I use only the bluetooth serial port service to connect to my Palm Tungsten T2. I disabled all other bluetooth services that came with the SW. Anyway, I have no problem surfing or with email. BTW, You need to install mrouter (freeware) to allow your Palm to connect to the internet.

Cant say positive or negative because it is not working. I have a Computer upstair that is not connected to the internet and I was hoping the blue tooth would be the answer. I tried downloading the cd and it will not accept it. SO I have a blue tooth with no home because I have not had the time to figure out why this is not taking.

CHEAP AND WORKS FINE
Comment:
In my opinion this product is for tech savvy people. It came with no instruction just a Driver Setup Software Disc which in my case I did not need at all. Worked fine on my Treo 755p and my brother Samsung Instinct on Windows Vista (64-Bit). I didn't even needed to use the driver disc that came with the USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter. Windows Vista quckly picked up the USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter and installed the required drivers. I did had a little bit of trouble fiquring out how to sync my Treo 755p with my computer via bluetooth but that was because of the Palm Desktop program. My only CON is that the price for Shipping and Handling was a bit too much for a small item

Hardware OK but software sucks
Comment:
The device arrived in a timely manner and was in good working order. Then I found that I needed a software upgrade that cost 3 times the price of the dongle. Would not purchase again.

Do not Recommend
Comment:
I would not buy one again. It needs software to run and there is only a DEMO software included that only lets you transfer 5MB data. It worked short term but it now does not work unless I shell out $30.00 more for the software. If you are not tech savie, the software is hard to use.

s'alright.
Comment:
It allowed me to connect my phones to my computer via bluetooth, and I'm sure it'll work well for my bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I want to get. The shipped program, Bluesoleil, is the interface for the dongle, and it's a bit confusing and ugly looking.

Great for the Price
Comment:
It works well for the inexpensive price. I had some trouble initially getting it setup. It has to be in a PC based USB slot. It does not work in a USB 1 to 4 splitter.

Not working yet
Comment:
When this product was shipped to me the driver CD was cracked in half! I tried to download the driver and they want me to pay more for the driver than I paid for the device. It still is not working yet.

This little donle did not work with my head set. The software was obsolete ant needed to upgraded but the upgrade costed 3 time more then the device. Wow was I surprised. I sent it back and ordered a different one. Fnny thing is the same software drive my new one but it came with the upgrade and when I checked to see if there was a upgrade avaliable was when I found out the same level upgreade with the other co. was free if needed then I new there was a sam going on with the Kinmax co. of China besides a brand new device needing a upgrade should be free of charge or not need a upgrade to opperate at the time of purchase.. BOOOOO HISssssssssssss

Bad Deal
Comment:
The product came with a driver from 2007. In order to recognize my headset I had to purchase the current version for almost $30. I do not recommend this product.

Plug and play flawlessly with Windows 7 x64 (build 7100). Finds and communicates with my Palm Centro. LED isn't too bright. Sturdy construction. Nice and slim to accommodate more usb devices. *Slow* relative to other devices. Package states 1mb/s, while I couldn't find such information on this website. Was expecting 2-3mb/s like other BT adapters. Still, that speed is acceptable for the price and my needs.

vga usb dongle review
Comment:
I require a dual computer display for my work at home. My new monitor (a digital display) was to be my primary display, and my old 15 inch VGA monitor was to be the secondary display. For all of my trying, I simply could not get windows vista to recognize both types of monitors/video cards at the same time. The USB dongle adapter works perfectly. I can choose to mirror the display, extend the display, switch primary and secondary displays etc. Overall, pleased with the product.

Finally a product that lets me keep that micro sd chip IN THE PHONE (instead of on the carpet, in the plants, wherever else it lands when it spring loaded pops away!) Great product that eliminates a step between transporting data between your phone and your desktop/laptop!!

Pretty Good; Great value
Comment:
Pros: Device itself works as advertised. Good for it's price. Cons: The driver that came with it was only XP compatable; it didn't like my vista. I found another one just fine. And it worked like a charm on my Ubuntu Linux.

For the money you can't do any better than this. The included software will do what you need it to do, I haven't bought the newest version of the software so I don't know what i'm missing, but it works in vista, which surprised me

Works great with XP. used it for an experiment with the wii remote and creating a VR helmet. Worked exactly as advertised. I have a different version of BlueSoleil than what it came with and there were no issues at all

Kinamax 328 Foot BT-USB - USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter
Comment:
The drivers that come with this device will not install with Windows XP SP3. I downloaded the latest available drivers from Kinamax which also wouldn't install. It may be that the latest BlueSoleil includes the latest drivers but I am unwilling to spend thirty bucks to find out.

Kinamax 328 Foot BT-USB - USB 2.0 Bluetooth Adapter
Comment:
Utter piece of garbage. Even at $13.99 it was too expensive for the two hours of headaches it caused me. I made the mistake of installing the included software and at the next bootup I noticed that my speakers no longer worked. Uninstalling BlueSoleil didn't fix the problem. Thank God for Xp's System Restore (although I had to go into safe mode to get it to work). As others noted, the software you get is limited. To get a full updated version you have to buy it from BlueSoleil for 19.95 Euros! That's over CDN$32.00. Save your money and buy a more expensive Bluetooth/USB dongle from a more reputable manufacturer to start with. You'll end up saving money.
