- The mouse wheel, I can't believe I've lived without this variety of scrolling for so lengthy, incremental scrolling is so 1980's!- As soon as set point is installed, I enjoy getting in a position to adjust the 5 pre-set increments for dpi, as well as jacking the polling rate to 1000.- Just as comfortable as my old G5, plus far more buttons, more hassle-free dpi adjustment, better dpi and polling rate. It could be less expensive, but that could be mentioned for alot of worthwhile products. Fantastic gaming mouse, good revision of the already good G5.

this mouse has a great feel to it, the nylon on the cable is not as tightly nit as its predecessor which bent and was a major fail. the adjustable wheight is a good bonus to get comfy, especially when playing games. the infinite scroll I located really practical when reviewing documents that are dozens of pages long. the only con I can consider of is the scroll, when slowly scrolling down a page it goes a click to far or goes back, which is quite annoying. but I can reside with it. I sent the rebate about a week after the purchase and got the examine in the mail. 60 dollar product lowered to 40! logitech has my vote.

Looks and tracks fantastic, I like the finish and the reality that you can weight it down with the included weights. I like a nice heavy mouse. As other evaluations have stated, some of these mice emit a very high frequency noise regularly. I tired this on each my home and perform Computer. Weird issue is, it's slightly noticeable on my residence Pc - on my operate Pc it's substantially far more noticeable. Either way, it's as well annoying to continue working with. Also, this little sucker, more than the course of a week, would emit a great small static discharge from the mouse wheel. My old logitech G5 never zapped me as soon as, more than the course of three years. This mouse also runs warm to the touch. I'm returning this mouse and using my old G5 until I can uncover some thing greater. I generally enjoy Logitech items but this is a let down. Naturally persons reviewing this mouse negatively are the minority, so it appears like a smaller percentage of these coming off the assembly line are defective. Negative luck for me I guess, but I'm moving on to yet another mouse.

Really smooth! Added weights are quite good. Cable is stiff but produced to final. On the fly sensitivity plus 3 buttons on the side work quite well for gaming. Center wheel turns way to simple. If you want a lot more buttons get a unique mouse.

A lot of Programmable buttons you can use although gaming. Can set custom Dpi settings effortlessly. Fits in hand nicely. the side buttons are a bit too close together, so i only normally use one of them with games. i'd like it if the mouse was just a little wider to fit my hand superior.

Very smooth movement, enjoy the different dpi settings. Its always a blast to turn it all the way up ahead of the wife gets on. Immediately after gaming for any duration and palms get to that pre-sweaty phase, the grips can feel slippery at times. Largely felt on the thumb grip. This did not happen with the older version/ Excellent mouse, most probably will acquire another for the subsequent build.

1: feels pretty much identical to the mx518 (near great mouse), really comparable shapetwo: adjustable weight3: very cool wheel that can be set to spin as quickly as you can roll it or spin with tiny clicky movements like most scroll wheels4: a number of programmable and useful buttonsfive: cool appearance with no getting obnoxious and as well "gamer.Ś: high DPI, high overall performance, operates fantastic the thumb buttons are just a small much less properly-positioned than the mx518. Perhaps this is merely something to get utilised to and nothing to be concerned about. The mx518 is the highest rated mouse fairly significantly ever and just about absolutely everyone owns one or knows a individual with one particular. I owned mine for more than five years prior to replacing it with this G500. I do call it an upgrade.

This mouse feels excellent in my hand. I have not added any further weight nor completed a lot of programming, but I'll get into that soon. The DPI adjusts nicely to what I want when I will need differing speeds. I would advocate this. None I wished I had paid focus when acquiring that the ฤ rebate lasted only till April 13, but that is my fault for playing more than reading. I use this with an Ideazon Zboard with GW Factions keyset and a Ideazon Fang. Tends to make for a leathal combination.

- Capability to adjust weight - Solid corded mouse, with a lot of length to run behind desk and down to comp- Comfortable grip- Good really feel to wheel - Two buttons close to the left click are in an awkward position for me, not quite usable for rapid clicking Macros took me a little bit to figure out lol, but they are really good to have. Button ahead of the wheel to control the feel is valuable, but I identified if it was on the "free flowing" setting, web pages would move on their own, so wasn't much of a choice for me.I knew the button setup when I purchased it, but nevertheless wish it had 1 or 2 more thumb buttons because the two near the left click are positioned a bit odd. Having on the fly dpi adjustment would be good for some gamers, but I don't use it....I changed the dpi improve/decrease buttons to be in a position to use for other stuff. Overall, for the price tag it was worth it although if my aim was strictly gaming (especially MMO) I would obtain one thing different next time.

It's accurate enough for me. I Don't use it @ 5700 dpi. Affordable when I got it. Super Scroll is not beneficial throughout gaming. But when I will need to view a long page I'm pleased that it had that feature. The one particular Newegg sent me died within a month. When playing Team Fortress two, it would randomly stop and lag the game momentarily. Then it quit all together. Went to Logitech Tech help who graciously gave me a replacement unit. Here's hoping. The probable cause of my mouse failure is repeated tangling of the braided cord and bringing it everywhere I go.So don't mess around with the cord, leave the mouse exactly where it's necessary.

