Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury FPS Gaming Mouse
Cons:- Problems tracking at higher DPI- Polling rate of 1000 (over 500) slightly worsens tracking problems- Loud middle mouse click- Middle mouse button requires too much force

Pros:- Good software make mouse easy to configure- Other than issues with middle mouse button, buttons work well- Material feels good in the hand
Comment:
When I first got this mouse I found that it tracked very poorly. I tried five different materials to track on, and although some were better than others I found that the mouse always tracked poorly. The main problem was that the mouse would jitter, even when not moving the mouse. I eventually found out that setting the DPI to 1600 instead of 2000 fixed this problem. Hopefully this will be fixed in a firmware update, but I suspect this due to the cheap sensor used in this mouse. The sensor used in the G402 is the same one from the G100S.I found that setting the polling rate to 500 instead of 1000 also improved tracking problems (although to a lesser extent), so in the end I'm using 1600 DPI with a polling rate of 500. With these settings the mouse tracks fairly well, but I'm disappointed that I had to spend so much time to determine this. I'm also disappointed that setting the DPI and polling rate higher simply does not work for me at all even on five different surfaces (surfaces that my old MX518 tracked on fine). The middle button needs too much pressure to actuate and when it does there's a overly loud click. I also hope this is improved in future iterations of this mouse.Moving on to the positive aspects of this mouse, I found the design comfortable in my hand, I like the feeling of the material, and the other buttons all work well. The software allows you to configure just about anything you want from remapping any button, adjusting the polling rate and DPI, and even adjusting how the lighting appear. The software works well.Even with the cheap sensor on the G402 you have to track very quickly for it to lose tracking with the "fusion engine" disabled. I should have just bought the G502, as I would probably have enjoyed its better sensor.
