Every thing. Mousewheel, button placement, everything is great. So easy to use and way better on a couch than a mouse! There are no cons. Acquire this item. Promptly. This fits perfectly to my hand. I had a corded Logitech trackball prior to that didn't have a scrollwheel, so I'm really glad this has one particular. Wireless is excellent, functions perfectly.

This mouse fits perfectly into your hand and the big trackball permits for comfy, quickly movements. The thumb "left" click and the "back" button (also controlled by the thumb) are in the best position for ease of use and are not complicated to get utilised to. I do a lot of Photoshop work and the precision and manage I can get from this trackball is why I love it so much. Scroll wheel is just an added advantage! Have been working with this mouse for several, quite a few years and I wouldn't trade it for any other sort. The "thumb" trackballs left me with a spastic thumb (couldn't take care of the pressure of the ball) and smaller trackballs are just as well awkward. Adore this model and I will get yet another one if it ever dies. Not numerous- have to retain it clean, but that's with any trackball considering that the dirt from your hands is going to go to the contacts underneath the ball. If it's getting dirty a lot - you need to have to wash your hands more generally. In no way had a challenge with that or the enter important going undesirable. As an additional reviewer said, no 1 is going to sit at your desk and be capable to just use the mouse suitable off the bat - so it tends to maintain individuals off your computer system- which is fine by me (although it is quite hysterical to watch an individual who's employed to normal mice, try and navigate your computer system with this one).

Good Product! Functions excellent soon after 1-1ǘ yrs. No cons, smooth, correct, even nonetheless works right after i pretty much yanked the cord out of the sending unit. I locate it reputable and efficient for my laptop, and you can use anywhere, no flat surface necessary. Has all the added buttons and scroll wheel - which you often have to give up with track ball. 1. Trackball has been my answer to CTS as that was a actual difficulty. Tired of the discomfort. two. All the buttons and scroll wheel function nicely. Very good button click feel and extremely sensitive.3. Extremely straightforward and precise cursor control with the ball.four. Wireless - battery life is not an concern. 1. This is my second as I wore out my first one immediately after some two plus years. Nevertheless providing this 5 eggs and Logitech a different probability as the "left mouse button" is the initial to wear out (starts double clicking). It did on my final C/O TrackMan and because it was under warranty Logitech was super rapidly (can't emphasize that adequate) at getting me a replacement. Once again I hope they have tweaked the style on that left button.. Time will inform.two. No other complaints. Had been using an old trackball by M/S and it just didn't do the trick. My hand took some three days to conform to the new trackball as the shape is a bit far more crested the anything applied before. But after I became accustomed, smooth sailing. For the new to this ball, on a close to weekly basis pop out the ball and clean the 3 supports that the ball rests on.. just pop the ball from the hole on the bottom of the unit, also clean the ball itself. I rub it on my shirt. If the trackball cursor stops obeying commands I can say with 99.999% certainty that these dirty supports are the challenge. You would be shocked how substantially dirt and oil they pick up from the ball (meaning your hand). Just use a finger nail to loosen the gunk and blow it out. Voila, you're back in business. If there had been a better trackball on the marketplace, I'd obtain it. There isn't IMHO.

