Place this into a two X 512MB laptop and put it up to 1.5GB. This was bought primarily simply because of Vista Home Premium SP1 which added added load times and lag. Shoulda got 2 now I got a spare 512. now what.

Functions well; a must for any laptop operating Windows Vista. Windows rates it as a 4.8 on its Practical experience Index, which is higher than other RAM sticks I've bought. Umm, not cost-free?

Each Booted no troubles works as advertised Wish it was these costs two years ago :) Performs wonderful on the laptop. Vista functions alot far better now and laptop moves alot better then the two 512K sticks.

Kingston tends to make great memory and has fantastic tech help. Regardless of that Newegg memory compatibility match thinks this memory performs in an Intel Inspiron 1501, it does not. I got this memory module to upgrade an Intel Inspiron 1501 from 1 gig to two gig (the max for the model). Out of the box it does not function. There is a timing issues that some men and women have fixed with other modules by plugging the old 512mb in slot 1 and a new in slot 2, rebooting, then the other new a single in slot 1 and rebooting once more accepting a single module at a time. This did not perform for this module in my case. I also attempted to adjust the voltage in the bios, and failed. When I ordered my two 1 gbs of Kingston memory for only 58 bucks I was expecting it to be also great to be accurate. But no it is precisely as advertised. Ordered on a friday got it on thurday great shipping. I couldnt think I just doubled the quantity of memory in my new laptop for that price tag. Amazing! I will be purchasing Kingston merchandise from now on.

Superb value! Operates very effectively with my Dell XPS M140 laptop. Now my computer system is so quickly! I program to order a different Kingston 1GB RAM. None Lifetime warranty, doesn't get any far better than that.
