Logitech V470 Mobile Mouse

no usb dongle, tiny carrying bag Like most Bluetooth products I've utilized, this mouse has incredibly poor range compared to non-Bluetooth wireless mice. Bandwidth and resolution drop off significantly about five feet. If you use it on your knee or a human physique is interposed between the mouse and the receiver then divide this by about two. If the signal is weak you also have to repair the mouse occasionally. While this is a 1-time concern, it ships in a practically indestructible clear plastic housing; you'll want robust hands and a sharp object, a skill saw, a laser, or some strong acid to open the container. With the cost of packing, driving, shipping, restocking fee it's hardly worth returning the product so I wouldn't advocate it unless your major use is on the desktop next to or above your laptop or computer. Compare this with the Logitech V220 which is cheaper, slightly smaller, similar in weight, only utilizes one particular battery, doesn't need to have to be paired, wakes up a lot additional swiftly, works fine on your knee, and has multiple occasions the range.

1 word: bluetooth. It functions wonderful if you have no connection difficulty or hardware failure. And it actually looks fairly with my newly purchased HP laptop (vista 64 bit, residence premium) as effectively. Bit smaller than typical mouse, my palm muscle can get strained occasionally. Overall not a huge issue compared with pros. I was so content now that the replacement from logitech really worked suitable out of box. The original one purchased from newegg has hardware difficulty: it would lose connection randomly and regularly, jumps around the screen. The funny thing was it worked fine for a couple of days then issue began to happen, causing me to believe it was due to me tweaking with the new HP laptop. So I fiddled with the mouse for about two weeks then finally gave up and referred to as logitech help. Called them three instances and every time got a different answer. The third guy asked for s/n on the mouse and said they can send in replacement or I can ask for RMA from newegg. Decided to ask logitech to send in replacement considering that I don't have to send back the faulty 1.I suspect the inventories newegg carries has some hardware problem. No convincing evidence, though I noticed the cost dropped ū immediately after my acquire, and now there is ฟ MIR.

I have been making use of Logitech items for a long time but this was my very first time buying their bluetooth mouse. I was surprised that this mouse is extremely effortless to setup, and also this I was extremely pleased that there is on/off button to turn the mouse on and off when it is not in utilised. Installation of the mouse incredibly effortless on my MAC BOOK that runs Windows XP SP3 and MAC OS. As soon as I ran the bluetooth detection settings. It found the mouse very fast. The mouse is extremely comfy to use, it is not too tiny and it is not too huge, The movement of the mouse is really precise and I am content with it. I can even use the mouse on my bed sheet and bed comforter surface. The mouse comes with two Duracel batteries! What a surprise, so I didn't have to look for batteries when it arrived. The value of the mouse is correct! It is under โ! What a deal!No a lot more cable! I am glad that I don't have to carry my cable mouse ever once more! I heard the battery life is not extremely excellent, but I am going to use rechargeable batteries and recharge the batteries at night. Overall, I am extremely content with this great mouse!

It installed rapidly without having any issues. No Dongle to be concerned about, so you save a USB port for other uses. Decent size for a Laptop mouse with a cool blue color that is in fact a small darker than the one particular Newegg is presently showing. Appears to move a small quicker than I am used to, even soon after adjusting it down. Mouse works nicely with the ASUS N10J-A2 Notebook which is Bluetooth capable.