Operates with Vista. Solid and heavy. Tiny footprint. Can be placed virtually anywhere. Remains stationary rather than requiring lots of space for movement like a mouse. I personal three for all of my LAN gaming computer systems so that no one complains that I have unfair advantage through multi-player deathmatches. My oldest one particular is 4 years old and nevertheless works like a champ. Good tracking. Lots of programable buttons. Rapidly scroll wheel. Robust ball resists damage and scratches unless abused by newbs. Fast response time even right after a period of non use. Straightforward to setup, to clean and to use. Comfortable right after hours of game play or surfing the Interwebs. Very accurate targeting in FPS games. Greater than the 贄 gaming mouse it replaced. Index finger controls fast movements & scroll wheel to alter choices, and so on. even though the thumb fires weapons. Operates effectively with other wired and cordless mice (MX620 Laser mouse with 2.four GHZ -- 20 ft range-- USB receiver that I use at a distance with the media center). The heavy handed, Newbs and Old Dogs that can't discover new tricks or install computer software adequately ought to keep away from. Have to clean button and sensors usually to keep correct cursor movements. Who knew the finger could get so dirty? Ball can fall out effortlessly and roll across the floor if the children or cat knocks it off the desk (it's in no way my fault ;) ). Glued on rubber cushions don't keep on and are very easily lost. Max range is about 8 feet. Still sort of costly. Ball may well dent if dropped onto a hard floor creating for less than smooth movements. I've smoothed slight dents by forcefully rolling the dented place on a tricky surface. Scratches may possibly prove to be problematic. Battery life could be better. Great addition to any desk top rated. Has a really extended and dependable track record. Far more comfy than a common mouse. Employing the scroll wheel rather than clicking on the arrow buttons and dragging sliders on long documents improves battery life. Have additional AA's on hand. Eats gaming mice and game controllers for breakfast!!! Smooth as silk, adjustible speeds and accurate cursor movements with lots of programable buttons. From tiny circular movements to intense diagonal shifts this is a must have for any severe gamer, webaholic, business individual, or artist.

Solid craftsmanship, good battery life, comfortable. I also discovered that a lot of the previously mentioned concerns are valid - the left click button is stiff in comparison to the other buttons on the mouse, and the scroll wheel is a bit far also the left. I would also add that I have but to get the trackball to align to a accurate "up" orientation - no matter how difficult I attempt, the pointer usually drifts left as I scroll the cursor up. The satin finish on the dark plastic is peeling off. It's not limited to any single location, but rather anywhere exactly where my hand rests throughout standard use. It's not a deal breaker, but it is somewhat annoying.

Fairly comfortable. It didn't take me but a day to get used to the trackball's place as opposed to my common mouse. Wireless connectivity has not failed me yet. Range appears to be about 10' on included alkaline batteries. Orientation computer software to re-orient the mouse to exactly where you feel "up" really should be. Left-click is a bit stiff. Proper-click is a bit too simple. Scroll up and down buttons by the scroll wheel are useless. I discover the lock button useless. I reversed the forward/back buttons due to my thumb placement. Left-click/right-click buttons can\'t be changed. The sofware functions properly. I didn't install the bundled SetPoint v.6, due to the fact I already had SetPoint v.three.3 installed with my wireless desktop s510. It accepted the trackball with no any configuration. I don't want the added range on the wireless considering that I use this on my desk, but enjoy the freedom to move the trackball to my lap and move away for a handful of minutes for higher mouse activity moments. The three buttons close to the scroll wheel are useless, but at least they're out of the way sufficient that I don't hit them. I disabled them in computer software just to be safe. The ball was a bit stiff for the 1st 15-20 minutes or so, but it loosened up as my hand oils lubed it. Right here's hoping to lengthy battery life!

It's not a mouse. Wireless connectivity not a problem for us, even though we didn't push its limits. Ball is not quite big adequate. Shape encourages bent wrist, which leads to carpal tunnel. Most appalling to me, is that the left mouse button (the one you use for just about almost everything) became spongy and stopped working after about a year of use.

Feels fantastic in the hand. I like the forward and back buttons and the scroll buttons. Wireless will allow me to use it wherever I want as it has excellent range. I also have very restricted area on my desk so the mouse staying stationary is a massive enable. The scroll wheel is a tiny jumpy after employing an Apple Mighty mouse which has a super smooth scroll ball. The left click is a tiny odd to get utilised to but absolutely not a deal killer. For an individual switching to a trackball from a standard mouse it requires a little while to get utilised to it. Following about a week however I was just as efficient with this item as with any other mouse. I assume it is a excellent item and would suggest it strongly

It's Logitech, it's a trackball, it's sized just appropriate for most typical sized hand. It's a bit of a challenge for those of us who have bigger hands. I dare say that the LMB demands to be slightly additional forward in relation to exactly where the trackball is. As it stands now, my hand is in fact off center by about 20 degrees to get it to fit adequately (which defeats the natural curve of the device). I've been using a Logitech Trackman Marble FX for more than ten years. If Logitech ever came out with a new version of that Trackball, I'd acquire 20 of them and in no way have to be concerned about about one more input device once again.

