light, slick design The keyboard does not function promptly when you first turn on your Pc, it will take at least five second ahead of it starts working ( what's the cause?). Each keyboard and the mouse occasionally quit operating for handful of seconds ƕ - 10 secs). the keyboard is curved a small bit, you may possibly adore or hate it Do not anticipate too considerably from Microsoft name

The keyboard is aesthetic and has a nice touch. Mac compatibility is a plus. Receiving range is far as well short to be useful. Input lag is terrible too. Mouse begins stuttering and keyboard begins missing keys if the receiver is more than 2' away, four' it is nearly entirely. There is a substantial motion delay on the mouse even when the signal is optimal. Tends to make navigating a real discomfort. I bought this to use for my living area television which is hooked up to a pc.

good small mouse and keyboard. Got this for a small media laptop hooked up to the tv. It sits on a coffee table Ӵ' away. It works nicely and responds as expected. I was shocked at how long the batteries have lasted. I've had it for about 7 months and have however to replace them with usage of about three-4 occasions a week for a few hours. none that i have located. don't expect to game with these. They're cheap for a cause. I'm giving it 5 stars due to the fact it functions perfectly for my application. ymmv

Clean, standard styling. Black. I purchased this due to it's styling, getting a basic 3-button mouse, and from getting excellent experiences with Microsoft mice in the past. Excellent keyboard, it has a "soft touch" feel. The Mouse is comfortable and has good button "clicks", and it doesn't "glow" like some mice do. Mouse and keyboard each call for two AA batteries. No LED's on the keyboard (see below). The mouse scrolling is horrible. I'm returning this item simply because of this. At times the scroll wheel works, at times it doesn't. Often as you are scrolling down a web page it will jump back "up" the page so you have to find your place once more. There isn't any consistancy to how the scrolling operates. I have not had any troubles with either the mouse or keyboard disconnecting from the receiver. The keyboard doesn't have "Caps Lock", "Num Lock", or "F Lock" lights on the keyboard. The lights for these functions are situated on the receiver. This may well or may possibly not be a con for you. I'd rather have them on the keyboard, but my receiver is visable on my desktop removing the lights from the keyboard most likely does extend it's battery life a small.

nicely priced, effortless to setup range is less than adequate. utilised it with my netbook which i have hooked up to a big tv in the house. the television is about ten feet with a straight line of sight to the couch and the signal is shotty. mouse scrolling goes in and our and every single 4th or 5th keystroke doesn't register. this is compensated by the lengthy usb cable for the wireless reciever but isnt the point to be wireless?

I like the really feel of the keyboard, it's quiet, the keys are simple to press without having being too easy. When in range, the combo works wonderful but my range died in about 1 week. I usually have the keyboard and mouse about 4-5' (at most) away from the receiver, this worked fine for about a week; now I need to have to have the receiver inside about 1.5-two' for them to even respond. Either range sucks or I got a dud.....The mouse feels kinda cheap and flimsy and it sucks not having navigation buttons on there. If you have this setup on a desk and can location the receiver close to the keyboard and mouse, it ought to serve it's purpose just fine. It does it's job for getting as affordable as it is, just don't program on utilizing it if you want to have any kinda distance from the receiver, in the case of media center PCs and whatnot.

The keyboard looks nice. It is straightforward and clean. The mouse is too. The keys are of decent top quality and quiet. Largest con is the lack of wireless range. You literally get two-3 feet of superior operable range. Any a lot more and you lose signal integrity. The battery covers are a little weak. Construction overall is not leading notch, but it's still a Microsoft product and is therefore made fairly properly. The wireless receiver is massive and ought to be placed close to the keyboard. I purchased this at yet another shop and returned it simply because I required an HTPC keyboard. This didn't work at all from about 15ft.

