If your Netflixing for Huluing or just lazy and don't want to get up from your cozy egg, then this is for you. Plugged appropriate in my PS3 laptop and pc utilizing WIN 7 ult and homeprem. And its BLUETOOTH (comes with a bt dongle)!!! Very good signal. I Enjoy THIS EGG!!! Does feel a tiny low-cost for its value. I accidentally broke off the battery tab but it nonetheless holds in spot like a champ. The button placement is kind of off and the mouse is like employing a laptop with your thumb. NO Right CLICK or F keys. They need to of made the charger employing the usb, would of been much more effective. Does make a slight humming/buzz sound at occasions. Fits my demands perfectly in my excellent HTPC planet. Certainly you aren't going to use this to sort constantly, play games or finding you a drink. If you don't want to get up and stroll 3ft to press a button then by all implies THIS IS FOR YOU :)FYI - pairing is straightforward just gotta know how if you switch from pc to ps3 there is a switch inside where the dongle sleeps and on the dongle. Can be bothersome if you have to get up from the cozy egg.

Compact, easy to use, very handy to have for an HTPC Loses signal consistently, takes a bit to reestablish connection with the Pc, battery life is nowhere close to what Logitech advertises for it to have. Application is mediocre at greatest, gives no selections for customized button mapping and usually fails to commence correctly causing further concerns. Typically has issues where it does not register commands or gets stuck repeating a command so that it scrolls down a list more than and over yet again. Honestly, for the money I thought I would have gotten a small bit far better item from Logitech. Their application for this for Win7 64 has under no circumstances definitely worked nicely for me and their tech assistance is a lot more clueless than their user base half the time. The battery life sucks and it appears to lose the connection to the bluetooth adapter on the back of the Computer on a common basis and then will take anyplace from 30 seconds to numerous minutes to reestablish and determine it will commence operating again. And this is not triggered by it dropping from inactivity. You can literally be pressing a button typing one thing in and from one particular button push to the subsequent it drops connection and you have to wait for it. Honestly, I wish I had a superior choice to go with more than this as this issue is just more frustrations than it requirements to be for a simple remote. Logitech has dropped the ball on this in my opinion.

Great finish high quality. Back lights adds a nice touch. Keyboard feels good. Really compact. Frequently the unit will shed connection for a couple of seconds with the up and down d-pad buttons in media center mode. Locks up and then comes back again (sitting two feet away from the dongle). The computer software is horrible. With all the keys accessible they only enable a total of three keys to be user mapped and even these in a limited way. The custom mapped keys frequently and unpredictably don’t get applied back after a reboot. Sometimes they get remapped instantly on begin up, others instances you have to wait a couple of minutes, and other people they under no circumstances get remapped. They advertise this unit to the MCE user yet some keys don’t send the appropriate commands for it. For example, media skip forward/back doesn’t do anything on MCE. I had to hack SetPoint with uberOptions (a third celebration software program that tries to make up for the holes in Logitech’s application) to assign the appropriate MCE keys to it. Same for the media center launch button. They send a non normal command that behaves awkwardly as an alternative of the Win-Alt-Enter. The fore mentioned hack will fix this on the other hand. Touch pad with OK button in the middle is a undesirable thought. Pressing the button causes the mouse to move off the target. When in d-pad mode, it will not work if pressed on the edges, they say so in the directions, so you have to press it towards the middle where the select button also resides. This leads to undesirable selections particularly due to missing tactile positioning feedback. Swapping among the two modes (media center and mouse totally free) is as well tedious for how typically it’s required and switching amongst them is completed by means of a mentally painful little slider switch. They offer an FN crucial for temp switching but this only forces you to have to use the dreadful touch pad for left mouse clicking due to the fact it’s also awkward to press the FN essential, the touch pad, and the discrete left mouse button on the left, all at the exact same time. Also don't like the flimsy flap cover which requires away from an otherwise compact unit and makes it less accessible.

