Performs great. Received a unit with firmware 9745. Everything reads fine and no added drive icons show up (win 7 x64). None. The USB cord length is no difficulty.

Separate SD & Micro SD slots is cool. Don't require an adapter. I personally like the short integrated cable. I retain this in a drawer and only take it out when needed and then plug it into the front of the Pc. I like not having to search for each the reader and the cable. It comes with an extender cable if you require it. The way the cable snaps in location for storage is hokey. More complicated than it needs to be, but it works fine. Had to get this because my old reader couldn't manage SDHC. Shows up in OS as four various devices - just like the old reader, so I assume this is normal.

Really light, portable, simple to use, fast. short usb cord, but it does come with an extension. Not firewire/faster. This card reader is great. Kingston makes high quality merchandise when it comes to anything photo associated. I am a wedding photographer and this reader gets some hefty use from me both at property and in the area. Had it for more than a year, absolutely nothing undesirable to report. CF card transfer is rapid, but firewire would be far better nonetheless.

Lots of slots Doesn't work, no voltage on the board, like other people stated it's not worth the trouble to RMA so this is a waste of $.

Economical and performs prefectly! What does a company that is named immediately after a South Africa town feature an Easter Island Moai? The slide out / slide in function is odd, the instructions give no rational for this feature, I think this serves as some sort of dust cover?

I chose this item for its versatility of card readers, as effectively as its price tag. I use this item both at home and in the classroom, and no matter which memory device the student or I use, we are in a position to use it in this reader. None

* no separate cord to shed* nicely stowable -- straightforward to throw in a drawer or bag* works* It comes with an extension if you want a longer cord none Just purchased my 2nd one particular. My 1st one ƒ yrs or so) is nevertheless going powerful but I got tired of my daughter borrowing it and leaving it wherever.

Has a microSD slot and doesn't take up a lot of room on my desk. It operates. Doesn't have a USB port? Course, I knew that ahead of time, it's just as well poor. Yeah, the connection cable is short, but it contains an extension cord...so...it's a non situation.

Kingston USB 2.0 Hi-Speed 19-in-1 Media Reader
Comment:
Inexpensive, handles many formats Much larger than it looks in the images (larger than any reader I've owned in truth), brief USB cord, crashed my machine when initial plugged in. Also comes with no documentation (even though it's a pretty easy item to use). I bought this reader solely due to the fact my old one did not work with my new 64-bit Windows 7 personal computer, no matter how I tried. My memory cards are all regular SD cards, two gig and below, and on those it performs fine, so for my narrow purposes I give it high marks. Major concern even though - when I initially plugged it in, the laptop or computer right away powered down! It was like I had unplugged it! I left the reader plugged in although, restarted the pc, it loaded the drivers, and it has been fine since then. If you sell a item that will so harshly crash a computer this way, then you'd far better provide really clear documentation stating so. They don't.

Reads cards with no issues, and I like the extension cable that came with it. Also is modest and compact which is good. The only con I have is the slots for MicroSD and MMCmicro are incredibly sensitive. This is my second card reader and the modest plastic piece in between these two slots broke on the very first read of a Micro SD card. The card goes in, but then doesn't come out and to get it out, that plastic breaks. All other slots are perfect, just not these. I have a MicroSD to SD converter card, so doesn't actually bother me. A great purchase for all those cards slots...

Reads Almost everything! I have not put anything into this reader that it hasn't been capable to read. The cable could be a touch longer, but then it wouldn't fit into the back when stored so I can't genuinely complain. On the other hand it would nevertheless be good. Hands down 1 of the most beneficial and versatile pieces of personal computer equipment I have EVER purchased!

I have employed the usb extension many times to connect a kvm to a laptop. The card slots are set fairly far back in the card reader. I discover it hard to pull sd cards out simply because there is a large decorative trim in the way. It's reasonably priced and doesn't block several usb ports like my other usb card reader. I use them for reinstalling operating systems so either way, it is hassle-free.

Simply connects to Computer/laptop. Quickly transfers none so far I primarily bought this product to read compact flash cards that I use with my Canon 7D camera. Most of my shoots capture Raw images....seldom JPG. The file sizes are about 25MB every. I typically capture among 400-600 images on my cards (Lexar Pro 16GB 300x). This flash reader operates incredibly nicely and can transfer the photographs quite quick. The little size of the reader tends to make it effortless for me to carry it with me in the field. I program to buy another reader soon.

Never ever had a card reader ahead of, but I'm glad I bought it! It lastly enabled me to get music onto my telephone (LG enV Touch). I never knew it was this straightforward... just drag the mp3's into the music folder. Bam! I've been listening to music all day while studying at the library. Now I don't have to go obtain an iPod to replace the a single that was stolen =) A bunch of other slots I don't need? ^^

Great obtaining all the features and the slide out front to connect up to. When trying to take away my micro SD the modest plastic tab that goes across to seperate the slots broke off. Not only that a second one particular did and then the card would not remain seated inside. It quit reading my SD micros suitable off. As well numerous slots in as well modest a space and not very trustworthy. I bought an Iogear 6 in 1 that has a smaller card that you can insert numerous diverse size cards into then you just slide that card in and almost everything is fine.
