I have to say, this was one of the easiest builds I've performed. The MSI board is nice and clean, and fairly sharp seeking. It looks and feels like a great solid board out of the box. Installed 8GB of GSkill memory, but program to put all 16GB in. Good position on SATA connectors relative to my drives.Red RipJaws memory actually looks kinda cool against the blue. A lot of space for the enormous copper CPU cooler. MSI BIOS is fairly cool. Requires some obtaining use to, as it I am use to the standard BIOS look and feel.My rig is blazing quickly proper now. With hardware virtualization and vt-d enabled, I had 3 VMs running devoid of a hickup (Win 2008 R2, WinXP, and Ubuntu all beneath Windows 7, whilst editing images in Photoshop CS4, surfing the web with Firefox4, and watching the Chronicles of Narnia on BlueRay.Driver installation was a breeze. I did not bother with the integrated disk. Just went to the net web-site and downloaded the latest to start out. Win7 detected every thing. No re-set up n None so far, except I could say far more about the pros, but ran out of space :-) But if I have any issues, I'll be back. The ordering processed was goofed up and I ended up with two orders rather of a single. Newegg was prompt in obtaining everything taken care of so I could return the duplicates, get a full refund, and they paid the shipping. I guess that is why I usually get my laptop stuff at Newegg. Customer service is outstanding, even by retail standards, let alone an online based company. Newegg, I'll by no means leave you if you keep it up!!My Build:------------------* MSI P67A-C43 Motherboard* Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge three.4GHz* 4 500GB really hard drives* 1 DVD+-R/W DL drive* 1 BD-ROM drive* PNY GeForce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3* Sound Blaster Audigy two ZS Platinum* ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT two Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink* 2 x G.Talent Ripjaws X Series 8GB ƒ x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333 SDRAM Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL, 16GB total.* Thermaltake Armor Complete Tower Case* Corsair 80+ certified 800W power supply.* Samsung 2770FH Monitor.

good layout, only what i necessary, posted on very first try. alot of nice software that some may possibly use. too early to inform something else, as i just got it this week. soon after some aggravation, and then research, i discovered that of the four program fan headers, only system fans 1 and 2 make use of sensors. that signifies the other two fans run at one hundred% speed. i specifically purchased this board with a create and case in thoughts. the four header fans was fanstastic and one of the good bonuses of this board mainly because most other boards have only 2 technique fan headers.fixes: 1. i could purchase a splitter, but the over wattage pull could degrade the board. also, i deemed a http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageGallery.aspx?CurImage០-119-248-S02&ISList០-119-248-S01Ŵc12-119-248-S02Ŵc12-119-248-S03&S7ImageFlagɣ&Item=N82E16812119248&Depaɢ&WaterMarkɣ&Description=Rosewill񚴬ຊຈPWMຈSplitterຈModelຈRCW-FPS-401, but the speed of the fan is controled by the % of power the fan header receives so i'm unsure if it will work properly. two. i could get a ฤ fan controlerthree. a greater case.all of the fixes involve far more cash, but this is a budge construct. (except for the 2500k!) i took an egg off becaues nowhere, not even in the manual, does it state that not all fan headers use sensors. Also, the bios temp was 30c above monitoring software program.

Strong elements.Fantastic software program suite.Nice board layout.Functions like a champ! None truly. OK, my last MSI motherboard was a 975x chipset primarily based board. I know...OLD. Anyways, had some issues with it but it soldiered on but I nevertheless vowed not to pick up an additional MSI board.Factors adjust. Wanted a 'budget' board for my new Sandy Bridge i5 and set a price tag limit. MSI met it.Crossed my fingers and soon after setting it up...booted suitable off the bat. ZERO challenges.Excellent manual, computer software, elements.Surely would propose!

I wanted a gaming board for my single GPU setup, no worthless onboard graphics, no slow bus 2ndary PCI E slot, no outdated A: drive or PATA. This board is a "current" board, has none of the worthless old dated tech, has all the contemporary tech like sata3, usb3, ddr3 and so forth. Fantastic board. None Ever see Apocalypse Now, and they steal that surf board and then Robert Duvall searches the entire jungle hunting for his board, I would be Robert Duvall if I lost this board.

