this board is Wonderful. sata6gbs is rapid rapidly quick (if your working with 6gbs drive)! usb 3 is awsome also! and it's Seriously Making ME ANGRY that people are saying crossfire sucks on this board. I read a comment saying some thing like READ Critiques ON X16/X4 CROSSFIRE, ITS HORRIBLE. WORSE THAN Working with A SINGLE CARD. well, my build is LIVING proof your incorrect. i'm operating two hd5770's in crossfire and the performance is Wonderful. yeah, i took a hit, but its about ten% TOPS. My 2nd 5770 was 90 bucks so I could really care less 𞴪 bucks for my crossfire which is about a 5870 when overclocked (bought my 1st 5770 when they were brand spanking new). The board has a pretty excellent gap among my two cards as well for airflow.Anyways, unlocked and overclocked my phenomIIx2 to x4 B55@ three.8ghz on air. lowered the timings on my g.skill 1.6ghz from 9 to 8 and all runs stable. good board at this value Not substantially for an ENTRY level board. Don't listen to what men and women say about crossfire with x16/x4. it operates. it operates Good. Those people only use assumptions and random benchmarks but I just went out and bought this board to attempt myself. And at this price, it's wonderful.

Very good Layout, Quickly Overclockable, Stable, Crossfire 2nd PCI-E channel will only run at x4 I've read a lot of evaluations about difficulties with this board. I bought an open box of this board for 60 dollars and I couldn't be happier. Almost everything runs perfectly. I'm operatingAMD 965 Black Edition four GB G.Ability RipjawsGeforce 460I can clock the ram to 1600 and the processor to 3.8ghz stable without having getting to adjust anything. I improved the CPU voltage a hair just in case. This is essentially a single of the very best boards I've ever had, overclock wise.I believe MSI may possibly had had manufacturing complications with this board but when it functions, it functions.

Excellent...-RMA'd -Had me test multiple components on it to double check what was defective. At the end, it was the motherboard. I've had more than a solid month of using this board with no complications, and I bought an open-box board here on Newegg. It successfully unlocked all four cores in my Phenom II X2 555. None so far :)

Overclock Tech, LED's, Quiet, fits Mid-Towers simply. Dead On Arrival, no BIOS. I got this product a fantastic 2.5 weeks ago, and even let the local techs appear at it. They confirmed with em that the motherboard arrived dead.I must have read the evaluations. Either you get a great one, or the Oc-Tech will trigger instability with the BIOS, causing it to fail just before you turn it on.Currently operating on receiving it replaced. If that doesn't perform, someones going to have some explaining to do. works wonderful every little thing has had no difficulties the oc genie has gotten my am3 phenom2x4 965 from three.4 to three.8 by itself none I have had no troubles and everything worked great for me

I did like the more than all layout of the board, and simple to read tags for the individual USB / Audio plugs on the board, and the added USB ports on the back. With that being said I have loads of difficulties with this boardɅ.) Tech support - non existant, all you get is wise aleck remarks and condensending folks who think they are above you, and would rather ridicul you than get answers to your concerns, in particular on their horrible "forums" as they like to call it.2.) The heat sinks were not seated right on my board, I checked ahead of I turned on the personal computer so removed them, removed the low cost thermal paste and put on arctic silver and re-seated the heat sinks properlythree.) If you add a PCI-e card that the motherboard already has a function for, IE 2nd raid controller, ethernet / wifi card, the board will only let you use 1. Either Motherboard OR addon, no exceptions. Right after seeing almost everything thats been going on, I won't yell at any individual for my errors of ignoring all the negative feedback for this manufacturer (MSI), so I will now be returning to ASUS, where I know their equipment really works, and if it doesn't, they have people who are much more than willing to help.

Booted up and ran on the 1st try. Runs beautifuly, quite stable. The NB and SB preserve up with my 6 core easily. Ram is kinda tight. If MSI wants to preserve PSǘ, they really should do two, or none at all.