This setup has been one of my ideal purchases. The keyboard is smooth and the media keys are valuable. The mouse fits my hand very good and has superior performance. Media keys are also customizable and its been superior for gaming. The right support leg on the keyboard broke off and have not identified a replacement. But they break off keyboards if their flimsy like that. Also the wireless hub gets annoying mainly because if your somebody like me that is portable the hub is not precisely what you are searching for. Id rather have a small dongle that can be plugged in and not taken out during transportation. So it loses an egg since of the hub. Overall i would get it once again due to the fact its classic keyboard setup. Small enter button, large backspace. Also the delete important and page keys are in a horizontal setup instead of the common annoying vertical.

Affordable for a wireless setup. Mouse works incredibly well. Regularly disconnects from the receiver, meaning every single few minutes. If you hold a cursor key down, or any key for that matter, for a couple seconds the whole keyboard stops responding. Occasionally it seems to press a key by itself.

Cheap and small. I'm not so sure that Microsoft Hardware is a good thought following this one. Have constantly had semi-reliable connection. Particularly the mouse appears unresponsive at times. But, more lately, the keyboard keys started squeeking. Really annoying. And, right after reading other reviews here, I'm starting to wonder if maybe the recent wireless-router troubles that I've been having aren't triggered by this POJ... No far more Microsoft Hardware for me.

Installs simple, pretty straightforward. Profile and general really feel of keyboard is pretty great. Overall pleased with purchase. Distance not excellent, though. Purchased it for my media center PC. The USB receiver sits in an open, unobstructed shelf of my entertainment center about 6-8 feet away from the couch, and it barely registers. Misses each third keystroke or so and I get cursor movement but mouseclicks don't register. End up leaving the keyboard on the entertainment center shelf and working with it from there just to press play for something as needed. Will replace this with a bluetooth rig for my media center and relocate this to my office personal computer to alleviate some cord clutter.

Absolute Garbage

I had a Logitech set for years until I wore out some keys. I got this nightmare to replace it about a month ago. 1 Scrolling on mouse is worthless very glitchy and rough 2 Keyboard and mouse must be within 3 feet or less of the remote unit. This gives me LESS mobility than a wired keyboard. 3 For no reason the multi window feature will trigger and usually when it couldn't be worse timed. 4 F keys are just ridiculous and not in the correct plac. 5 No wrist rest built in - get ready for carpal tunnel 6 Mouse is as simple as a generic mouse that comes with the PC. Don't bother buying one you can scrounge one up from my trash can just as soon as I replace this nightmare.

Great for the price.

I have had some issues with the track wheel not functioning correctly, it feels like it is sliping - I did fail to contact custoemr service about returning it so I am stuck with it. I purchased a 3000 at that same time and that is a much better combo, but also almost three times the price. I am assuming my issue is an isolated issue, so if you are looking for a good wireless combo and a great price - this is it.

Cheap price for cheap keyboard
Comment:
Keyboard feels extremely cheap. Keys push down inside the base, not level with it, making it extremely uncomfortable. Keys are spongy. Mouse is not bad until you use the scroll wheel. It scrolls rough. Overall I would not recommend this keyboard combo. My Dell stock keyboard is much better than this one. Go with a Logitech

I finally decided to get a wireless keyboard and mouse so i got this one. I really like the keyboard its slim and light you also get 5 favorite keys you can customize at the top of the keyboard. One of the bad things you have to get used to is that the f keys arent in banks of four anymore there all in one line. Another thing im used to is having a sleep button on my keyboard this one dose not have one so i just used one of the customizable buttons for a sleep button. The mouse is OK its kinda on the heavy side also there is no back button or forward button just a scroll. I have had this set for about a month and it has only came disconnected from the receiver like 2 or 3 times. Also i can only use it about 2 or 3 feet away from the receiver. For my first wireless keyboard and mouse its not to bad.

Claims to work up to 6 feet away. It doesn't. Board and mouse must be within 1-2 feet away of receiver. Serves no purpose to have wireless. Wouldn't reccommend.
