WOW! I've had my shares of wireless HTPC keyboards, and this one is THE Greatest. This doesn't mean it couldn't get any much better, but this is the ideal of what is out there. Performs good with Linux. Volume, mute, and a couple of other buttons function wonderful out of the box. You will not regret it. $$$. I wish function keys (F1 thru F12) were present, or other keyboard functionality was simpler to access (even though they are nevertheless there, like pipe or brackets, and arrows). Yeah, you can just switch to media mode and the touch pad is now in arrow mode. The D-Pad was a bit sticky and had to press hard from time to time, or the spacebar was sticky. I'm certain a lot more keys could have been added, but then the size of the keyboard would have gotten larger. It was wonderful to show off to good friends, and specifically my wife to use. 99% of the functionality is there with the keyboard as is in a good compact form element. I am still blown away at how excellent it just works and fits into the HTPC living area. It was wonderful just passing it around to friends and let them work. |

Little, massive battery (at 60%, reported 20 days), Good seeking unit. SUPER range, I can sit 25 feet back from my screen and the mouse is SMOOTH. Plug and play - you don't Want the software package. Its only to reprogram the buttons to custom stuff. The flip-top only goes back about 45 degrees facing away, up... this is very good and poor. Good cus it wont flop down hitting your hand, bad cus I want to be in a position to hold the keyboard up to the screen although I type to help me find out more rapidly, cus I have to look at the keys even though I sort due to the new and slightly awkward keymap Overall, its like texting on a big cell phone pad. Backlight is Awesome, and this works best for my HTPC attached to my 58" Tv. I've gone by means of several "HTPC" desired keyboard/mouse combos and this is by far the finest, most convenient, simplest to use, and possibly the COOLEST! |

Great little unit. Just the issue for a cool HTPC. The software program is not compatible with XP MCE. Logitech knows this and has lots of fixes on their Internet site which consist of lines like "WARNING: Prior to rebooting, check if the wdf01000.sys file is present. Rebooting with no this file may well prevent some of your hardware, like mice and keyboards, from operating properly." Nonetheless wouldn't work and procedures like this are hazardous for newbies to execute. I would really like to personal a single that works. It's a shame they can't study to quit releasing software package which doesn't work. |

I have had mine for 2 years. Durable! I beat the hell out of it on a typical basis. Has a great feel to it. A lot like my blackberry but 10 occasions much more functionality. No need to have to install computer software. (never have) Blinks out some of the time.loss of connection can be irritating but is understandable right after the abuse I place this thing via. I believed it would have given up on me by now. I am writing this review simply because I am contemplating receiving another one when mine dies. I bought this thing when it was more than 赨 dollars. It's virtually half that now. Side note I have learned tricks for re-establishing my remotes connection:Initially issue to try is switch the switch that turns the keyboard green and switch it back. wait half a second for the bluetooth symbol to stop glowing and it really should be fine. The second approach demand taking the battery out and placing it back in. Make sure the charger is unplugged so that there is no energy to the controller. Second approach usually works. |

Little, keyboard and mouse functionality. Bluetooth functionality. It appears nice sitting on the table. I actually wanted to adore this factor, but no. I bought this keyboard and initial the included bluetooth receiver is wack. The mouse cursor was extremely unresponsive at about 8ft away. I set up my own receiver and paired and it was a little better, but I nevertheless noticed if I held the keyboard facing up as an alternative of toward me, the signal was weaker. I would have to tilt it so the rear faces the receiver. No major deal, correct? Wrong. The keys (everything but the track pad) would suddenly go out.... just cease to operate. Maybe thirty minutes later it would come back, spitting out each and every final key I had pushed previously in frustration. I referred to as Logitech tech assistance about this... their response "Pull out the battery." Wow... if that is your remedy, please make a push button to break the contacts on the battery to make this much easier. Laughable... Maybe I got a poor one, but forget about it. Went with a Gyration GYR4101US with mini keyboard instead of this and it's working beautifully. |

Superb range compared to the other wireless keyboards and mice that I have tried - even though this is the 1st bluetooth device I have tried. It's the ideal size for the living space HTPC - it even fits in my remote manage caddy. I wish the back-lit keys were a little brighter - my home theater room is quite dark and it's tough to see some of the modifier keys (FN, Shift, and so on) and they aren't specifically laid out like a "normal" keyboard. |

- Little, and sleek so that it does not take away from the Residence Theater region- Good keyboard when you are applied to it- Wonderful touchpad functionality, gives you two modes, 1 for mouse and 1 for navigating - Wonderful with HULU Desktop!!!- Battery is rechargeable and lasts forever! ྾+ Days on single charge)- Packaged extremely nicely! - Keyboard layout has a mastering curve so not just any individual could pick it up and beginning employing- Some persons are stating that they are have difficulties with connectivity and so on. I have not so I nonetheless give it 5 Eggs. For those of you that are having troubles please follow these instructions as an alternative of Logitechs:> Download and install the most recent version of Setpoint> Restart your computer but do not connect the dongle till Windows has totally loaded> Plug in the dongle and let Windows install the drivers from the proper location > Use deviceIt is that if you leave the device connected in the course of the installation procedure it does not know which drive to pull from and it causes problems. I will also advise that you do not use "Hibernation" there are some conflicts with the connectivity if you do. |