This is by far the easiest motherboard I have ever installed. I have yet to have an problem with MSI hardware. This board is an exceptional value for a PC gamer on a budget. It even has USB 3.. The dark-colored board looks extremely good in a windowed-case. I enjoy the MSI Live computer software that keeps the BIOS up to date. It does not come with an eSata port or on-board graphics, so preserve that in thoughts as you program your construct. I am actually pleased with this board. MSI continues to impress me. This board appears geared towards PC gamers on a spending budget.

Thinking about it arrived DOA, there are no pros The unit came, spent awhile acquiring every little thing hooked up, get ready to boot up and install windows and I get no video. I tried 3 diff video cards, tried clearing CMOS, tried with only 1 DIMM, with no DIMM, w/o CPU.. It is not even given POST codes, but energy reaches anything. I have every little thing hooked up appropriate and have the case speaker attached.Like other people, I seriously should have listened to the critiques. Extremely intuitive and straightforward to setup. Reasonably stable until recently. Had the LAN go out on original mb. RMA'd the old board, and just received the new board yesterday. Install it and the new board will not even POST. This has been two weeks ongoing. Will get in touch with CS to see what can be completed, hopefully overnight or very soon... Would rate greater, but had an RMA board that was semi-functional replaced with one that is DOA...

Wonderful board for the cost, can't beat the top quality or the capability. The Motherboard was defective, immediately after I placed my new parts the computer BSOD'd, following I fixed that concern, i went to set the rams right setting in BIOS, BIOS crashed. Went to repair BIOS, Flash failed. RMA'd for a second go about, we'll see how this goes... I will be very disappointed if the second board doesn't perform, and I will probably not obtain an MSI product once more.ASUS hasn't failed me yet, possibly I must of stuck with whats excellent.

Had good alternatives and a straightforward BIOS to use plus blue LEDs and excellent layout for my setup Died following about 1 week. Sat down and switched it on and smell burning plastic. Right away turned it off but was too late...PCB had several burns in it already. Hopefully MSI will be merciful to me. It genuinely is a great board but high quality manage isn't too fantastic. It was going fine for a few months. Then I bought an A50 cooler. And it fried.Good thing MSI is currently shipping me a new one. It's okay I guess, the BIOS has lots of overclocking features. Some of the power pin placing makes no sense and stretched some cables to their very demise, even causing some to tangle in fans.Didn't see any performance upgrade. Overclocking to DDR3-1600 was a breeze though, very simple.

None DOA. This board was an absolute nightmare and waste of time and cash. I will never obtain MSI goods again and I strongly suggest the identical for everyone. I Purchased a gigabyte board right following this 1 and it booted up just fine with out any problems, the way it must be. It looks to be a decent board with a lot of capabilities for the price. Even so, its just a low-cost brand that is extremely unreliable. If you get one that works than more power to you but the odds of that are slim to say the least.

Excellent Motherboard for the cost. I was able to get a stable OC with Genie Lite on a 1090T to three.7 Ghz. Patriot DDR3 Ram worked effectively at 1600. Play Blu-Rays nicely and am seeking forward to playing 3D Blu-Rays when I upgrade my video card. Overclocking is much more hard than I thought, in particular with newer parts that haven't been tested by the manufacturer. I attempted to attempt 4GB of Corsair XM3 ƒ DIMMS) which ran at 2000 Mhz, but the memory settings in the BIOS only allowed me to run it at 1600 Mhz. Unsure if these certain chips can be OC with the motherboard to run at full potential. It would be good if the manual on OC for this motherboard was a little a lot more in depth on how to max out your program with parts which would work. Overclocking with Genie Lite was a sinch, just a few clicks and reboot. Motherboard is a bit quicker with fans cooling the North & South Bridge heatsinks, computer runs quicker with extra memory heatsinks and fans. Would've been good to have those included in the box with the motherboard. OC Genie Lite works very good until you try to upgrade the Ram, which may well trigger you to get a CMOS Checksum Bad error at startup. Thinking about resetting the CMOS as a fix. Also, I'm unsure if setting the FSB to 2600 in the BIOS will enable a faster memory speed. Nonetheless obviously tweaking my own method. Have however to upgrade to a SATA III 6Gps hard drive which really should speed up my method considerably. Method hasn't crashed however and at the settings I have it on at present I don't anticipate it to.
