Kensington 64325 Black Wired TrackBall Ultimate Trackball Mouse
Cons:This is not a gaming or coding cut/paste input device. Do not buy if you're a professional requiring high dexterity. Brief learning curve for mousers. Receiver bearings are tiny and subject to pitch with lint and grease. Keep it clean. Scroll wheel is kinda rough'n'bumpy and odd to spin around in comparison to the ball. Kinda hurting the backside of my thumb knuckle contacting that heavy left button, getting used to it, would have liked to see the ball touch, (even brush scrolling) sensitive. There's no competing manufacturers, monopolistic.

Pros:Very smooth and fairly accurate for low speed pixel stepping, yet easy to accelerate with that big ball. Great for design and surfing. Highly recommended for tactile mobility or elderly assistance. Nice cushion and no mouse pad. Takes up less desk real estate and always in one place, like keyboard trays. Proven model for many years. There's nothing that can compare to its uniqueness.
Comment:
For my purposes, i am really happy with the result since i last used a trackball some twenty five years ago. Kensington has a good name for quality and I did like Wacom's price or those silly gaming mice that feel like stealth weapons in my hand. Is a reliable input device being in one spot and kept clean. Beyond satisfactory, I will buy again if they improve on the scroll and button sensitivity. I will also give this another star for the *ultra-smooth ball*. Thanks for the prompt service to get this into my order already going out the door!

Kensington 64325 Black Wired TrackBall Ultimate Trackball Mouse
Cons:PriceMouseworks software not Vista/7/64bit compatible

Pros:FunctionProgramabilityLooks
Comment:
This trackball was awesome until I upgraded from XP to Vista 64 & then Win 7 64 bit. The driver/software is not compatible & they have no plans to make it compatible. It only works as a basic mouse under those systems, no programability. Under XP it was great with tons of options. Compatibilty mode doesn't help either. Unless you have XP with no intentions of upgrading I wouldn't buy this again.
