Cons:Not as agile as the G3 was, but you get used to it within a day.

Pros:Great mouse, good handling, would buy again.

I would buy it again, but make sure to price match. The handling is good and it has the extra thumb button.

Pros:Accurate Looks niceConveniet adjustable DPI
Comment:
This mouse is great. Gaming is much easier now but it does require a bit of tweaking and some getting use to. Some people don't like the rough texture on the mouse but I personally don't mind it. A closer look at it you will notice this mouse is very simple. It comes with a forward and back key and a increase and decrease dpi button. Overall this mouse is great and I do not regret buying it.

Cons:the laser

Pros:Custom weights, easy to use software,
Comment:
For the first month or so i loved this mouse, but lately i am realising in game(counter-strike) that anytime you lift the mouse up off the mouse pad even the slightest, it wont read it.This became a factor because i use a low sensitivity and a large mouse pad and for turning 180', i use to flick my wrist(w/ mx510), when i do this with my g5 it doesn't read it.So depending on your style of play this mouse may not be for you.

This is a very comfortable gaming mouse for right-handed users. I find blue/water design kind of weird but that's just my opinion. Great performance.

Cons:I have 1st gen it could use another button on the side which they added on the v2

Pros:Awesome features and every button programmable.
Comment:
The mouse overall is just a plain old awesome mouse. I first upgraded this mouse awhile back from and old trackball to the G5. My friend told me he used this mouse and to try it out. At the time I played Urban terror a quake 3 mod that is now stand alone. The second I got this mouse I thought it was awesome. It didn't take long and I had everything programmed on it. Its nice that you can have 3 preset options with mouse speed. Also my hand never gets sore using this mouse. I've had some VERY long gaming sessions some days and this mouse which is almost 2 years old now has yet to fail me and my hand never gets sore. All I can say is I don't think I'll ever use another mouse other then a G5 again.

Cons:Slippery

Pros:Light, cool design, 2 side buttons.
Comment:
To be honest with you guys I would not buy this mouse again. It's not BAD but it was just awkward to use for me. Too slippery, and I didn't like the feel of it at all. I have big hands and I was a bit too cramped. I'll give 3 stars because I'm very picky about my mice.

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:Scroll-wheel clicking tricky

Pros:ComfortableAccurateSmoothWeight adjustable
Comment:
I bought this to a replace a MX510 mouse that crapped out on me. In the interim I was using a cheap Logitech mouse and I didn't like how sharply it sloped down. Now that I'm using a G5, I kinda wish it was a little shorter. The scroll-wheel in particular seems to jut upwards too much - I wish it was deeper in, following more closely to the upper contour of the of the surface. It's also a bit tricky when trying to middle click. 1/10 times I would say it doesn't take. The overall feel and performance is the same as the MX510. The weight is just right, though you can add weight to it - that's a pretty cool feature.Edit: the scroll wheel now makes an annoying squeak when I use it. Gonna try to exchange this thing.Edit #2: NCIX replaced it as it was within 30 days. The scroll wheel was defective. It was unusually loud when scrolling and squeaked. Comment:
In the past 5 years, I have bought - hm - 7 G5's or so. I just LOVE this mouse. The G5 is the best money can buy - end of story. The mouse feels amazing in my hands. The custom weights are nice too. Logitech has probably the best customer service for their products. GET THIS!

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:None that I can think of.

Pros:- very good quality- comfortable in my hand- nice extra features including adjustable weight and sensitivity
Comment:
This is one of the best mice I've ever had. I can feel the difference right after I opened the box. The buttons feel solid, the grip is designed to anti-slip, and the USB cord is sleeved. I don't think I'll need the adjustable weight but it's a nice extra feature. Overall this is a very nice input device.

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:I haven't opened it yet (See later) but I already have a MX518 and this is the same design (two thumbs button ,right handed) and so far no problem with my 518

Pros:Special surprise price was just too much not to buy this ! (40$)I prefer this new V2 look over the precedent one and it has a forward button now !
Comment:
I did not buy it because I needed a mouse but because of the price ! I knew someday I will have another computer and I'll be damned happy to have a brand new mouse to go along with it or if my MX518 fails

Cons:Rough texture will take some getting used to.

Pros:Great weight, and feel. Fast, smooth, and accurate.
Comment:
I have been waiting to purchase this mouse for some time as a replacement for my mx510. I've always liked the feel and sensitivity of the mx510, and my particular copy has been going strong for nearly 5 years now.The G5 seemed to be a perfect replacement for the 510 as it is the same size (perfect if you have big hands), and has higher sensitivity. The texture on the G5 is rough, which takes some getting used to, but I think I like it better than my (now) ultra smooth 510. The sensitivity of the G5 is very high and makes for a mouse which has very smooth movements in both games and Windows, and the added feature of adjustable weights means you can balance the mouse to your taste perfectly. All in all a great mouse. If you need a highly accurate, and sensitive wired mouse with the unique feature of adjustable weights, you can't go wrong with the G5.Great buy when on sale.

