under 2 seconds. I am not confident what some of the other additional "meh" reviewers could ask for. Worth just about every penny. This completely smokes my previous method with Raptors. It ruined me on utilizing any non-SSD pc.

Regardless of what folks claim about MacBookPro compatibility and this SSD, I've upgraded mine late 2007 MBP to use this drive, and it recognized and worked fine for me. (Note: Only Windows 7 32bit installed + bootcamp three.two, no OSX) not really a CON for the drive, but considering that MBP 2007 has SATA1 and fortunately this drive is backwards compatible with it, it worked for me, does about 100mb/s Read and write. If I had to do it once more, Id rather replace the stock mbp drive with 7200 newer hardisk for 50 bux... Pretty high-priced drive for my upgrade

Incredibly rapid drive, installs very easily, comes with bay adapter, and is actually available. Was going to wait for the Vertex three, but Intel's reliability sold me. Other than the value, an great drive. Price tag is steep for storage, but a sub-30 second boot in Windows is worth it. Don't bother unless you have a SATA III 6Gb/s connection.

Using ATTO got 407 mb/s read, and 218 write max. Not as high as stated, but happy with it. The included SATA cable apparantly is not a SATA III. I was possessing boot difficulties and considerably lower speeds till utilised my mobo's 6mb/s cable, and then got affordable speeds as above and no further problems. Use the Intel migration software program, performs quite slick. I attempted my backup computer software, and had difficulties???

Upgraded from older SSD and definitely noticed an improve in efficiency. Windows boots and shuts down in less time, applications open quicker. According to AS SSD benchmark, seq read time was 339 MB/s and 192 MB/s write. Newegg service is very fast--received this item in much less than two days shipping. My motherboard supports 6 Gbps connections by means of the Marvell port which is restricted vs. native 6 Gbps. I'm not confident if TRIM commands are passed down when employing the Marvell 9123񴾘 controller. Check your motherboard specs before you acquire. RapidlyQuietEfficientSimple to installA lot more than sufficient space (provided you recall to adjust your windows restore allocation) Not rather the BLAZING quick it was suggested to be, but nonetheless drastically rapidly. Opted for a fresh install of Windows and all my apps and in undertaking so had to invest a number of hours on the telephone with numerous microsoft products to regain access to the licenses that it believed were utilized up. I traded up from a WD Black 1TB drive. It was converted to be my media drive, and the raise in speed is substantial.I would suggest investigate making use of the intel transfer tools to save from the headache of computer software telling you that you have run out of licenses. Spending the time on the phone receiving my apps activated surely took away from the ease of the experience.

Incredibly quick. Installed this on my new P67 Sabertooth with a 2600K. Installed Windows 7 64-bit without needing drivers or anything, loaded it just like it was a SATA drive. Windows automatically disables defragmenting as it auto-recognized it was an SSD. I considered waiting for the Vertex three, but preferred reliability over benchmarks. I really feel like a few less MB/s here and there is worth not getting headaches over blue screens (OCZ and Vital). Mounting bracket included, which is a good touch. Intel does it up proper. Can't genuinely think of any. Fairly challenging to fit every thing you want on 120GB, but I knew this going into it. Important - Make certain you disable Hibernation and adjust your page file. My new system has 16GB ram and windows was giving it a 12GB page file, I adjusted it down to max size of 1500MB and all is nicely. My hibernation file was 16GB in size, which is just insane. I possibly never would have noticed until I turned on "show technique files" in explorer and proper below C: I saw a giant 16GB hidden program file for hibernation. You have to turn it off in command line, as removing the tick from power settings didn't eliminate the monster file. Weird, because I'm on a desktop and have no need for hibernation.

This factor booted no dilemma in my new Sandy Bridge create. Not only is it trustworthy so far but really rapid. My windows 7 boot occasions with all apps loaded is about three-five seconds! Not truly a large deal but the three.5" converter plate ought to have let the ssd have a little overhang on the connectors for odd sata cable connector types. Even though it's only 120gb's for the expense it was well worth it!

SATA 6Gbs, WEI 7.8, CrystalDisk benchmarks suitable on specs target. Didn't want to wait for the Vertex 3 to turn into readily available, plus Intel has an excellent track record on reliability. None Not positive if I can feel the difference however from my Intel 80GB SSD (WEI 7.three), which now is in my laptop. The efficiency difference was Massive when I bought my 1st Intel SSD, now upgrading to yet another SSD the excitement is not the similar. Any individual still using a HDD for OS and Apps actually must strongly think about a SDD.

It's Rapidly, perhaps too quickly? Works wonderful with Win7-64 bit and Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. (not really a con) two of these in RAID , execeeded SATA 6Gb standard. Ok i didn't think about ahead of I ordered 2 of these. I put two in a RAID and according to HD Tune I was receiving an avg of 910mb/sec read and 623mb/sec write. SATA 6Gb must be limit to 600mb/sec appropriate? Didn't trigger any complications and it was only a test setup. I now have every single drive in seperate computers. Just some thing to think about.