Modest, but not to small. Has a cover keeps tiny ones from playing with it. Works exceptionally nicely with windows Media center. The dual click and path pad is awesome. The only con like so many other is that the click pad is smaller for use on a massive screen. Even although the click pad is modest it can be adjusted to compensate a little with the set point software it comes with. The only thing that would make it superior is if the software allowed edge continued motion, exactly where as you slide your finger across the pad it would continue across the screen as lengthy as your finger did not leave the edge. |

Small, effortless to use, bluetooth and supports I-Tunes and MS Media Center. The battery life is wonderful and charging is straightforward. With the lid closed it doesn't appear like one more remote on the coffee table and it keeps the dust off of the crucial board. No F Keys. If you like Alt F4 you will be disappointed. No genuine user programmable keys for other applications that each user may well prefer. It doesn't appear to like VLC for the media control buttons, but you can effortlessly suitable click and get what you want on-screen. It was a little high-priced when I got it. If you are not on a budget go for it. |

- Light weight- Tiny form element- Dual Clickpad- Mouse Touchpad- Battery life (went one month on a single charge!)- full qwerty keyboard- linux, XBMC Reside, Windows Media Center compatable.- battery is user replaceable, and stays in keyboard to charge- rugged- backlit keyboard- bluetooth connectivity- Pure geek appeal!!! - affordable feeling of construction (see other thoughts)- bluetooth connectivity (see other thoughts)- down click button on click does not constantly perform (see other thoughts) I ordered this keyboard two years ago to compliment my initial HTPC, and I was impressed. The 1st to points listed as Cons come from that initial product. When one held it, it was simply flexed and the battery would dislodge. This would lead to it to disconnect from the personal computer. Also, the very first generation of the keyboards had disconnection complications with their bluetooth dongle. These had been minor annoyances. I friend of mine just purchased a new model, and those issues are gone! it is now a rugged piece of gear. No complications with connection and the construction feels tighter. It even survived and accidental drop. So when my 1st gen died, I bought a different, and I have not been dissappointed. Anything works as advertised, and it nevertheless has the incredible battery life. My only complaint is that the down click on the clickpad deos not often engage. According to Logitech, they are conscious of the difficulty and have determined that it is the sensor. This is extremely minor IMHO. General five eggs! |

Tiny Size, Lit Keys, Bluetooth, Cool Design, Media Center Function. Computer software is not the greatest simply because you can't configure several keys. No devoted MediaCenter Home/Start button that conforms to the MediaCenter typical. Stop - This item has a vital design flaw! The directional pad has the micro switches miss-placed underneath. You can push up or left on the edge of the dir-pad and it functions fine, but if you do the exact same edge press down or appropriate it won’t respond. A FAQ says to press more towards the center of the pad but then you risk pressing enter. Other owners please confirm in your evaluation as I have currently tested this on two devices? If this is definitely a design matters, Logitech must recall and replace and NewEgg need to not sell a device with a identified concern. *NewEgg has been good with returns. |

Tiny size, pretty very good construction, effortless to install and setup. Picks back up connection from 'sleep' mode genuinely very easily, no issues with that so far. Hardware works very properly when it wants to perform. Much more on that in the cons... The software program for Windows 7, no matter if it's 32 or 64 bit just does not work. Logitech Set Point is definitely horrible. It regularly loses half the functions of the software program and causes issues with the technique not choosing up key presses. You shed keyboard functionality half the time, causing you to have to reboot to restore it. It gets much better because you have to reinstall the software program practically each time you reboot simply because the computer software loses any keyboard/mouse assistance. Logitech has know about this issue for four months now and has carried out absolutely nothing but give the song and dance of "update your drivers, update update update. I've got the most up-to-date updates and BIOS for my mobo, most up-to-date updates for my OS (Win 7 x64), newest updates of Logitechs drivers and computer software and there is absolutely nothing else on the program so there isn't a conflict. I honestly consider this will be the final time I invest in a logitech device for very a while. As it is, I'm considering attempting to return this and finding one thing else for my HTPC. I like the diNovo but if the software program won't operate proper for it, then it's pointless for me to keep when it won't do what its suppose to. |

Its a fantastic little keyboard, and goes excellent if you have a huge library of music/movies on your HTPC - navigating by letter is so considerably easier and quicker than working with a common remote. And bluetooth gives it a a lot much better range than RF keyboards. And even although its got a bluetooth dongle, the Pc identifies it as a plain keyboard+mouse, so you can nevertheless use it in BIOS (or even DOS!). Alternatively, you can use your personal computer's own internal bluetooth (or a 3rd party dongle), but then you have to wait for the drivers to load prior to it connects. Only two minor factors: Very first of all, the BT dongle won't connect to any BT devices other than this keyboard (or a diNovo edge if you have 1 of those as well). So if you want to add bluetooth headphones, you'll still require a different normal dongle to make those perform.Second, there are no F-keys, so when initially setting up the laptop make certain you have yet another full keyboard handy just in case you have to adjust some BIOS settings, install XP RAID drivers, or whatever else. When that's all set up you won't want it once again, so its no large deal. These two cons won't even get me to take an egg off - I'm pretty confident that any individual looking to purchase this keyboard can afford Ū for a spare keyboard and Ū for a all-objective BT dongle if they will need them but don't have them already. If you use your HTPC for something other than a media center, you're superior off going with the diNovo Edge. Yeah its a full size keyboard (minus the keypad on the correct), but it will make your life a lot less difficult when undertaking other tasks. |

