Holds everthing you need to an HTPC and does it properly. Just a Modest complaint :) Little screws employed to fasten the support bar in the middle and to mount HD cage. These screws are Smaller, straightforward to strip, and shed. I pretty much lost two not taking my time. I've already added a review but wanted to update with a major suggestion when outfitting the internals.Get a modular energy provide!Get a PS that allows you to add only the cables you want to use. I tried to save much less then บ.00 dollars and purchased a CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX instead of the modular one. Enjoy this PS but putting all the cables in was tricky. Eliminating a couple of cables that I don't want would make a very nice clean case install. I only would need 1 to power the HD and DVD drive. instead I have four cables that do absolutely nothing but block air flow.Spend a few dollars much more for a modular PS.1 last factor, I got an LG HD-DVD / BluRay recorder as properly. It is longer then a regular DVD drive. This also impacted PS and DVD drive installation as then are back to back. Really tight.I believed I had believed of everything prior to I bought my parts. Hope this assists....

Good finish - fits in nicely with my other components. Almost everything seems sturdy/well constructed. Included hardware had almost everything I needed. Fits a full ATX power supply (which is good), but it is a tight squeeze! Even with modular power supply cables, the cables are jammed against the back the optical/HDD tray. Space problems are to be expected in a compact case like this, but it seems like it could have been created a little greater. I wouldn't even try to use a power supply that doesn't have the capacity to disconnect and get rid of some of the unused cables. Directions had been a little lacking...but there isn't a lot you need to know about a case.

Overall this is the ideal case for a HTPC. Practically every screw in the case comes with a rubber washer on it cutting down the noise level. Straightforward to install all components, was a actually fast and painless develop. Front LED's are a little bright if the HTPC is sitting near eye level and can be a little distracting when watching movies. I was able to rearrange some devices on my Television stand so that it sits lower and isn't a challenge. Preserve in mind that this is a HTPC and there is very little vertical space to accommodate most aftermarket heatsinks / fans.

Superior searching. Very good design. A lot of internal space. Quiet. Fits into my property theater rack nicely. The front panel energy LED connection does not match my motherboard (ZOTAC H55ITX-C-E), so I don't have the power-on indicator at front. My htpc config:-ZOTAC H55ITX-C-E LGA 1156 Intel H55 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard-Intel i3-550-G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL-SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD204UI 2TB 5400 RPM SATA three.0Gb/s 3.five" Internal Tough Drive -Bare Drive-Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Media Center Kit Dual Tv Tuner 1213 PCI-Express x1 Interface-LIAN LI Black Aluminum PC-C37B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case-LITE-ON Black 4X Blu-ray Disc Reader SATA Model iHOS104-08-A 380W PSU The depth of this case is a bit too much for my residence theater rack. So you will need to pay attention. But it's not a con for this case itself. I have a slim rack, so this case protrudes from the back of my rack.Comparison to SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum Grandia Series GD05B case. The C37B is more expensive but nicer (worth the added). I ordered both and returned the GD05B. The C37B is accurate aluminum polished front, the GD05B looks like aluminum but it is plastic and look dull. Also the GD05B does not have a front cover for the optical drive bay, so your drive will be exposed. Dimension wise, the GD05B is much less deep (which is superior to me), but taller (which makes it not as slim).

Really good case... Solid really feel -- I like. The production description lists this item as getting Ř normal height expansion slots". It is in reality, a low profile. I must have known seeking at the height of this case, but I pushed that order button prior to I believed about it. I'm RMA'ing my case to get some thing bigger. Would have been superb if I was happy with going with low-profile expansion slots. RMA was straightforward -- I just lost cash to shipping.

Lian-Li PC-C37B Aluminum HTPC Case - Black
Comment:
I was seeking for a superior HTPC case well under 6". This was 1 the few(mostly Lian Li) I could discover that takes a normal PSU. It is quiet and runs cool. Very well engineered. The one and only thing, which is not a big deal, is the DVD/CD front cover flap door would not work properly with my Optiarc DVD unit. The tray kept finding stuck on the tray. But no issue LIAN Li believed this out and made the flap door easily removable. I installed with out the door and it looks like component of the unit. This is not a con. Issues are cramped but properly thought out(but that is why you are paying excellent dollars for a HTPC case) Take some time and preparing to fit every thing together. In the finish every little thing goes nicely together and you will be pleased with your selection.

Great good quality - easy to put a laptop or computer together with. The lights on the front a Extremely bright - I do not have mine plugged in as they are brighter than I want in my living room. Lian Li makes the finest situations - I have two of them and will generally be a customer of theirs if they maintain this high quality up!

Lian-Li PC-C37B Aluminum HTPC Case - Black
Cons:- Exhaust/fan vents are significantly obstructed. Not recommended for systems needing good ventilation.- The support bar is tedious to remove, as is the 3.5" modular bay, since you must remove small screws that anchor them to the rear and side of the case. Fitting devices into the modular 5.25" drive bay insert  is very tight.- Upper panel is broad and thin aluminum, making it prone to vibration.

Pros:- Quality construction, functional layout.- Attractive finish, fairly low profile with room for some after-market heatsinks.- Included 70x10mm fans are very quiet, though they don’t move much air.
Comment:
I really like the case, but will not buy a second due to its shortcomings for ventilation. I wish that they sold a version of this case, at the same profile, with two 5.25" bays (they fit just fine - see below). This is my first Lian Li case; it is very well-made but some simple changes would make it more versatile (read: better vent design).Layout:- The PC-C37 has 4x low-profile slots and supports a regular ATX power supply, while the PC-C36 case supported full-length cards on their side at the expense of the PSU bay.- Internal layout of the case is simple and clean, with just enough room to allow for full-depth 5.25" devices in front of a full-size ATX power supply (with fan facing upward). I have 170mm-deep hotswap cages in the 5.25" area, which leaves ~6cm/2.5” between them and the PSU for cabling.- There is a lot of unused space in front of the motherboard, within which you can place the single modular 3.5" bay. There would be room for at least two positioned one above the other, except that the bay overlaps the motherboard and the power/led bracket sticks out a good inch into the case.- The last slot on a mATX board has precious little room between the edge of the PCB and the power supply, and there is no extra PCI slot hole for anyone hoping to place a video card in this final slot.Ventilation and noise:- It is quiet so long as your fans are slow enough, but turbulence is a problem for faster fans due to the horribly opaque spacing of vent holes. The upper panel is also prone to some vibration.- Upper vents are positioned for LGA775, though also very far back, and do not align well for LGA1156/1155 HSFs. There are 4 case fan positions (for 70x10mm fans, two included), which just like the upper vents are severely obstructed. You are limited to 10mm fans along the motherboard (rear and middle positions along the right side).- The included 70mm fans can be daisy-chained via the attached LP4 molex connectors (they support both LP4 and 3-pin connectors). They are very quiet, but do not move much air and would be difficult to replace. There is no need/benefit to undervolt them.Other thoughts:- I modified the case to support dual 5.25" bays -- following a short trip to a water-cutter, I now have a very attractive low-profile server box with 8x2.5 hotswap bays. It is unfortunate that the included 5.25" cage is fabricated to only allow for 3.5" devices on the bottom, since there is lots of room for two full bays in the case (didn't design the case for me, of course). Velcro to the rescue, for me, which was a great solution to replace the included bay insert.
