Short depth. Lots of space for me. No sharp edges. A single front USB. Bright LEDs. I genuinely like how the prime slide off, incredibly uncomplicated to get in and out of. Dual rear fans Ɣ-pin only) Lots of holes for ventilation. Lots of holes for ventilation tends to make it easy to see the cables inside, better make it neat inside! Screwless cdrom sliding bracket is difficult to take away when slid into spot. not extremely many motherboard mounting hole selections, but they are in the ideal areas for my motherboard. No guidelines, who wants these? Ʉ Installed a taller aftermarket CPU fan (zalman BTF90) and it was way to close to the center two three.5" HDD bays. Fan blades nearly hits the SATA & energy cable for drives forcing me to install drives on the outer two bays.

1. Valuetwo. Number of drive bays.three. Develop high quality is decent...four. Cooling is decent...5. A bottom/side cooled ATX power provide will direct however more air more than the MB. 1. The screws are inexpensive pieces of junk, be careful and go slow so you don't strip out the head. two. Noisy fans.. Very first some hintsɅ. You'll have to remove 27 screws (I counted) to do it, but remove the drive cage fully to install the motherboard. Install CPU, memory, CPU cooler and all MB power wiring prior to placing the drive cage back. This makes the MB installation effortless.two. Those screws genuinely are soft metal, be careful with them. This is a quite higher excellent case for the money. Yes it's a tight match in some methods, but I was capable to get every little thing in. If you're using an aftermarket CPU cooler then it'll be a small bit tighter but....so do your homework on the size of the cooler and how significantly area you'll have.

Quite sturdy, has network LED's, and quite sleek design. On micro ATX cases, it doesn't attach 1 screw at the bottom front corner. Whilst it's ok, when installing an expansion card, be sure not to let it bend the the motherboard too significantly. This case is a incredibly nice case, and heavy as well. Some men and women mentioned you have to dismantle the case to set up a motherboard. You don't require to if you go in at the suitable angle (front side initial, then go below the drive bay a little, then the back).

This case is fantastic! I adore the depth, because this pc is applied to record reside shows, it match's good in a SKB rolling musician's rack case. There's a ton of vents to get the hot air out. Room for four drives and optical. SUPER Uncomplicated to mod. And who can beat ๑ for it? None. It's great for what I necessary. Like every person has stated, the drive bay hangs over the mobo. Just connect all your wires before you install the mobo.

I purchased five of these for a 29ru rack. Appears good and very open for wonderful air flow. I'm very satisfied overall. A few challenges but absolutely nothing significant. The drive bays are appropriate above the motherboard, so hook up what you can just before maneuvering in the motherboard. The front handle bars are too close to the mounting holes... I could only get 3 of the four screws in on every side. If I work at it I'll most likely get them all in. The power/reset buttons are super tiny. Throw out the fans as soon as you obtain it, unless you have this tucked in a sound proof area or a server area far away from you... the noisiest fans I've ever heard. Sure they are higher RPM's but it's overkill for such an open case. The fans aren't even three prong power so you can't plug them into your motherboard... complete speed all the time. I purchased some decrease RPM fans, super quiet with a blue LED... looks SO COOL with five of these circumstances stacked in a rack! I'm not sure how to get rear help to these 15" instances in a 20" deep 4 post rack... I'm afraid of also a lot weight on the front rails.

Smallest footprint of any E-ATX case on the industry. Can be totally disassembled utilizing a Philips head screw driver. Sturdy construction. Case fans move a lot of air with reasonable noise. Inexpensive. Difficult drive bay leaves no clearance above heatsink on Asus KGPE-16D motherboard. Motherboard standoff layout wasn't in-line with all holes on Asus KGPE-16D. I had to dremel a hole in the challenging drive bay above the second CPU heatsink on my Asus KGPE-16D to let it to breath - it worked perfectly. Nevertheless, I nevertheless price this case extremely highly for its good create quality, ease of total disassembly, it's compactness, and low expense. I'll be obtaining a second one for a different server make soon.