Wonderful little keyboard for an HTPC setup. Its smaller/compact, has fantastic range and accuraccy. Looks pretty snazzy too. Certain functions can be tough due to the compressed keyboard situation - particularly mouse appropriate clicks. I can't hold it against the item even though - some compromise had to be created for the size. Nevertheless, it would be a good concept to have a total size keyboard avaialble for far more complex tasks.

As opposed to RF remotes whereby a recognized logitech problem is your volume phantom maxing out (even when you lower it), this doesn't have that curse.Bluetooth lets me place the USB dongle onto the rear of the HTPC I have, making it invisible. Finally, palm sized, but when utilizing it like a texting device (e.g., each thums) the mouse on the correct paired with it's click on the left is best. And with the setpoint software you can adjust the defauly media play button from launching media player to launching media center (e.g., like it's a green button). But when in media center, slide the mouse switch to the other side, and the mouse is gone, but it's a <-- ->> and up down clicker which is ideal for navigation within media center.Battery life is about a month, and a uncomplicated charger can take care of the recharge pretty rapidly. It's sleek and matches my nmedia Computer HTPC perfectly. The bluetooth dongle is not friendly for any other device like alternate full keyboard, or headset. Still, not a dilemma as this is a lot for a media center Computer. I suspect Logitech will come out with a slightly larger version, mabe 12" nonetheless in a clamshell mode, for easier typing if you're performing web browsing or iTunes editing.

Good selection for HTPC if you don't want a complete size mouse & keyboard on your coffee table. Windows 7 ࿠ bit) recognized appropriate away. Keyboard is OK for me, keypad is also OK such as it is. Great battery life though I do not use it each and every day. Value. From time to time loses connection. Those two issues drop an egg. Wish it had function keys but that's not main. Also tiny for gaming. I have an HTPC with a built in touchscreen. This unit seriously assists mainly because I can pick it up and use it close to the computer when the major monitor (TV) is being utilised for something else. It's tough to use a mouse & keyboard standing up!

Compact, back lit, comfortable to use, the abilty to be able to switch from mouse function to D pad. My largest gripe is the reality that the software does not generally detect the device. I have some hotkeys programmed that will not perform when this happens, even though the rest of the device operates as typical. Not a deal breaker, but a modest inconvenience. I bought this to use with my HTPC that is running XBMC and I like it a lot much better than a remote setup that I utilized on a preceding HTPC construct.

If you need to have a device for Media Center, this is what you want.Great at what it is designed for, restricted alpha numeric entry. Great and seemless at manipulating Media Center menus. Back lights are very excellent at illuminating the key functions. Incredibly very good software program. Lid appears somewhat inferior. Price tag is high; Pirate Bay doesn't deal in hardware even though. I adore this point. If you are tired of standing in front of that Tv with your mouse running around your leg, this is the solution. I have a new remote to fall asleep holding!

We recently dropped cable and are working with an older Macbook (see Other Thoughts) to watch Television employing Hulu (browser and desktop), Netflix, and network web sites. This keyboard is the ideal answer for a personal computer in the living space if you don't want a separate mouse and keyboard lying around. It's easy and efficient the moment you get employed to the size of the keys. The design is clean and stylish so it essentially looks nice sitting on the coffee table. It holds a charge quite effectively and becoming in a position to plug it in and nonetheless use it is a big plus as well. The backlight is in two unique colors depending on the mode in which you have the Clickpad (media remote or touch pad). None so far. In case you missed the small Media Center button in the corner, this keyboard is created particularly with a Windows Computer in mind. That becoming said, it is perfectly functional on a Mac. The volume manage nevertheless operates perfectly and you can manage-click to simulate a appropriate click so all of that is intact. Like us, you may at times miss the "Apple/Command Key" shortcuts, but this is very minor and there may possibly be shortcuts obtainable. We've not bothered to look into it.I recall some evaluations making the idiotic statement that it was hard to sort for extended periods of time on this keyboard, but, seriously, would you write an email or an essay on a universal Tv or DVD remote? If your only computer is in the living area, then you should in all probability contemplate something else. For watching Tv and browsing the web from the couch, this point is excellent, Computer or Mac.