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:None so far

Pros:Really accurate, nice cable sleeving, nice textured palm, on the fly sensitivity adjustment
Comment:
I finally had to admit that a track ball wasn't good enough once I started playing TF2 so I bought this to help me out. Local prices were almost double what NCIX was selling this for so I order one. So far it is a bit of a learning curve moving from a tackball to a mouse for FPS (trackballs are still MUCH faster act moving, just not as accurate for aiming). Great sleeved cable and nice feature for adding weights to the mouse to customize the feel. No need to use the blotware software either since you can switch the sensitivity on the fly using the button on the mouse. I didn't want a wireless mouse since I am try to improve my aim and introducing lag from a wireless signal would not be a good idea. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-23-09 06:55 PM

An overall great mouse. I've had the first gen mouse for about a year (and have tried the nice blue one as well) and its been great. It contours great for my hand and hasn't failed me once. Overall a great alternative for the more expensive g9.

This is way much better compared to G9 if you have gig hands. You can program all buttons using Setpoint software. My problem is the price... even though it is only an upgrade of the original G5, it is still quite expensive.

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:N/A

Pros:Weight Adjustable, Laser, Texture of Mouse is Perfect, Cord doesn't coil up, versatile scrolling.
Comment:
Great mouse, the texture gives it comfort but control and reduces any sticky-ness or slips as opose to the MX518's glossy texture. The cord isn't like regular cords, it doesn't coil up or snag at all. Very comfortable for right handers, features are incredible. Weight adjustable, for FPS gaming, a definite great buy. Would recommend for any FPS players.

Comment:
this is a big mouse for at least my handson the fly dpi changing and the weights are nice featuresand 2000dpi is too fast unless you play on a 24 inch screen or bigger and need to move your mouse fast and the way the mouse is shaped in my opinion I got tired of when gaming

Cons:None really, but the weight system is something. Have to be well adjusted to maximise your performance.

Pros:Price 29.99 $$$. The weights system is really effective. This feature impress me a lot now because i tought at first glace that's only a gadget to help in marketing the mouse. The colors and patern is cool too! Configurable side buttons is an other cool addition.
Comment:
Great mouse for gaming no dought about it. Precise targeting and pointing. The cable has a military look and texture. Great value even at regular price. That's the best mouse i have.

Logitech G5 Wired Laser Mouse - Bilingual
Cons:bad tracking

Pros:Good shapeweight system is nicegood quality wire sleevingnow with two side buttons
Comment:
I've always bought logitech mice and this one isn't any different when it comes to quality. At first I had a good old mx500 and when it finaly died, I decided to upgrade to the new mx510. It was really good too but after a while the wires inside the usb wire shorted at the sport it entered the mouse and made a big kink. I called logitech and I received a free replacement within a few weeks, great service ! But now it's been 4 years and I went throught 2 mx510 and 2 mx518, it was getting annoying... When I first saw the G5 I thought maybe it wouldn't have the same problem as the wire sleeving seemed different, but the fact that it only had one side button made me stay with my mx518. But now that the rev2 is out, with two side buttons, I managed to get it while one sale for a good price :DAt first I didn't like the texture, I thought it would be like high quality rubbery stuff but it seemed more like cheap plastic. After some time using it, I think the imperfections wore out and now the texture is nice. My big deception though is with the laser engine. I knew first gen had crappy tracking but everyone told me it was gone with todays mice, I guess it isn't the case with this model...When I play fps games and I try to make sudden fast movements, we can clearly see the mouse can't follow as I'll suddenly look up at the sky instead of turning to the left. Such behavior doesn't occur very often but it's still very annoying when it does.

Cons:-It took me a couple days to get used to, but that goes for all gaming mice.

Pros:-Very comfortable grip-Lots of programmable options and buttons-Weights add precision and accuracy to laser pointer-Non-tangle and durable cord-Sensitivity changing is a very nice option. I use lower DPI when doing digital art in Photoshop.
Comment:
THE perfect gaming mouse for me. If you can believe it, I was using a standard Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse for 3 years! I was finally able to retire her and say hello to the G5 Rev-2.I don't think I had any problems with my older mouse, but there is no way I can go back to it now. This mouse is a must for all gamers, especially those who mostly play first-person shooters. I will definitely buy another in the future. Thanks NCIX!

Comment:
Purchased this mouse after my G3's cord got ripped in half. Very nice mouse, smooth movements as it was with my old mouse. It's large, which is good for people with large hands like myself. The weight cartridge is awesome for people who don't want light mice. I smacked in as much weight as I could in there and I loved it.
