Performs fantastic soon after two 1ǘ years. Easily the strongest buy I've created in some time and reason being: It runs as fast as the day I purchased it. I can't Overclock this processor as it is currently overclocked. CPU-id had stated that it is factory overclocked from two.40ghz to the 2.93ghz you get with this. Next time intel, give us a processor that is stock clocked like that with no overclocking, so folks like me can mess with the bios... Nevertheless permits for me to run most existing day games at complete settings.

fast, stays cool, does almost everything I have want to to. Operate stuff it does with no effort, the enjoyable stuff, effectively it is quite at ease with that as well. Confident, could be a Quad core, but why bother? My computer system workload is pretty light, just minor spreadsheets, e mail and reports(reallly lightweight). My machine spends two-3 hours a day gaming, I use an Xbox 360 contoller for my games (I only use "Games For Windows" labels) and this maching runs great. Throught it's Nvidia 9600 GT it drives each my hi def monitor and mt analog . This machine drives my television with 1 system and my monitor with someting elsel

The processor runs nice and quickly and the fans are really quiet. I have had no challenges with it. It took me a even though to get the fan seated into the motherboard adequately, but maybe that was just my inexperience so I won't take a star off for that. I didn't know this, but the stock fan that comes with it has thermal compound already on it, so if you strategy to use the stock cpu fan then you won't need to have to obtain thermal compound. I'm running a normal cpu speed, no overclocking.

I bought this for a Hackintosh construct. Despite the fact that final-gen doesn't seem also thrilling, what is essential about this processor is the fact that it has unlocked multipliers. I have this operating at three.five GHz with the stock cooler and it's operating incredibly steady. Even if you don't have overclocking or budget gaming in mind, this processor is a quite good option for everyday work and HTPC applications. Price. Sandy Bridge was released not too extended ago, and the cost on this processor (one that's a bit outdated, too) hasn't dropped yet. It's not a major issue, but nevertheless.

At the time of its release, was a very good Intel chip for the cost. I definitely hate the plastic push-pin fan mounts for this socket. They feel affordable and leave you doubting your operate. As of April 2011, I would hugely advise the Sandy Bridge models more than the Core2 Duo unless you are constrained by the 775 socket. The i3's blow the Core2 Duos away.

Does a good job at keeping items cool. Runs every little thing super rapid! Set up manual has quite detailed images on what to do when installing. Anybody could do it. Heat sink, and fan was a little difficult to set up, but practically nothing a little trial, and error couldn't repair.