Small, really smaller and quite a few buttons. Works out of the box with XBMC and media center. There are occasions when the keys do not respond and it feels as even though it was disconnected, nonetheless the D-pad/mouse pointer nevertheless operates. I didn't comprehend this was a palm size device until I received it. I would rather have a remote for what I use it for.

WOW! I've had my shares of wireless HTPC keyboards, and this one is THE Greatest. This doesn't mean it couldn't get any much better, but this is the ideal of what is out there. Performs good with Linux. Volume, mute, and a couple of other buttons function wonderful out of the box. You will not regret it. $$$. I wish function keys (F1 thru F12) were present, or other keyboard functionality was simpler to access (even though they are nevertheless there, like pipe or brackets, and arrows). Yeah, you can just switch to media mode and the touch pad is now in arrow mode. The D-Pad was a bit sticky and had to press hard from time to time, or the spacebar was sticky. I'm certain a lot more keys could have been added, but then the size of the keyboard would have gotten larger. It was wonderful to show off to good friends, and specifically my wife to use. 99% of the functionality is there with the keyboard as is in a good compact form element. I am still blown away at how excellent it just works and fits into the HTPC living area. It was wonderful just passing it around to friends and let them work.

Little, massive battery (at 60%, reported 20 days), Good seeking unit. SUPER range, I can sit 25 feet back from my screen and the mouse is SMOOTH. Plug and play - you don't Want the software package. Its only to reprogram the buttons to custom stuff. The flip-top only goes back about 45 degrees facing away, up... this is very good and poor. Good cus it wont flop down hitting your hand, bad cus I want to be in a position to hold the keyboard up to the screen although I type to help me find out more rapidly, cus I have to look at the keys even though I sort due to the new and slightly awkward keymap Overall, its like texting on a big cell phone pad. Backlight is Awesome, and this works best for my HTPC attached to my 58" Tv. I've gone by means of several "HTPC" desired keyboard/mouse combos and this is by far the finest, most convenient, simplest to use, and possibly the COOLEST!

Great little unit. Just the issue for a cool HTPC. The software program is not compatible with XP MCE. Logitech knows this and has lots of fixes on their Internet site which consist of lines like "WARNING: Prior to rebooting, check if the wdf01000.sys file is present. Rebooting with no this file may well prevent some of your hardware, like mice and keyboards, from operating properly." Nonetheless wouldn't work and procedures like this are hazardous for newbies to execute. I would really like to personal a single that works. It's a shame they can't study to quit releasing software package which doesn't work.

I have had mine for 2 years. Durable! I beat the hell out of it on a typical basis. Has a great feel to it. A lot like my blackberry but 10 occasions much more functionality. No need to have to install computer software. (never have) Blinks out some of the time.loss of connection can be irritating but is understandable right after the abuse I place this thing via. I believed it would have given up on me by now. I am writing this review simply because I am contemplating receiving another one when mine dies. I bought this thing when it was more than 赨 dollars. It's virtually half that now. Side note I have learned tricks for re-establishing my remotes connection:Initially issue to try is switch the switch that turns the keyboard green and switch it back. wait half a second for the bluetooth symbol to stop glowing and it really should be fine. The second approach demand taking the battery out and placing it back in. Make sure the charger is unplugged so that there is no energy to the controller. Second approach usually works.

Little, keyboard and mouse functionality. Bluetooth functionality. It appears nice sitting on the table. I actually wanted to adore this factor, but no. I bought this keyboard and initial the included bluetooth receiver is wack. The mouse cursor was extremely unresponsive at about 8ft away. I set up my own receiver and paired and it was a little better, but I nevertheless noticed if I held the keyboard facing up as an alternative of toward me, the signal was weaker. I would have to tilt it so the rear faces the receiver. No major deal, correct? Wrong. The keys (everything but the track pad) would suddenly go out.... just cease to operate. Maybe thirty minutes later it would come back, spitting out each and every final key I had pushed previously in frustration. I referred to as Logitech tech assistance about this... their response "Pull out the battery." Wow... if that is your remedy, please make a push button to break the contacts on the battery to make this much easier. Laughable... Maybe I got a poor one, but forget about it. Went with a Gyration GYR4101US with mini keyboard instead of this and it's working beautifully.

