Noctua NF-P12-1300 CPU Cooler and Case Fan
Comment:
QuietEffortless installationCables None Bought two as rear exhaust fans to go with two Noctua 140s for the front. These fans are quiet, specially if put on the middle RPM by means of mobo or fan controller. The rubber mounts take away any vibration noise. The mounts genuinely are uncomplicated to operate with on a new create with an empty case; could be additional problematic if you are installing with a complete case due to the fact you will need access to pull on the ends. Good extended sleeved and heatshrinked cables.Although several do not like the colors, I consider the colors add a classy look to the solution; like a Rolls-Royce amongst automobiles.

Cons:Fan could be balanced better.

Pros:Nine Quiet blades.Quiet motor with no switching noise.Uses just over 1 Watt at 12 Volts to move 54.3CFM/ 92.3m3/h.Quality plastics and rubber materials.Long wires.Molex and standard 3-pin adapters, mounting dampers, two fixed-speed adapters included. Its sexy in an understated way.
Comment:
Great fan. I couldn't stand stock 70mm fans in my Xbox 360 console. The noise was unnecessary and when they wind up to maximum rpm when the Xbox was hot, the sound drowned out the game and was unbearable. It was akin to a F-4 Jet takeoff mixed with a leaf-blower. After ploughing through hours of online forums, useless meandering, a limited selection of products claiming reduced overall noise (while brandishing pretty LEDs and other useless paraphernalia) in what proved to be a dead end task, I knew what I had to do. Several years ago this console went back to the manufacturer for repairs, and came back with the same heatsink and fan combo. My old PC which is about 14 years of age has the exact same heatsink, and that heatsink is aluminum and only rated for 50W dissipation with convection assistance. If there was a copper one to fit, I'd buy it. Clearly, the "maximum savings!" sirens and strobe lights went off inside the XBox marketing department and someone decided to use a 50W rated heatsink on a CPU that dissipates 100W. No more reeling around the fountain, indeed...In 2009 I purchased two Noctua NF-R8 3-pin fans for my PC and they left an impression. Four years later, they are still quiet with no bearing noise. With this knowledge in hand, and in an utter act of desperation and intrinsic lunacy, I recently purchased a single Noctua 120mm NF-P12 3-pin fan and 12V variable fan speed controller (Item 35790) and installed them on the Xbox 360, and made an improvised shroud internally and externally for it. The DVD drive's first two wires closest to the REAR of the Xbox are spliced as a 12V source and ground, ground being on the outside-most portion of the twin row connector, positive 12V on the inside-most. The noise at full speed is magnitudes lower and I use a variable controller to set the speed where I prefer it, currently about 60-75% full power. The fan is so quiet, that if my stock Xbox was idling at the dashboard screen under a layer of puff blankets and corduroy trousers (see what I did there? :P), it was still leagues louder than the Noctua at full throttle and fully exposed on the rear, and the Noctua is pulling more air while doing it. The new 120mm noctua's blades are actually quieter than the older version Noctua NF-R8 80mm fans, and is quieter than some laptops fans. Good quality appears consistent with that of their previous models. The Noctua's are a stand out product for me because there is no commutator switching noise that normally plagues computer fans, and the fan blade noise is disperse and easier on the ears. It's not silent, but its so much better than it was. They are also very good looking fans. I am glad they did not put a great deal of wasted energy into the fashion component of production, but even so they are not ugly. There is one small caveat: Each of the Noctuas I have owned are slightly out of balance and will enact a lower frequency vibration upon any undamped surfaces onto which they are mounted. To counter this phenomenon Noctua has include rubberized mounts but soft cushion foam is the best isolation material to mount any fan on, when you otherwise have nothing else to hold to. You can then spray-glue the foam to attach aluminum foil or tape to make a damped but flexible air-tight seal. I do not know if there are quieter fans available for the same flow rates, but if there are I would love to try them. In any case Noctua is making a good product that offers competitive flow and low noise. I do recommend!

Cons:The color isn't super nice and the cables for controlling speeds are not labeled

Pros:Excellent cost, very quiet fans, move a lot of air
Comment:
The fans are quite easy to install. They move a lot of air and are very quiet. Sounds like a faint hum. The cables you use to reduce the fan speeds are not labeled which is kind of annoying. I'll have to google which is which if I want to slow down the fans.

It's quiet and moves a moderate amount of air. The cost. I won't lie, the value is really a deal killer. Obtain 1 if you are trying to reduce down on computer system noise. If you have a seriously noisy Pc to begin with, you can locate considerably cheaper fans.

Silent fans that move decent air, total with outstanding accessories--energy adapters, silicone mounts, screws and low-voltage resistors.Funning six of these in an Antec P183, like two on a Noctua HSF. They're not cost-free. If you have a dilemma with the colour scheme of these fans, the marketplace is filled with gaudy, obnoxious fan models with LEDs and garish color schemes so that all your prepubescent friends can see them through your tacky side case windows. For every person else that cares about quiet, solid airflow functionality, these are the greatest fans on the marketplace, bar none.

Silent, moves a lot of air. Nicely sleeved cables, which are lengthy adequate that i really had to cable tie them at about half the length. Ugly as sin... these actually couldn't clash much more with fairly much any colour scheme i've ever observed.Clearly a bit pricey Use two of these attached to my H50 radiator block. Since I put these on all at when with the H50 I can't say who gets the credit, but combined they are keeping the X6 rig plenty cool even below complete load tests, when OC from 2.eight to three.6.