Comment:
The mouse is desirable, and the finish is durable. Mine has gotten heavy use for the last eight months and it looks as good as the day I purchased it with the exception of the bottom which has a reasonable appearance given the reality that spends its life sliding around, primarily on my knee. The Bluetooth connection has only unpaired one particular time, the stock Microsoft drivers function fine and I've only had to reboot one time to resolve an concern with the mouse wheel no longer working even though worked fine for all of my other mice. The black travel bag which shipped with my mouse is properly-suited to the job and I'm specific that it has helped to keep my mouse searching as superior as new. I've dropped it dozens of occasions from off of my lap onto a carpeted floor and never ever experienced any difficulties from these mild shocks. Preserving the batteries has not been an concern since I got about six months out of the mouse, only turning it off occasionally for a few days at a time. I also own and rf mouse created by Logitech and I am considerably happier with it. Although Bluetooth skips the USB dongle since it's integrated with my laptop, and it may be a a lot more appropriate in an office environment with a lot of wireless equipment in close proximity, its efficiency is far inferior. This mouse is larger which is okay given my significant hands, but it is also heavier mainly to accommodate two batteries rather of 1. Really literally, the water in my fingers interferes with the signal sufficient that I generally locate myself lifting my fingers up from the sides of the mouse while I try to position the pointer. This takes place normally at a distance of only 3 to 4 feet from the laptop. The efficiency is noticeably worse at seven or 8 feet. At 15 to 20 feet it becomes almost unusable. This has happened in the number of environments, none of them with important amounts of metal or any interference other than the typical wi-fi equipment. The rf mouse I have functions flawlessly even 20 feet. I would not advocate purchasing this mouse if you intend to use it additional than a few feet away from your Bluetooth device. If you're employing a laptop make certain to preserve the lid open and upright because commonly the antenna runs alongside the screen and I locate it barely works if the screen is closed. While this mouse is durable and desirable, runs a reasonable amount of time among battery alterations, wakes up from a sleep in a reasonable amount of time, and pairs effectively with my laptop, its wireless performance begins to degrade at a extremely brief distance of only 3 feet. Although it is not a great deal a lot more pricey to operate two batteries than 1, I actually prefer the lighter weight of an RF mouse with only one battery. Logitech makes a very good, much less costly mouse which is nearly identical in shape and even has a slot to shop the USB adapter on the bottom which has the side benefit of turning the power on or off.

Little, lightweight, vanity bag for travel, no dongle needed. None that I can believe of. I use this mouse often with my MacBook with no any difficulties. Pairing was seamless, software allows for browsing functionalities within Safari, which are not accessible by default, and the blue color is sleek. Scrolling and mouse movement are easy to tune and incredibly smooth overall. Pointer is accurate and good for graphic style and photograph editing. Quite happy owner!

Easy set up. really smooth rapid tracking. Great ergonomics. Battery life is phenomenal. I mean I leave this mouse on all the time. The only thing about this mouse is that the right and left buttons failed prematurely on 1. Logitech's warranty help was not quite effortless to perform with so I replaced the buttons in my mouse and all is well. I was an EE in a prior lifetime. I have two of these mice now, and I'm questioning when the buttons will fail in the new one. You would feel for close to โ.00 you would get premium buttons. Oh effectively...Excellent factor I can fix them.

Size is great... any smaller and it would be uncomfortable. Fast and effortless connection. Nice looking. Carry bag and off switch are perfect for any actually portable laptop setup. None Takes two AA batteries (included) which I prefer over other rechargeable units - no charging base to lug around.

This mouse is actually, genuinely comfy to use. Its a little bit smaller than a normal desktop mouse, but not so little to make it awkward (like most laptop mice). And its bluetooth, so no want for those giant RF dongles. Those issues make wireless mice pointless for laptops, because you have to plug/unplug it each and every time you take your laptop out of the bag. It works fine in each Windows and Linux. When you don't use it for a although (like five-10 secs I think) it goes into sleep mode to save batteries, and then takes a split second to wake up when you move it again. Its a little annoying at first, but once you get used to it you barely notice anymore. The high arch is good for comfort, but bad for laptop bags. Generally make positive you have the flat side of the mouse towards the laptop so that it doesn't break the screen if you drop it or some thing. Also would have been good if they elevated the delay for sleep mode to about 20-30 secs. Even if your laptop doesn't have bluetooth, you can locate some particularly little dongles that are tiny sufficient to plug in and forget about (like I did).

Good response, smooth movement, smooth wheel scrolling. Tilt wheel is a plus. Forward/back on sites, subsequent/prev song on winamp from across the room, and so on.Wonderful for HTPC usage.I purchased this when I was fed up with a non-responsive mouse wheel on old mouse and comes with a nifty pouch. Bluetooth occasionally disconnects randomly. A simple reset of the bluetooth solves it, but it's annoying.Lags very a bit when my wireless net is under heavy usage Ɣ-five MB/s up and down combined). There was a slight jumpiness in initial response considering that the mouse turns itself off when not in use. However, this no longer is a challenge and I barely even notice it.Tracking is great for gaming, but I prefer a wired mouse more than wireless...

Bluetooth! Slick design! It fits perfectly in my hand.Left hand friendly. Pricey... But you have Bluetooth & Laser... :D I wanted a bluetooth mouse, due to the fact my MBP has only two USB slots and I want them both. I went for Logitech, due to the fact my 8 yo Logitech PSǘ mouse with a ball is still kicking!