Superb range compared to the other wireless keyboards and mice that I have tried - even though this is the 1st bluetooth device I have tried. It's the ideal size for the living space HTPC - it even fits in my remote manage caddy. I wish the back-lit keys were a little brighter - my home theater room is quite dark and it's tough to see some of the modifier keys (FN, Shift, and so on) and they aren't specifically laid out like a "normal" keyboard.

- Little, and sleek so that it does not take away from the Residence Theater region- Good keyboard when you are applied to it- Wonderful touchpad functionality, gives you two modes, 1 for mouse and 1 for navigating - Wonderful with HULU Desktop!!!- Battery is rechargeable and lasts forever! ྾+ Days on single charge)- Packaged extremely nicely! - Keyboard layout has a mastering curve so not just any individual could pick it up and beginning employing- Some persons are stating that they are have difficulties with connectivity and so on. I have not so I nonetheless give it 5 Eggs. For those of you that are having troubles please follow these instructions as an alternative of Logitechs:> Download and install the most recent version of Setpoint> Restart your computer but do not connect the dongle till Windows has totally loaded> Plug in the dongle and let Windows install the drivers from the proper location > Use deviceIt is that if you leave the device connected in the course of the installation procedure it does not know which drive to pull from and it causes problems. I will also advise that you do not use "Hibernation" there are some conflicts with the connectivity if you do.

Modest, but not to small. Has a cover keeps tiny ones from playing with it. Works exceptionally nicely with windows Media center. The dual click and path pad is awesome. The only con like so many other is that the click pad is smaller for use on a massive screen. Even although the click pad is modest it can be adjusted to compensate a little with the set point software it comes with. The only thing that would make it superior is if the software allowed edge continued motion, exactly where as you slide your finger across the pad it would continue across the screen as lengthy as your finger did not leave the edge.

Small, effortless to use, bluetooth and supports I-Tunes and MS Media Center. The battery life is wonderful and charging is straightforward. With the lid closed it doesn't appear like one more remote on the coffee table and it keeps the dust off of the crucial board. No F Keys. If you like Alt F4 you will be disappointed. No genuine user programmable keys for other applications that each user may well prefer. It doesn't appear to like VLC for the media control buttons, but you can effortlessly suitable click and get what you want on-screen. It was a little high-priced when I got it. If you are not on a budget go for it.

- Light weight- Tiny form element- Dual Clickpad- Mouse Touchpad- Battery life (went one month on a single charge!)- full qwerty keyboard- linux, XBMC Reside, Windows Media Center compatable.- battery is user replaceable, and stays in keyboard to charge- rugged- backlit keyboard- bluetooth connectivity- Pure geek appeal!!! - affordable feeling of construction (see other thoughts)- bluetooth connectivity (see other thoughts)- down click button on click does not constantly perform (see other thoughts) I ordered this keyboard two years ago to compliment my initial HTPC, and I was impressed. The 1st to points listed as Cons come from that initial product. When one held it, it was simply flexed and the battery would dislodge. This would lead to it to disconnect from the personal computer. Also, the very first generation of the keyboards had disconnection complications with their bluetooth dongle. These had been minor annoyances. I friend of mine just purchased a new model, and those issues are gone! it is now a rugged piece of gear. No complications with connection and the construction feels tighter. It even survived and accidental drop. So when my 1st gen died, I bought a different, and I have not been dissappointed. Anything works as advertised, and it nevertheless has the incredible battery life. My only complaint is that the down click on the clickpad deos not often engage. According to Logitech, they are conscious of the difficulty and have determined that it is the sensor. This is extremely minor IMHO. General five eggs!