This fan comes with plenty of mounting hardware and connectors to set distinct RPM speeds 鿄񳀼񳄄). I applied the fans native connector which provides me 1300 RPMs. Utilizing this fan configuration cut the noise level in half on my program. I could likely get quieter if I applied the lower fan speeds. I knew these would be quiet mainly because IBN (Big Blue) makes use of this style fan ((w/ Vortex-Control Notches)) in their Servers. And IBN do their investigation just before any item release. I replaced the 3 120 mm cheesy blue LED fans in my case. The case fans were just to noisey. This, in my opinion,,, was worth every penny... No Color Choices. You can Barely see the fans by means of my black mesh grill. I wanted them to match the grill. Possibly I need to have just painted the fans myself. Antec 900 case, Antec TPQ-850W PSU, Asus M3A32-MVP-Deluxe MB, 4X1GB Corsair Memory, Sapphire Vapor-X 4890

This is a good quality item that runs very quietly even though delivering serious air flow. I just spent 񘘐 on a laptop or computer method and I trust Noctua Coolers to retain my parts cool. I've purchased around a dozen of these over the previous couple of years and I've by no means had a single fail. They aren't cost-free ;) As always Newegg has exceeded my expectations with their super quickly shipping. When they say "it" will be there on a certain date, they mean it. Things are always very well packaged. I've produced the mistake of trying other nicely identified parts supplier and was very disappointed with shipping delays and poor packaging. Plus the few things that I've ever had to return to Newegg had been handled speedily and I felt they had been carrying out every thing they could to make me happy

Comment:
A quiet fan of high good quality that is apparent quickly upon removing it from the packaging. The temperature in my case has dropped much better than 10° F given that installing this fan along with four Noctua NF-R8-1800 80mm fans that I purchased as effectively for my case. These fans replaced the dying fans in my RaidMax Smilodon case and it is far quieter than with any of the other fans I've applied in it prior to. [Note: I am running these w/o utilizing the integrated speed reducers given that this is a gaming rig but still a extremely quiet operation.]Oh ya; Warranty: 6 years, speaks for itself.Personally, I like the color of these fans; though, I think it would be far better for Noctua to create a range of colors because folks can be really finicky about the look of their case.If you want a quiet, cool case then look no further! None. It seems that some people like to interchange the terms 'Quiet' and 'Silent' as if the words were synonymous. There is no such factor as a 'silent fan' other than that fan which has turned OFF or has seized, uncomplicated as that. Moreover, for the few men and women that have an issue with the cost of these fans vice other fans, its all about the excellent. This is neither the common sleeve-bearing fan nor is it a ball-bearing fan. This fan makes use of a self-stabilizing oil-pressure bearing in order to present not only low noise but longevity as nicely. If you make the choice to purchase these fans then it is not fair to rate them down mainly because you don't like the price tag afterwords. That is not a 'con' what-so-ever. They do what they had been designed to do and they do it really nicely. There is a quite very good cause why there are 'cheaper' fans readily available... there when was a automobile readily available named 'Yugo' but there nevertheless is a automobile available named 'Lamborghini'!

Cons:None at all

Pros:Amazing case fans and I'm just excited

I just got these fans, 5 of them and they are amazing. Can't hear a thing and I have them controlled by NZXT Mesh. Moves a lot of air. Huge difference between these (4 in use) compared to the 200mm that came with my HAF XM. I ordered too many, well 1 more than I needed. Now I'm going to customize my case and place it on top to make it 3 and maybe get 2x140mm and mount them on the side panel.

Comment:
Silent OperationLow Vibration w/ integrated mountsHigh flow / Noise ratio (See cons) Fan nevertheless has difficulties with pressure. It's better than the "S", but nevertheless not as excellent as some other fans (such as the Scythe S-Flex). This tends to make it significantly less valuable as an intake (with filter) and heatsink fan, but fairly very good for an exhaust fan. If you're going for silence, and you know how to Spot the fan properly, it can make a fantastic addition to your case. On the other hand, it really should be noted that the pressure drops substantially when airflow is obstructed.

Coming from a Lian Li with a window and all aluminum fans, I wanted a silent, cold make with no water. I opted for these (sorry Newegg, got them elsewhere before they had been accessible right here), instead of the stock fans on my Antec P182, and over the "quieter" Noctua fans. If you appear at the graphs on their site, they show a line graph with both of their fans, and where they overlap as fan as noise and CFM. These, undervolted, produced less noise at the same CFM rating, but can go higher, rather of the other folks, which can actually only go reduce and generate much less CFM. For the noise, they do push air...that's not a lie. These are quiet, and they cool. I did uncover them more affordable when I got them, along with the heatsink (NH-U12P). two in a push-pull config on the heatsink, and filling the case with the rest, with an Athlon X2 6400+ BE...I managed to break 3.4GHz on air...not an uncomplicated process. I like them. Value and color. These are not low-cost right here, however. ษ for a fan...ouch. Worth it for a quiet air construct though, even though a great watercooling process with these as support would save a few bucks. And if any person is developing some sort of colored theme on the inside, (windowless case for me, acoustic foam I added, and so forth...went for a silent, cold develop, and I won), no offense Noctua, but the color is...ughhh. Maroon and tan? Unless your Computer is earth-toned, they won't look proper. AMD Athlon 6400+ BE - Complete Load with Orthos @ three.4GHz, never broke 50* C with the heatsink and these fans. And for any person who has of knows this processor, they know how substantially it sucks to overclock, and how hot it runs. Unfortunatly, I can't go any larger. Holding off until AM3 drops a tiny, and a far better quad-core comes out..apparantly there's a limit of Computer-1066 DDR2 on the Phenom II X4 940 of two sticks in dual channel...there goes my new setup.