Backlight, lithium battery pack, compact. It is actually too major for a thumbs only keyboard. No scrolling/mouse wheel capability. Mouse pad is too small. No proper mouse button (you can emulate appropriate cliks only by with a function important modifier). High priced. This does ok for an htpc for quite basic controls... dont expect to be typing away due to the fact this is harder to type than a excellent mobile device (ie: blackberry). IMHO you need to go for something like the Zippy RF-636 (what I presently own, and retired my logitech). |

Works with Windows 7. Tiny and compact, this factor can fit in the palm of your hand. The keyboard and integrated touchpad are incredibly nice. Touchpad is a little tricky at initial but took much less than an hour to master it. Following watching a 90 minute DVD, the keyboard would not respond. The touchpad moved the mouse but everything else was frozen. Went on the internet and identified out that this and other similar difficulties with this device have been ongoing for nearly two years now. Logitech’s workaround is to open the case, get rid of and reinstall the battery, then press the connect button on the dongle. Also have to reinstall the SetPoint software program on my personal computer to get some of keyboard shortcut functions back. All of this is very inconvenient. Don’t thoughts utilizing a superior workaround to get something to operate, but this is not a great workaround. You would believe that immediately after two years Logitech could come up with something greater than “remove and reinstall the battery” every single time it locks up.I returned the device and bought an additional wireless remote, which I am incredibly pleased with. |

This is a fantastic keyboard mouse setup for an HTPC. My wife and stepdaughter have given it praise as well, compared to some of the earlier attempts. Particularly smaller form factor. Sexy. Functions on the considerably-criticized Bluetooth technologies which has a slew of technical complications. Bluetooth is supposed to function through walls - my Mini does not. The touchpad is too little to be useful and does not operate like that of a laptop. It is jumpy and too sensitive when you don't want it to be, and not sensitive sufficient when you do want it to be. The keyboard's illumination is funky... only some keys light up and others don't, and the secondary function symbols don't light up at all. Mine makes a strange humming noise while it was illuminated. Certainly not a replacement for a regular keyboard for anything much more than a 1-line text message. I bought this hoping it would be a superior replacement for my cumbersome keyboard and mouse set on my HTPC. I adore, really like, adore Logitech devices and own about 10 Logitech keyboards, mice, and so on. The Mini, was really disappointing even so and I've already begun looking for a distinct solution to manage the HTPC. Bottom line is that my old keyboard/mouse set it too massive with additional functions than I need ... and the Mini is too tiny with too couple of useful functions. I want a thing in between, and I'll bet several other Mini users will really feel the same immediately after they give it a trial run. |

Tiny, sleek, sexy. Rechargeable. Replaces the function of all input devices (remote control, mouse, keyboard). Devoted media keys. Light-up keys, and lights alter color with mode (via a switch or holding the Fn key).ALL FUNCTIONS Perform flawlessly in Ubuntu 9.10 (given a ŭ generic USB dongle, the included dongle reportedly won't perform correctly). I'd like some shoulder buttons (or shoulder scrollwheel) but that's a minor gripe. The mousing is from time to time a small janky but turning the sensitivity all the way up assists, and if you use a media center like Boxee or XBMC you can get away with only making use of the arrow keys. Also a devoted appropriate-click button would be good. I'd prefer it to use rechargeable AAA's. Pricey, but this was a gift anyway. |

This keyboard is excellent for use as a remote and occasional typing on your HTPC. It is tiny enough to really feel like a remote and the buttons huge sufficient to use with my bigger hands. Its smaller size makes it harder to sort lots of stuff with it but that is what a actual keyboard is for anyway. If you want to make any BIOS adjustments you will need to have the real keyboard anyway. Preserve 1 around for this type of stuff. Overall it was worth the funds. Handy for HTPC. This unit started out good for about 6 months but went down hill right after that. I started having the exact same issue that others had noticed where it would go to sleep and you had to take away the battery and reinsert to wake it up. Now it only works intermittently and removing the battery does not always correct it. For a high dollar unit I expected much more and coming from Logitech I expected even additional than that. Granted it is more than a year old Ƒ 1ǘ years), but I have had other cordless keyboards (mostly Logitech) that have lasted a couple of years. |

Small, really smaller and quite a few buttons. Works out of the box with XBMC and media center. There are occasions when the keys do not respond and it feels as even though it was disconnected, nonetheless the D-pad/mouse pointer nevertheless operates. I didn't comprehend this was a palm size device until I received it. I would rather have a remote for what I use it for.
