Handy but tricky on XP netbook

The detection for the USB components on my Dell Mini10 required a reboot for the Bluetooth stack to find the device and activate. In this case, I had to uninstall the Dell Bluetooth stack, reboot, install the InterLink stack (which is actually Toshiba), reboot, THEN plug in the adapter. But runs quite well now, will mostly buy another. |

Can't get it to work with my device

Great toy at a reasonable price

I love being able to listen to my music privately using a bluetooth headset! Quick install and functions well. Somethings to be aware of: I'm using a motorola S9 headset and when you link for the first time, make sure anything else using bluetooth is off! Also, the drivers make windows xp and xp64 boot in a funky manner. I run the dongle on a USB hub on my desk so I can boot and THEN connect rather than leaving the dongle in all the time. This may very well be an idiosyncrasy of my equipment set up, so your experience may vary. I listen to music and watch DVDs with no problem. Transmission speeds make watching Youtube a bit hinky but it works well more often than not. If you don't have room for a bluetooth PCI card, this is a cheap option to see if you like it and works well with a Samsung Blackjack 2. |

I've been using this to sync my Palm Treo with Outlook on my desktop computer. It connects without fail every time and the data transfer speed is excellent. A great little device. My system is running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit, 8GB ram. The drivers installed automatically. |

Plug and play with Vista. Worked fine with Win 7 after upgrade from Vista as well. Didn't need software that came with it. Worked with mouse and cell phone from across room with no problem at all. Small footprint so I leave it plugged in all the time...looks like it belongs on the laptop. |

Won't get knocked out

Almost small enough to be able to close the shutter on the front of my desktop (HP Pavilion a1020n) and the USB cover on my HP tc1100. I still think that it is a '5' because it works well. The software seems very well-written and I like the on-screen command window. |

Works with Win7 32 and Vista

I installed this on my Laptop that has a dual boot to Win 7 32 bit and Windows Vista 32 bit. It worked flawlessly with both operating systems. I did not install the included software. I used the already installed Toshiba Bluetooth stack for each operating system. Paired my Holux GPS and my Palm Centro with no problems at all. Good value. |
