Wonderful coverage range. Based on use may well will need a reset when a month. I have purchased 3 of these routers 1 for myself and 2 for a network I setup for a neighborhood church. The range is excellent on them, all other characteristics function as advertised.

Uncomplicated setup. Setup employing Ubuntu 9.ten was easy sufficient. The included CD is not necessary, if you connect directly to the routers IP address. Um, it runs hot incredibly hot. I ran the router connected to three computers making use of Linksys/Cisco N+ USB adapters. Ran fine for four hours then all network activity stopped. Checked on the router just about every light was blinking on and off. Picked up the router and burnt my finger. Unplugged it and could not get it to power back on, and had a good smell of melted plastic. Cisco dump the silly UFO looking case and get some airflow in your routers if they run that hot.

OK - its a router, it works. Simple to set up. I purchased this router as Linksys was touting the new house network defender as a way to "control your network." There are actually no new access restriction features you didnt have in considerably older models. Nonetheless can't effectively block p2p...... spent two hours on live tech assistance before they woudl admit all this. If you need to have a new router, fine but dont waste your dollars upgrading.

I have had this factor operating for a week. No issues with it at all. I did not use the included software program when setting up this router. I at the moment have it running at five ghz, and have had no lags, disconnects or problems at all. It actually sped up my world wide web as well. Does not run any hotter than my other wireless rounter did even when under a heavy load. Won't cook me breakfast. Cost. I read a lot of evaluations just before getting this router. From time to time it is required to differentiate between those writing critiques mainly because they don't like the linksys firm, and those that are essentially disgruntled with their item. I found much more comments tailored to the dislike of the business than this item. As I have stated above, I read by way of the various complications with the included software on the linksys forums. Some of the IT guys from linksys are even telling customers to uninstall the software and set up their merchandise manualy.

worked great out of the box even though i flashed it with dd-wrt practically instantly as that was my program for it. tons of attributes and connection is quite stable. none i did semi-brick it (my fault) utilizing dd-wrt and was unable to restore making use of standard methods but found a web page that showed how to open up the router and connect a pin to ground to do a tough reset and all was properly following that.

Incredibly uncomplicated to install - nice box and layout. Net interface works nicely. Does not live up to it's claim of greater range than the "G" model. Client support was very disappointing and practically non-existent - seemed to not care even although I had been a customer for 10 + years! I would acquire one thing other than a Linksys in the future.

Solid connectivity, straightforward to set up, supported by DD-WRT, slick looking. Linksys - it's a shame that such a great router is crippled by the factory firmware. It's wall-mountable - put the power and Ethernet connections on the bottom, not the leading. Purchased two of these only to uncover out I required a router and a bridge router. Then a friend turned me on to DD-WRT. Soon after a day of analysis (including all the horror stories) I flashed one of them with their firmware. Now I have a beautifully function n-band bridge router for ๠. If you use their firmware send 'em some dollars - they've earned it.Yeah, the range for internal-antenna five GHz devices is not great, but I knew that going in. I needed n-band 5 GHz wireless to support my new blu-ray player and my new laptop supports the very same protocol so it created sense to get these routers. Are they excellent? In all probability not, but I know this: I can stream Netflix and Pandora wirelessly across a pretty large home, and that's all I need to have so I'm content.

If you have utilized Linksys prior to, It is pretty fast acquiring it up and running. It also was able to handle my brother wireless printer with no any difficulties. The speed to my laptop was fairly quick I have had 2 of this model router and following a couple of months the wireless has gone down. Client software that is installed on the PC is annoying as well. Had been a Linksys user for years. Never had any troubles with the other two routers I owned (WRT models). Gonna attempt something diverse. So unhappy about this router that this is the first time that I have posted a review.

It looks good Worse range than my old WRT54GS with the tin foil Windsurfer antenna boosters. I have a feeling this is due to the lack of antennas so this factor just shoots a WiFi signal in all directions (the reception in the middle of street is possibly fantastic!). The lack of antennas also prevents me from being able to redirect/boost the signal. Also, the thing won't work without having running software initially. Signal band is selectable but I knew that already so no egg deduction. I have heard bad things about Linksys given that they were purchased out by Cisco, now I think the hype. Think I'm going to try whatever router my next door neighbor has mainly because I get as strong a signal from his residence than I do this factor. This was supposed to be a N+ router which really should effortlessly cover the 2000 sq. ft. house I live in.

I get 80Mb/s downlink and over 100Mb/s uplink more than 5GHz. Near 800Mbps more than eithernet. The stock firmware can't deal with more than 1000 simultaneous lan to wan connections. However DD-Wrt is quite stable on this router.

Needless to say, based on others' critiques, this router is outstanding! Effortless to set up, which honestly I was searching forward to messing with it, and works like a charm on first attempt to connect. I purchased the Linksys Wireless N NIC as a package. Both of which seem to have been a superior investment as a result far! As for cons... if I had to list one thing it would be that the username password was changed from what I have been employed to. The user name is now blank and the pass is 'admin', so I inevitably had to refer to the instructions :( Thats it although.

It's N. It doesn't overheat and shutdown each couple of hours like most of the other 802.11n routers I've installed (including competitors and earlier linksys N's) This is a con of N units BY ALL Producers, and I've tried them all. I have but to find an 802.11n router with the similar range as the two 802.11g linksys routers I got 3 or 4 years ago. I can get promised N-speed with the unit 1-10 feet away, then speed begins to roll off. Even with linksys n client cards I can't pull much more than G-speeds through about 15 feet of *air*, and this is typicall of ALL the n-routers I've tried. commonly, through the floor + 50 feet, I can get 4 bars on the G-routers, and generally have 3 (occasionally 2!) bars on the N.

Great router (flashed with DD-WRT), excellent performance so far and I haven't experienced any drop/loss of wireless signal. I read up on this router prior to I bought and when I saw that it was DD-WRT compatible (which was a breeze) I couldn't pass it up (go it as a shell-shocker at แ.99). Haven't come across something however...

-Gigabit wan portI lately upgraded to a higher tier of service with my cable organization and it needed that I recieve a new modem. The modem has a gigabit ethernet port to support the 60Mb/sec download speeds, but my old linkysys wrt54g just couldn't manage it due to it's 100Mb wan port. I plugged the WRT320n in and since I had already utilised the very same subnet prior to, all I had to do was configure my DNS, SSID, and security on the router. All of my devices (laptops/desktop/wireless printer/psp/ps3) connected without having a difficulty.I've uploaded about 15 gigs per day working with bit torrent and no issues there either. It didn't make me breakfast :( If your seeking for a gigabit router with wireless N... you will need to get this one.

-Runs flawlessly with the Tomato USB firmware (mod of vanilla Tomato, tomatousb.org)-Very good wireless and wired speeds, 2.four or five GHz-Inexpensive for wireless N + gigabit -Included Linksys firmware is not great (but not genuinely a con, just install Tomato USB)-Doesn't do simultaneous two.four and five GHz modes Most negative evaluations of Linksys routers are due to bad firmware. Install Tomato rather and it'll be rock solid. I've got this running in 5 GHz mode for wireless N and my old WRT54G attached to present wireless to two.four GHz and wireless G only devices.

looks wonderful and installed quickly. I couldn't get it to run quicker than 130 mbps. I have 4 computers in the home...two laptops and 2 desktops. One laptop connected very easily, 1 with a lot of trouble and I gave up on the desktops and hardwired them. I tried many N adaptors with little impact. My old netgear super G router runs circles around this one.