-Incredibly durable, solid design. I haven't tested it's durability but it undoubtedly feels stronger than most motherboards. The capacitors are not barely attached and flimsy like most.-Almost everything you need to have. Nothing you dont. No Firewire? Who cares! Only two USB three.'s and 8 USB 2.'s? More than sufficient! If you need to have to recharge additional than 2 ipads at after, you have as well a lot of ipads, not too handful of USB three. ports. This motherboard fees significantly less than the other MSi p67A boards but isn't really missing something. The only cause to get a more high priced model that I can see would be if you planned on working with Crossfire or SLiI.-Labeled quite effectively. I spent a fantastic 45 minutes installing my old Asus board most of which was spent attempting to figure out what's what. The labels on the MSi board make it quite swift and straightforward to set up.-OC Genie II. Automatic OC'ing my i5 from 3.30ghz to up to 4.5ghz. -Not a con for me. But if you plan on employing SLI or Crossfire, be conscious this board has only 1 PCI-E x16 slot.-The 4 first SATA slots will be covered by larger GPUs like the Nvidia GTX 260 & Nvidia GTX 560ti type issue GPU's.-Misleading marketing on OC Genie II. On this board there is no physical OC Genie II button. There are pictures and statements in the marketing showing that there is, but there isn't The OC Genie is swaitched On in the Bios on this board, not on any physical button. There is no documentation incorporated with the board explaing how to even use the OC Genie II. -If youre going to promote a principal feature of a solution you need to be as correct as possible in it's explaination. There is no OC Genie II button that you press for 1-second OC'ing on this board, unlike the marketing photos and statements claim. You should enter the Bios and turn it On. There is no explaination or guidelines in the documentation about this function. Highly dissapointing.

A lot of USB ports, USB3 Assistance and SATA3. Not to mention the P67 Chipset and you can\'t beat the price. Comes with lots of extras including blocks that you can hook up all your case connections outside of the case and plug it in as 1 it saves time hooking up separate case plugs to the board. Bios user interface is good! If you have a substantial graphics card it covers up the SATA III ports.

This is a great board for the uncomplicated truth that it was in stock and a p67 chipset. The board as far as good quality appears fine and it has every thing i was hunting for. i didnt like the fac that some of the sata ports were at a 90* angle and stacked up; even so some of you with massive graphics cards may well applaud this due to the fact that they wont be blocked. the bios is a quite good function with the mouse help but why must you double click everything? not a con but odd to me. no onboard graphics but its a p67 not an h67 so i cant seriously get in touch with that a con. i5-2500k with a hyper 212this mobog.talent ripjaws 2x2gb @ 21331tb western digital hddcorsair cx430 psuXclio caseLG blu-ray burner x2Nvidia gt220

Even the manual does not mention it anyplace.Any insight? Contact me dumb but I did read manual and enabled the OC Genie in BIOS and Control Center. Now what? Give me the button. It is the most cheap and has all of the very same attributes or even much better ones for the board of the related price line.- eight USBs, wow?! nice.- Bios is uncomplicated and fairly.- Blue LEDs on the board. Doesn't have heatsinks across the board as other greater models. It is not actually a con if you expect it to be like that. I was a tiny bit skeptical but temperature-wise it is not a huge deal.

So far so fantastic, appears like good high quality make and this board OC's very effortless. Took the i5-2500k to 4.5ghz at 1.3 volts in significantly less than a sec without any hiccups. Also has a button to OC quickly but never tried it since I like to do it manually. It does anything I will need, I didn't need to have all the characteristics the other more high priced boards had so this board was proper in my cost range. No future expansion for Crossfire/SLI given that it only has 1 PCIE 2. slot (which really should be anticipated because it's a low cost board), but that's nothing huge for me because it's genuinely pointless to get crossfire/sli unless you're playing on truly higher res. The mouse click BIOS sucks utilizing the mouse. Can't use wheel and dragging the scroll bar will virtually constantly click on one thing you didn't mean to. Stick with the keyboard. MSI tends to make fantastic good quality solutions and this "budget" motherboard is no exception. It does not have all the bells and whistles as greater priced models, but if you're just seeking for a good, comparatively economical MB with a single PCI-e and P67 chipset then this MB is a great get. No heatsinks on the chipsets like other MSI models. Making use of this MB with an i5 2500k and a Cooler Master GeminII S RR-CCH-PBU1-GP, I have the i5 modestly overclocked and running stable at 4.four GHz on 1.28 volts. Upping the voltage to 1.34 volts gets 4.five GHz, 1.37 volts gets 4.6 GHz, and 1.395 volts gets 4.7 GHz. Extremely easy to overclock the 2500k on this MB, just watch your temps and locate a balance you can reside with. I chose four.4 GHZ as it was enough for my needs and cpu temp under no circumstances passes 60* below complete load running Prime95, and idles at 34*, so I can be confident I am not overtaxing my method.