I like that it is smaller than most mice and it has a power switch on the bottom for saving the batteries. My netbook starts and the mouse begins operation correct away with no getting to remind every other to see every single other each time. None Could most likely expense a bit much less, but you can nonetheless pay much more and get less.

Compact without having feeling cramped. Curvature feels ergonomic to the hand. Works reasonably properly on most opaque surfaces. Left-and-proper scroll wheel rocker is handy. Fairly sensitive; I have to turn the cursor tracking speed down when working with it. Accepts standard AA batteries. The battery compartment holds them in very snugly; they don't move around at all. Attractive price. That nice curvature does make it hard to store in a travel bag. The scroll wheel is a small wobbly and it's action isn't extremely tight. The buttons really feel ever so slightly mushy. As a entire, it has a "cheap really feel" and it rattles and creaks when handling it.Nevertheless, the most aggravating factor about it is its energy-saving behavior. It falls asleep/shuts of the laser inside two to 3 seconds of resting nonetheless. This causes the cursor to suddenly jump as the mouse wakes up when using it again. Soon after an extended period of rest, guessing about 10 minutes, it turns off its Bluetooth radio, disconnecting from the pc as if I had flipped the energy switch off. Reconnecting soon after this typically takes about five to ten seconds. To top it off, cursor movement feels laggy. There is a slight delay (maybe 50-100ms) in the cursor response time when employing this mouse. I can't speak on battery life, since I don't use it consistently sufficient to truly drain the batteries. I've owned it given that Q4 2008, and I've only changed them as soon as or twice.Mainly because I bought it so lengthy ago, mine has a slightly diverse (older) part number than the one Newegg is listing. Take my evaluation with a grain of salt because Logitech could have fixed some of these concerns with new revisions. It undoubtedly lacks when compared to a rather responsive Bluetooth mouse like the Apple Magic Mouse, but certainly outshines the positively sluggish Razer Pro|Click Mobile. I am not regretting purchasing the V470, but I would possibly pick some thing else if I had to do it once more.

I truly like the feel of this mouse. It hardly utilizes ANY battery.three click wheel mouse is good. I'm not certain if it's my bluetooth adapter or the mouse, but when I move my laptop away from the mouse and come back, it will not very easily re-connect. Its also very sluggish and mouse movement is delayed Sometimes. Once more, I'm not confident if it is my adapter (Zoom) or the mouse. But, my greatest complaint is in the material employed on the mouse. On the sides of the mouse, where your finger recommendations touch, the outer plastic layer more than the rubber has deteriorated and is pealing off the mouse. Now, I'm no sweaty palmed greasy computer system guy. I actually only use this mouse a few hours each and every day. I've had the mouse for pretty much a year. I paid more than โ for this, and I expect better top quality.

Nice and smooth. This mouse is way better than the ฤ value travel mouse I was using. The tracking on this is so a lot superior than any other optical mouse I've used prior to. By the way a lot of folks are complaining about the "out of sleep mode lag" In my opinion it is hardly noticeable compared to some other wireless mice (mouses) I've utilised. By the way all wireless mice have the infamous "sleep lag" so just bear in mind this factor does use batteries and not every person will turn their wireless mouse off everytime they are carried out utilizing it. Needs batteries. Maybe it could come in other colors, I believe it's funny that it's blue, and it's a bluetooth mouse. This mouse is excellent! I was thinking about receiving the Logitech Nano mouse rather for my laptop, but I didn't want to use one of my four precious usb slots.

Dependable and comfortable. Wanted some thing to carry with my netbook that wasn't bulky and could effortlessly slip in the carrying case. This is the first time I've utilised a cordless mouse and I like it. Have to alter battery. Not a challenge yet - I've had mine for over two months without have to alter it. I'm typically very good at turning it off at the finish of the day, but not usually.

This replaces a comparable Logitech bluetooth mouse that had problems following about 6 months. NewEgg to the rescue and they replaced it with this new model. It works wonderful and one factor in particular - the last model would continuously loose its connection when the laptop (MacBook) went to sleep. This 1 has hung in there 98% of the time. Incredibly pleased with it and NewEgg. None so far I was reluctant to try bluetooth again but I use my usb ports a lot so a transmitter isn't seriously an alternative.