Rock Solid, Compact, relatively easy to get it all in there if you've study the other testimonials on the matter of hooking up the mother board Just before you stick it in. Everything's Safe inside, fits nicely into a modest musician's size rack cabinet a small too compact when it's all in there, though I can live with that. the fans even though, are LOUD, a little too loud for becoming in a studio, I may possibly want to purchase silent fans for it I swear I hooked in the front USB port in correct but my camera appears like it's gonna fry itself if I plug it in

Comment:
Pretty properly produced, heavy duty, non-sharp, and strong case. Short depth to match my SKB musicians rack - it's Highly Tough to come across a brief depth case. Soft on/off button alternatively of the tough toggle discovered on practically each and every "server" rack case. No annoying lockable front doors. Essentially if you want a quick depth 4U case that can match a full ATX board this is definitely your only good selection as far as I can tell. A few minore annoyances: Only 1 front USB, no front audio, annoying metal five.25" drive rails (no idea how I'll get the point out), small stingy on screws. The single important concern is that the front drives bays overhang a full ATX board. This causes a lot of troubles, even though nothing that entirely prevents you from utilizing the case. Essentially the drive bay seriously obtructs the front of your board. But it makes plugging cables in difficult (but not not possible). On my GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R I cannot use significantly more than one particular set of super tall OCZ Reapers, the 4th RAM slot is below the drive bay so the OCZ Reaper heat sink is way as well tall. You can not use a XIGMATEK Rifle cooler, it's way as well tall for this case, but the AC Freezer Pro 7 fits fine. Remarkably long depth video cards may perhaps not fit, once more due to the drive bay you only have about 7.five" of depth for the card just before it hits the drive cables in the bay. I just barely match a low end PNY 8400GS in there. I'm extremely pleased with this case. My lengthy list of "cons" may possibly suggest otherwise, but I do like it, especially thinking about the value. It was slightly challenging installing every little thing due to the quick depth restrictions. But some pre-preparing (see under) overcomes that. And hopefully you only have to do that set up after. :) Guidelines for a profitable set up - 1) Connect your front panel wires prior to installing the motherboard two) Connect large power block from power supply prior to installing the motherboard three) Set up CPU and RAM and energy test the board prior to set up four) If pass, install the motherboard (may will need to get rid of RAM to do that) five) set up the energy provide 6) set up the rest of your components and elements.Fundamentally make certain every little thing's plugged in and functioning Before you stick it in the case as it's certainly difficult to get under that drive cage. The final issue you want to have to do is take away your motherboard just after everythings installed and connected.

Comment:
compact rack mount case, low price tag, sturdy, effectively packed for shipment No instructions, which is a huge unfavorable because it is not intuitive at all. This is by far the most complex case I've applied. Anything is challenging to do. It was tough to get open. Tough to close back up. A regular PS wont sit on the bottom and line up with the screw holes - it has to be held slightly off the bottom to screw it in. If you want to use a complete size ATX board, appear for a single that wont be too deep (Gigabyte makes narrow boards). Even the screws and standoffs for the MB are not the typical sizes. I had to use a molex/sata power adapter because the HD and DVD drive can't be placed close enough to use the SATA power connectors from my PS. It was difficult to figure out how the HD and DVD drive mounted (although once figured out, it is a rather clever style). I don't think the dvd drive can be removed when installed. I'm seriously surprised with all the positive evaluations. I've built about 30 computers, so when I say I had difficulty with everything, I'm not precisely a novice. Most of my builds had been with the the complete size Norco rackmount circumstances, which are outstanding. But this time, I required a single that was compact, and this was the only option. In spite of the negatives, this is the only rackmount case I've noticed that is less than 17 inches deep. So if you are restricted by size, you don't have much decision. But if you have the space, definately appear at the complete size Norco circumstances.

Extremely solid really feel to it. I utilized an Intel BOXDG41RQ for the motherboard and it fits perfectly. Board just goes below the hd tray. It would be a tight fit to get a complete ATX board in there and nevertheless be able to reach the power or sata connectors. None.

As other folks have pointed out, this is a nicely-built situation, and as opposed to a lot of other people, it utilizes screws on Everything, creating assembly and modifications very easy. I have this situation and its larger brother (the 450) and both are great values. If you have a extended PCI/PCIe card (like a extended video card or expansion board), it may possibly not match with out modifying the drive cage mounts. If you are uncomfortable with this, I advise seeking at the RPC-450, which adds some added room. This is one particular of the ideal values for the funds. It has turn into my "standard" for an inexpensive rackmount case.

Low cost, spacious, screw-much less HD mounting, pre-installed standoffs as opposed to most cases. Screws are low-cost; just be gentle and they're fine. Only one USB port on front. HDs will hit most(?) total-size(?) PCI cards installed on the motherboard, so are not quickly swappable. I had no complications placing an ATX motherboard, video card and HD in this. Took me about 5 minutes. I replaced the fans per other people' ideas, without ever testing the stock ones for noise.