This is a strong price range board and I have been primarily content with it for the couple of weeks I have been operating it. The UEFI BIOS is solid though for a power user, it might be really feel overly ‘slick’. Runs rapidly and has 95% of the attributes you need to have without spending 赨 on a MB.Frequent BIOS updates There are some compatibility concerns with various companies of RAM that can lead to some instability and lockups. This is generally fixed by lowering your RAM speed to DDR1333.Several of the 'Green Power' capabilities that are present on this model will lock up the board if enabled (c-state, EUP2013 and so on). MB comes enabled with the fans operating at 100% causing excessive noise. As I talked about, its a fantastic board. I have had some lockups when enabling advertised functions of the C43 (green energy). Disabling these have returned stability to the board without having (surprisingly) raising my temps. If you purchase this model, get familiar with the MSI forums as they and the admins are a huge assist

Worked on very first boot. 8 USB ports, optical audio out (good for property theater Pc connecting to surround sound), three PCI slots, six SATA slots, four RAM slots, surely leaves plenty of space for peripherals. Has a really user-friendly BIOS screen with straightforward overclocking and effortlessly navigable hardware settings. Have not applied this quite long so no notion if it will die on me tomorrow, but it appears like a incredibly nicely-built board. Very content with the specs. Windows did not automatically recognize ethernet and audio drivers, but that is not the mobo's fault. No legacy IDE connections, so my old school DVD drive won't operate any longer, but a new drive is like ฟ anyway. Not the least expensive board, but you get what you spend for.

Decent cost, looks great. Ordered the MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 initial, was a DOA with the power loop following attempting fairly significantly every thing to repair it. This board did the Exact same Exact Point. I even subsequent day delivered this due to the fact I thought for sure MSI wouldn't screw up twice in a row, in particular on two distinct forms of boards. I Believed Incorrect! So for my 3rd attempt on a motherboard, I ordered a BIOSTAR TP67B+ LGA 1155 Intel P67. Booted up 1st try. Running smooth and great since! Owned it for a month and a half now. Great product. Works wonderful with a core i3 3GHz and four GB rams. I like the new bios, great small feature for the price tag. Finding very good fps rate with a gtx 460 768mb. Excellent mid-range motherboard. There's no OC Genie button... If your hear a high frequency sound coming from the motherboard, go in the bios and disable C-States.

I used multiple Temperature programs that all said the same thing. I have started the RMA process with MSI, hopefully its not a horrible experience like others.

Worked on first boot with Core i5 2500k, 2x4GB G.Ability Ripjaws DDR3-1600, GTX480, two tough drives, single optical drive, etc.I really like the BIOS setup. I've never noticed a thing so effortless to use as far as BIOS goes, it's a relief. Setting XMP and overclocking are all carried out by way of mouse clicks now - a lot additional intuitive and user-friendly.The SATA ports underneath my GTX480 are mounted sideways so they can still be utilized with the card installed. All cables reach exactly where they need to have to go. This board DOES have a front-panel USB3. header, and comes with an adapter to 2. for that header if you have many front USB2. ports.Dualboots just fine in XP Property 32-bit (slipstreamed with SATA drivers so I could natively install it) and 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The BIOS gives in-depth tweaking for turbo-boost and overclocking: for instance, on my i5-2500k I wanted to set the base clock to three.7GHz, and limit the turbo to 3.8 on all 4 cores, three.9 on 3 cores, 4. on 2 cores, and four.1 on just 1 core. The BIOS provides selections for that, but none of it functions for some reason. When I set a specific overclock (with overspeed protection off), then set turbo limits right after, it in no way exceeds the initial overclock. I've also tried making use of the Windows utility for overclocking that comes with the motherboard, after enabling OS overclocking in the BIOS... and it doesn't do anything there either. There are possibilities, but none of them do anything. Possibly I'm missing a setting someplace... I mean, it's plenty rapidly as it is, but I purchased that chip due to its overclockability and turboboost... so I'd like to make full use. Also comes with small headers for your front-panel buttons and lights, you attach the power LED, reset switch, power switch, and so on... then plug the whole factor into the motherboard at as soon as. I seriously like that, it saved me the biggest headache in constructing the Pc.
