Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:kinda got scammed by ncix...

Pros:10mbps...guess thats fast?
Comment:
so i saw this on the website for 4.99. then went to ncix instore to buy a 16gig adata one along with this 8gig kingston. but when i got home, realized this 8gig kingston one costed me 7.99 (exactly the same as the one on this page), which means it costed the same amount as my 16gig adata. guess it kinda my fault, but also kinda false advertisement.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:not as fast as some other high-end USB 3.0 memory sticks (eg. Corsair Flash Voyager).

Pros:Quick and cheap!
Comment:
Kingston makes solid, reliable memory sticks. The 8GB USB 3.0 model is faster than the USB 2.0 model from Kingston, thought not quite as fast as other USB 3.0 sticks. For $10 or less, how can you complain?

Cons:None

Pros:Economical

Great little drive for installing Windows. I have a few of these that I use for this purpose. I can't really comment on data transfer speed as I've never tested one, but it seems to be OK. A good buy for under $5.

Cons:Slow write speedNo activity light

Pros:Decent read speedNo-lid design
Comment:
If you're ok with the slow write speed (say, you only store few important files, or make it an OS boot stick where little is written), this is cheap, decent storage.Don't use for instal Win7. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-15-14 03:53 PM

Bought a few of these on sale ($5/ea). Much more rugged and solid than i thought. plasic housing, but thick. solid sliding mechanism as well. I don't think i'll be breaking any of these anytime soon.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:None.

Pros:Good speed, durability, looks, function.
Comment:
The transfer rate seems good enough for a USB 3.0 flash drive, it seems rugged and built well enough to throw into your pocket with keys or bag and the open and close slider feels a little hard to open and close but I suppose that's better than one that is too easy or feels flimsy like it will stop working properly. For $5 and free shipping it can't be beat.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:No LightDO NOT USE TO INSTALL WINDOWS 7

Pros:Compact
Comment:
Good overall USB but be warned about the common "Cannot locate partition error" in the Win 7 install menu. This is a common problem with all USB 3.0 drives, you can't find a "suitable" partition when install Win 7 from a USB 3.0 stick.Otherwise good overall.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:None yet

Pros:Fast, indestructible
Comment:
Although this flash drive works great and transfers very fast, I had to write this review to point how how "indestructible" they are. I accidentally put one through the laundry in the pocket of my shorts (both the washer and dryer). I just assumed it would be toast, but all the data was still intact on it and I've had no problems. Have been using it regularly ever since. Pretty impressive! :)

Pros:price, $4.9950-60mb/s read
Comment:
i knew this was a cheapo USB3 stick, but for the love of God can this sucker not copy stuff onto it faster than 10mb/s... Bad Kingston for wasting five bucks (plus tax). It's like watching paint dry copying to this sucker.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:A bit too wide

Pros:CaplessGood value when on sale
Comment:
Very good USB for transferring smaller files between computers. The capless design makes it convenient and less likely to lose your caps. The only complaint is the drive is a bit too wide, if your USB ports are side by side, it might make plugging other ports slightly difficulty.

Kingston 8GB USB3.0 DataTraveler 100 G3 USB Flash Drive
Cons:Caplets design leaves connection end exposed

Pros:Price, reliable, NO keying, USB 3 speed
Comment:
Our people go through USB drives like peanuts so we no longer support that option (cloud storage!)However, we still use them a lot. Kingston drives have been good for us as they seem to outlast other brands as far as all the abuse they see. So it is the only brand we consider. However, the open end to the connector is a real downer.I say yeah to no keying as that's when we see the most failures.

Comment:
Purchased this on sale but even at regular price it's worth it. There's no special software and since I'm a Linux user I never use it anyway. There is a slider that protects the connector that shouldn't wear out even if played with.I'm using this 8G size for backup images on the Chromebook. So far so good. Recognized immediately and the image is created in record time.