Space enough for what i am executing which is a router VoIP server. No oversized server boards doable just in case you believed about it. Total sized PSU and CPU fan which is good. Room for four HDDs and a five.25 CD drive with 2 case fans included. I like it for what its gonna do. none 4U but short from front to back that tends to make a it a bit hard to connect cables to the motherboard that are situated under the drive cages.

Small enough to fit in a smaller Gator music gear rack.Straight open airflow, front to back. I would have liked the solution to use two optical drives.Only 80mm fans. 120mm would have been nice. The 80mm fans can be run on low voltage for decrease noise.

This is a wonderful 4U Case. Its got some nice airflow out the back and while its kind of ugly... thats also the great factor about it. It permits some nice airflow in the front with open space. Its also not deep at all which is good for a lot of rack mount purposes. The only cons I see, are not actually cons. I didnt take an egg away mainly because your acquiring a compact 4U case. I use these for surveillance systems and have by no means had a issue till nowadays. You want to be cautious on some of your longer PCI cards and even those that are standard length. One of my PCI cards does not fit, it hits the HD caddy, a different 1 barely fits. But its nevertheless a excellent case. A lot of room inside for wires and challenging drives. Just thoughts your PCI lengths. You won't fit any of the crazy video cards in here.

Pretty sturdy, open airflow Quite tight situation. You have to pull the HDD/DVD mounts out to mount your motherboard, and cable management can be tricky. If you have a large heatsink/fan on your CPU(I have a Zalman), the DVD drive can interfere. I had to snip fins on my cooler and slightly angle it away to maintain the cables from interfering with CPU fan spin.Oh, and the situation screws. In order to get the prime panel off, remove the front panel, and get rid of the HDD/DVD mounting bracket to essentially set up your motherboard or access any memory or cable sockets at the front of the motherboard, you're speaking about 20+ screws. And not hefty screws, but tiny shallow socket flush mount screws that strip out Truly effortlessly, and are not uniform. Retain track of what screws went exactly where or you're going to have some issues. There's only space for 4 HDDs, don't obtain this case expecting high storage capacity. This case could use a different 3-6 inches out the back. It would be very good for a tight installation, or a media center situation(lots of added front plate room for modified installs). It does it's job, but I won't be getting another. As a information center tech, I'm a little spoiled when it comes to great and poor rack situation style. Take my complaints with a grain of salt, as I'm professionally picky in this location. This situation homes my RAID controller system. It's pretty bare bones, so it's not too poor a fit. Anything much more than a couple of RAID controller cards and I would have had complications. Undoubtedly no space for modern day high finish graphics cards, or any other lengthy PCI boards.

1. The reviews given by Newegg clients.two. Compact (fits my homemade DJ Rack/booth)three. I needed compact and gave up on fan for tricky drives, but the air flow is surprisingly great. With two-80mm fans, pwr supply fan and PCI slot mounted fan the air flow and situation temperatures are very good. 1. Screw-much less DVD/CD mounting. (I'll hate it when I need to have to replace my DVD playerƜ. Only one front USB (knew this just before I bought it, but seriously there is sufficient space) I have 3 other rack mount situations, they are easier to perform in, don't have to be concerned about how lengthy my video card and any other card is, they hold far more difficult drives, but I required a compact rack mount case.

Its a solid case, with plenty of space, and slots for various issues. I know i ought to have looked or done more study, but it was needed promptly. Not a con, but they could have added much more three.5 slots, even though you would have to get rid of the mobo to access them and you would loose some ventilation.Im nonetheless really sad i cant place my vid card inIt also offers this wrench that i swear you will never use considering that it fits no screws that are supplied.

Solidly builtEffortless to function withLots of drive bays, expansion slotsBrief-depth (a ought to for my rack)Fantastic air flow With the PSU I have in this (Antec Signature SG650), I can't seem to get an optical drive in and nonetheless have sufficient space for the power/data cable. Perhaps a different drive will function - I have to futz with that more. One of the screws along the side of the cover is stripping in the head on me - could be a bit heftier there.Stock fans are loud. Excellent situation. A lot of space. It comes with 2 built in fans. Motherboard holder come currently installed. Tough drive trays and Optical Drive are effortlessly accessible. Not actually cons, but...I wish the HD & Optical drive tilted up instead of taking the face out. I wish they had installed a Power supply for a couple of dollars far more. It would've still been worth the quantity. It has space for other devices it they re-arranged the HDD tray. Even with a full ATX board there is nevertheless space in this case for other devices.I wish it included documentation, but it's not seriously necessary.
