Nice Memory Works Like A Champ

Pros: Great memory for the price. Installed this stick in minuts in my Acer laptop. Took off right away with no hassles. Pros: The 2 1gb Kingston KVR667D2S5 memory sticks were easily installed in my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. It was up and running in 5 minutes. At this time I can not quantify if the performance has been increased.Newegg.com provides exceptional e-mail documentation on the order. Comment:

it works, i'm happy
Cons: none, runs like a champ.
Pros: it was a free add on with some other purchase... so it was cheap. i forgot if it came with my laptop or what. It resides in my asus F3t laptop which is used for some pretty intensive 3d CAD work (solidworks, 3d studio max, alias) as well as the usual Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. This module was added to what was stock in the laptop and it works just dandy. I have been thinking of upgrading to two 2GB sticks of kingston so i can work with 4gb. 2gb gets taxed pretty hard when i'm doing my cad work. but it still works nonetheless. Comment:
I am only going to retire this ram due to the need for more memory. Upgrading to 4gb (2x2gb) from my current 2gb (2x1gb). I will be sad to see it go. |

Have a dual boot MSI WIND.. installed without a hiccup. Works great in Windows XP and OS X Leopard.. .no BSOD's or Kernel panics. Have the turbo mode turned on in XP, overclocking the 1.6Ghz Atom to 2Ghz.... runs cool and quite stable. |

My Kingston 1 gig Ram actually shows up as 1.045 gigs in BIOS!!! That's 45 megs more than I paid for-yes! I upgraded my Acer Aspire One with noticeable improvements in performance!If you're planning on buying an Acer Aspire One--I recommend that you buy the version that already has the 1gig ram pre-installed because Acer Aspire 1z are very difficult to upgrade Ram with because I literally had to take mine apart. |

Cons: I had bought two sticks for my laptop and they ran fine for a few months until one of the modules died on me. I ran memtest and isolated the bad stick.
Pros: Well this ram performed well until a module died. Comment:
I'm giving the ram 4 eggs because I do think the ram is good, I guess I just got a fluke / power surge / something that knocked out one of my modules. I ordered a replacement stick for dirt cheap and everything runs silky smooth now so no real complaints. |

Finally got around to upgrading memory on my 2 year old ASUS W3V. Was a bit worried because the 512mb OEM chip was a PC2-3200. These and even the PC2-4200's are much more expensive now than the PC2-5300's. And Kingston does not even list the 5300 as compatible with this machine. But, no problem, worked like a charm and machine is much, much faster. Ran Memtest for over 2 hours and no problems. (Hope this helps save a few bucks for those with older machines!) |

In all the time I have used Kingston memory products I have only had to return one item our of many. Customer service was courteous and replacement was prompt.
