Cons:The disk tray mechanisism doesn't seems solid and even feels cheap. I've seen and owned tons of PC drives in my life and this one feels cheaper than most of it.
Pros:I'd say below average for the sounds but not leagues below. If you are planing to buy it for a media center in the living room, go for, you won't notice it. I got it for 79$, unbeatable price for a BD burner. |

This unit has worked well and the price couldn't be beat. It is working the same as it did the first try I used it (which should be expected given only 3 months have elapsed. When the disk is spinning, it is relatively quiet indicating it is running smooth. |

This drive is on sale quite often, and for 85 bucks. I needed something for mass data backup, and this thing performs like a champ! I have already burned 20 bluray and a few dvd-dl discs in it, and every one is perfect. It is also very quiet, which I'm sure movie watchers will appreciate. I can't vouch for the playback software, it may need to be updated, but as a burner this drive will not let you down. Grab it on sale now! |

drive is quiet and good, when it works. backup'd a few bluray movies for watching when on the road, it read them pretty quickly. burn speeds are fast. havent gotten any coasters yet. but just the other day my drive decided to not detect any type of disk that i put it in. seems like the laser on mine died (build date for drive was may 2011) contacted support and they said i can submit a repair request and have my drive exchanged under warranty. i decided to call the LG warehouse in Mississauga and they told me to just bring it in after submitting the repair request instead of waiting for a reply from support as they could access the support ticket system. got my replacement drive really quick and easy (experience may very from person to person). |

Cons: - The box does not neither mention the software version nor what it can play and what not. - You will need to change the 3D/2D in the player, the player plays the new video as per the settings chosen earlier. - It could not play my vc-1 WMV 1080p files.
Pros:Worked great and could play 3D Tron 3D blu-ray fine. The bundled software to play videos is Cyberlink PowerDVD version 9, but had no issues in play 3D. Comment:

I've made my command on wednesday at 11:30 pm and it arrived promptly on monday, fast as usual with NCIX.BD movies are playing nicely and silently. Disk access is fast. No blank BD disk included in my box (yes, it comes in a box, it's not a OEM). I've seen unboxing of it on Youtube and I was expecting it. It's not a problem, really. I guess it's a SKU or zone issue.
