This is a fantastic 1.5mp camera!I have had 1 for over a year now and performs like a charm on all four of my PCs. (Windows 7 64bit, Windows 7 Ultra 64bit, Windows XP, and a Windows 7 Home 32bit Computer) Absolutley no install problems and the top quality is superb. I agree with the guy that says chill on the packaging and go green. Such a very good camera, I just ordered a 2nd one particular just before writing this assessment.

Functions with skype seamlessly. Clear excellent with occasional pixel-ness due to low light (and varying bandwidth). Microphone is clear.Operates truly properly with Vista; even with Xp there are no issues. Even though at first skeptical, i discovered that the stand operates nicely for clipping to a monitor. The "effects" are hokey, but perform well as well (like shear/pinch, posterization, even adding a hat or mask to your head-- that moves about with you!!)All-about fantastic excellent for the cost. It took virtually a half hour to install on my aging P4 XP machine! It took five minutes at most on my vista laptop (I am guessing vista has bundled drivers for webcams although XP does not.)Set up package in Vista is about 90mb... Good value, great integration, very good high quality. Very recommended; have had no issues right after a week of frequent use.

I had some low-cost webcams that would not migrate to Windows 7 with my new pc create so I had to purchase this one. It works great, correct out of the box, no fussing with it, image high quality is ten times far better than my old one. I am content. goofy button on top rated of the camera that you always hit if you move it.

Great little cam Computer software takes FOREVER to install, when it completed, the driver still woudn't work suitable and woudln't detect the cam. Tried to uninstall the driver from Device Manager and got a message saying "It could not be uninstalled" This thing is a piece of junk

Excellent video top quality and stills. I've utilised this cam on computers with 32-bit XP, 64-bit XP, 32-bit Vista, and 64-bit Vista. It works with both Skype, Gchat (Gmail), and on the net flash applications. The default computer software does not let you set a timer on nevertheless shots. Not a deal breaker as there is in all probability other software program that can do this. I at present have four of these set up for multiple household members. All work good on numerous ranges of computers and OSs. I personally don't use the built-in mic on my system, but on the other systems it works good.

My parents have this camera functioning fine with Windows 7 Home 64-bit, it works fine with Windows XP.Nonetheless, with Windows 7 RC1 it refuses to initialize. Camera is recognized by the OS, drivers claim to be installed appropriately. I updated the video drivers and tried a clean boot. Absolutely nothing changes. I guess I'll have to wait till I get a full and licensed version of Windows 7, rather of the release candidate. Disappointed I can't use it on my desktop as it at present stands, but in all other respects it is a decent webcam.

I ordered this, and shipped it directly to my 80 year old mother. She was able to adhere to the directions effortlessly and every little thing worked nicely the 1st time. She is operating this on a Vista household system and is a quite fundamental laptop user. Functions nicely with Skype. None that I know of Hey, if my Mom can do it...

This is a good webcam for the price. Great image quality, straightforward and quick install. Works perfectly. I am use Windows 7 64 bit and have had no issues with it. Mine shipped on Monday and I received it the next day with just the basic three day shipping (i did not upgrade shipping). NONE Has good unique effects you can use. The video is good. The microphone is weak. The initial camera I got had such a weak microphone that I required to get within 3 inches and shout to get any audio. I attempted this on 3 diverse computers, and employed 2 diverse programs to record audio, and tested with Skype.I exchanged it for an additional. This one has a somewhat much better microphone but it is still weak. I get acceptable volume if I get inside a foot of the mic, which is absurd for a video camera. I can use it from a distance of 2 feet if I speak loud. I have an additional microphone, so now I use that one with this camera. Otherwise I could invest the rest of my life returning this thing.

The mic is worth the added price. It works perfectly. And the lack of autofocus is a plus, not a minus. Autofocus cameras are continually going all blurry although they make a decision to focus again. Fixed focus is the way to go. Could have a bit much better pivot range, and could mount a bit more securely, but it's superior sufficient.

Excellent webcam, the picture good quality bets every single other webcam i have ever had, (besides my macBook Pro.) i only use it for skype as a mic, but extremely rarely i use it for video calls. (i use my macBook for that) The mic picks up every thing really effectively. i could be a crossed the room and speek in a typical voice and the other person can hear me just as if i was sitting at my desk. Like i mentioned, "The mic picks up every thing incredibly well." that can be a + or -. it does choose up a lot of background sounds, like when you're in a call on skype some folks can hear themselves. Other then that, i'm give the webcam a 4Ǜ just because of the looping sounds. i would give it a 5Ǜ. if it was just a little less on the background sounds. it could also be that i'm utilizing a five.1 yamaha sound program for my audio playback. lol