General feel of mouse is wonderful. Customizable weight is nice, texture is comfortable. Toggle-able scroll wheel is nifty. Two of these mice had been defective when received. Soon after moving the mouse speedily the cursor would wiggle, or jitter, in about a 1" radius on the screen. Not terribly practical for gaming. I've owned two MX518's for about 6 years and they have operated flawlessly (still do). Going back to that.newegg is fantastic as constantly, supplied RMA's for each tries.

It's logitech - they have been my main selection in peripherals for more than a decade. The scroll feature operates far better than I thought it would - the button that alternates amongst conventional scrolling and free scrolling is easy and does not get in the way. The braided cords are usually nice. You can map the sensitivity buttons to generic actions but I did not get a likelihood to test to see which games make use of that function. I play FPS games at extremely low sensitivity for greater accuracy and I definitely HAD to return this mouse as it did not suit my gaming style for two extremely important reasons.1. The mouse tracks even when lifted about an inch off the surface. If are moving your mouse to the appropriate and reach the edge of the mouse pad, lift up to move the mouse back to the left so you can continue that movement to the appropriate, then you have a challenge mainly because as you lift the mouse and commence moving to the left the mouse is still tracking!! I initial noticed this even though playing Guild Wars as you hold proper-click to change the camera perspective. Whenever I lifted the mouse the camera was moving in the incorrect direction!two. The mouse wheel rattles if you move the mouse rapidly - which is a different annoyance if you want to do a 180 degree turn when an individual is sneaking up on you in battefield poor firm two. This concern seems to be a massive oversight.Mainly because of those two troubles I merely had to ship the mouse back. This isn't necessarily a con - if you like Logitech's age old MX518 ergonomic grip, you will adore the G500; I thought I would since I loved my MX518. However, I've grown a lot more accustomed to the Razer Death Adder. Now, the logitech style makes my pinky really feel like it has nowhere to go.

Solid. Efficient. Looks fantastic. Does what you want a gaming mouse to do. The on-the-fly dpi adjustment is Awesome for shooters. The weights are a great touch too, I employed all of the heavy ones although. Cable is a good braided material. Some buttons don't map to applications. I just assign those buttons keystrokes in the mouse software program, and then assign those keystrokes to commands in games.

I enjoy this mouse very considerably. The first gaming mouse I really purchased that was wired. I had previously a wireless mouse for gaming. Within a year and a half that mouse died. Then I had another wireless 1, it died roughly about the exact same time. I am hoping simply because this mouse is meant for gaming, it might be additional durable. I won't know till a couple of years later. The cord is nylon, appears sort of sensitive. I adore the added weights. I like my mouses heavy with high sensitivity. This makes it where I barely have to move the mouse for it to move across the screen. I like the adjustable DPI and 8 other mouse buttons. Extremely handy to have. Not really a con, but the mouse instructions don't help incredibly significantly. Other than that, i adore it!

Terrific feel, the weights add that perfect touch, the buttons are ideally located for ease of use- no awkward thumb reaching, lengthy and tall adequate to be comfy for bigger handed people. cheap, loose feel to the wheel (only). As I open the box, the weight holder fell out. My first thought was, "they sold me a refurb as a new item". Before I even plugged it in I noticed too a lot left to suitable play in the scroll wheel. You can hear the plastic pieces 'engaging' as you tinker with the wheel; there's no way this'll hold up for much more than a month. My 1st RMA request from NE ever.

This mouse is comfortable, glides quite smoothly, and has plenty of ability to customize for every program/person. The create good quality is pretty solid. I believe the original G5 was built with a small additional top quality than this, but the original was a tank that could take a beating. Surely no reason to remove an egg. NewEgg is the very best as far as consumer service and ship time. No surprise there.

Smooth, Tons of capabilities, Controllable DPI, Macro's Can't macro a DPI transform I wasn't positive I wanted to go back to a corded mouse, but I'm glad I did. It's silky smooth and has loads of characteristics. The customizable weights are nice and the button clicks are defined. Unlock-able scroll wheel is new new should for me. The only down side I've discovered about the mouse so far is that I can't adjust the DPI settings within a macro. I wanted to lower DPI when holding appropriate click but I have yet to find a way to do so.

The capability to adjust nearly almost everything is excellent. You can make it heavier or lighter, transform the dpi on the fly, and adjust your scroll wheel from the buttons. Awesome! From the computer software, you can adjust what the buttons execute and set profiles for numerous games or programs for your own ease of use. It is perfect for significant hands and lengthy periods of use. None! The color looks excellent. It is straightforward to see the setting from the vibrant red LED letting you know what the setting is at present and the USB cord is covered in a braided cloth material to seriously set it apart.