I truly really like this mouse, if you have employed a trackball and thought it was clumsy but like to have the feeling in your wrist at the finish of the day give this a shot. straight forward plug n play, no driver required in Vista64 ult not certain if the method just has a calibrated driver or just that I calibrated my self within about two hrs I was playing all the games RPG, method and net design, surfing the internet ext. Totally the finest input device ever! I have significant hands and my wife has truly small ones each of us really like the solid feeling its wireless, it by no means moves, would have liked a stranded USB wired version no batteries original included batteries have so far lasted 6mo. I like the feeling and total functionality so considerably I am acquiring 1 for the office, out of my own pocket.

Cordless, lots of programmable buttons, fits my major hand perfectly, extremely comfortable Speak to points get dirty rapidly, cost as well high (but worth just about every penny in my opinion) I totally really like this trackball! I enjoy it so significantly that I use it at operate, property and on the road. I am a Style Engineer and use this along with a Space Navigator, a excellent combo! My wrist was in agony ahead of I located this device. I'll admit that the ergonomics took a couple of days to get use to and prob isn't for absolutely everyone. I've had mine at operate for over 4 years and the only challenge I've ever had, which isn't even considerably of one particular, is that the 3 make contact with points for the ball get gunked up rather swiftly.

1. Very comfy hand positioningtwo. Superb trackball gliding or rolling3. Battery Life is great so far but haven't owned it that long but I am on a computer system the majority of my day. Just being picky...Logitech's Marble Mouse trackball positioning appears just a little additional comfrotable than this 1 but the distinction is slight I use Autocad all day so I place a lot of use on my trackball, if I had to redesign this mouse I'd put the mouse wheel a little bit greater on the mouse, possibly exactly where the cruise up button is...it just appears like my pointer finger rests right above it and it may possibly make my hand cramp a tiny much less for the duration of continual zooms

This is by far the ideal trackball/mouse I've utilised. I replacing my old one immediately after 4+ years with the similar factor. I'm a draftsman, treackballs are excellent, I've used much more than a couple of, The Explorer is not negative, but costly. This is much better, fits just appropriate in you appropriate hand, thumb rests more than 3 buttons all programable, my index & middle finger move the ball and ring, index also controls the scroll and three other buttons if you need them. I also have a MX900 mouse which has a related button configuration, and the trackball is my alternative. I would favor a cord as to replaceing battries as I leave it on the desk. Right after a lot more that four years I replaced it with the very same thing, that says how substantially I like it.

Really like the ergonomics of it, straightforward to use as soon as you get utilized to it. I was preparing on getting this track ball for home use, but i was in a position to get my function to get me 1 for office use very first...so i figured i'd try it ahead of i paid any of my personal dollars for it.Glad i waited!I like the layout, the battery life is fine...but it just gums up consistently! At -least- as soon as or twice a day i have to pull the ball out and clean the contacts. I would say i shed an typical quantity of skin--i don't have psoriasis or anything weird like that. I've never ever had this dilemma on any other track ball.... I don't even get a pile of junk at the bottom of the mouse! It just pulls the dead skin off my fingers and deposits it directly onto the ball contacts till the buildup stops the ball from moving!I just don't know what else to say, except i'm glad i didn't invest โ of my own dollars for this dilemma! WHY!? WHY MICROSOFT?!? WHY WON'T YOU BRING BACK YOUR TRACKBALL EXPLORERS?!?:cries:

For me, this was the very best alternative for wireless trackball. Complaints about ergonomics are subjective. I am able to use any mixture of index, middle, and ring finger to manage the tracking. Right click is the similar finger as a regular mouse. Left click with your thumb is effortless to adjust to. Scroll is on your index, which makes additional sense than in amongst the proper and left buttons? Becoming cordless tends to make it simpler to reposition to whatever is comfy throughout the day. The added buttons are nice if you get into it. It's truly additional like 8 buttons if you count that the scroll wheel clicks and you can re-map the lock button.I had really serious pain in my elbow and hand numbness from normal mouse activity. Switching to this setup cured it. Possibly I'm a rapidly learner, but it only took me a day or two to be much more effective with the trackball than a typical mouse. Operates on any surface, generally accurage, and much more operating off the edge of the mouse pad! Minor flakiness when connecting, but commonly it's simply because 1) the battery is low, or 2) I was switching through a KVM. Hard to ding the mouse for that. There was also issue with Logitech's drivers on a Mac that didn't play nice with Growl, but that all worked out. I can't don\'t forget how but it wasn't that substantially of a hassle. There does tend to be some cruft on the ball contacts as soon as in a even though, which can make the ball harder to move. It has under no circumstances stopped the tracking, and I only have to clean it every handful of months. The cruft by no means causes inaccuracy like on an older mouse with the ball inside. Also bad there's not a left handed version? Has a side benefit of keeping folks from trying to drive while they are at your personal computer. They push it about on the desk like it's a giant cordless mouse, wig out when absolutely nothing occurs, discover the trackball, do a couple wobbly laps around whatever they're trying to point at, get all flustered by the thumb proper click, and give up. Excellent instances. Also, I adore the individuals who take away evaluation points simply because they aren't utilized to working with a trackball. Duh. That's like going to a Chinese restaurant, and giving it a poor assessment since you couldn't get a cheese burger.

-nice design and color-more buttons and adjustable-effortless installation-looks like this would be the simplest to use than some of the other trackball mouses out there -takes some receiving used to (still not used to it yet, just had it for a couple of hours)-buttons and mouse movement type of stiff (for now, mainly because it's new)-bulky-I have no need for the cordless feature, which would mean either stocking up on batteries or acquiring rechargeable ones-mouse-wheel-scroll-thing a tiny as well modest for my liking-would have preferred it if there was a media button for skipping sounds or pausing, and so on. rather of the lock button-lock button just highlights issues for you and keeps it highlighted so you don't have to continue clicking the left button, you can just click that as soon as (waste of space to me, and from time to time i accidentally click it) At most, the mouse is about 7inches extended and about 4inches wide, so I would not advise this mouse to somebody who does not have space to fit it. Nor would I advise this for those with small hands.Great as a casual gaming mouse; absolutely nothing too fancy and not also pricey.

Exactly what I was looking for in button placement. Also will allow remapping of the buttons. It says you shouldn't use rechargeable batteries, and when I did it acted erratically. The left mouse button didn't accept me pushing down on the front of the button I have to push on the back witch is awkward. However I just remapped the left click to the forward button witch I never ever use and it operates fine. Doesn't generally send actions in the order I execute them. For example if I scroll then hit the left mouse button, it may well approach the left mouse click very first, largly unnoticable even though. It only comes in wireless, I would much choose a wire to save on batteries, and hopefully get a small much more stability. However it's the only optical mouse in the style you can get.

The Only Trackball on the market (that I know of) with a Mouse-wheel. Immediately after 5 years of use. Completely NONE! Confident I would like a lower price, who wouldn't. But, the TrackMan is worth every single dollar spent. I started employing trackballs in college (late 90's) and by no means went back to mice. As an AutoCAD drafter I rely on working with a mouse-wheel to promptly zoom in and out of regions. I searched and searched and I only located Logitech's TrackMan, to give me all the capabilities I will need. after 5 years, I bought a second one particular. I take the older one particular out to the field with me on my laptop (I do Land Surveying). the new one particular is for my home WoW personal computer.
