Comment:
Quieter that OEM fans. Solid construction. Adapters for those that can not connect to MB to manage speed/ noise. Rubber mounting or screws ... take your choose. Moves a lot of air without having the sound of a jet turbine in your case Rubber mounting can be trying if installing in existing smaller case program. Replaced current Antec fan in case with this 1 and two Noctua NF-B9-1600 92mm Case Fans. Very pleased to let the MB now handle the fans and get rid of the noise and 3 button switch hanging out the back of the case. For the rubber connectors.. I found a little KY on a Q-tip assists to ease them into those tight areas.

Noctua NF-P12-1300 CPU Cooler and Case Fan
Cons:-Not "ultra quiet"-Expensive

Pros:-High Quality-Excellent hardware included-2 included resistor-based speed controllers
Comment:
I bought two of these for my HTPC thinking they would be "ultra quiet" but they are a little bit misleading in that department. They can indeed be nearly silent, but you need to use the strongest (slowest speed) resistor extension to get the speed low enough for them to be truly inaudible. I found the air movement at this speed to be so minimal that I didn't even bother installing the fans. Air movement without any resistors installed was pretty good, but the fans are definitely loud enough to be heard, even from across the room. These are excellent desktop or gaming fans where silence is (arguably) not as big an issue. They certainly aren't "loud" fans, they just aren't as quiet as I expected. Quality of the fans is obviously top knotch and I would expect a very long service life. They include excellent quality rubber mounts to keep the vibrations to a minimum. 4/5 stars.

Comment:
The moved air in proportion to the noise is phenomenal. The acoustics of the noise are very harmonic. At the low noise setting, it's amazingly quiet. With other fans installed, I can't hear the difference in this fan plugged in or not plugged in. Ideal fan I've ever owned. NONE. These are way much better than the 14 inch version in terms of noise. At the low noise setting on this fan, rated at 16.9 dba, it's quieter than the ultra low noise of the 14 inch version, rated at 10.1 dba. I have 2 of these in my case, and four of the 14 inch version. I run these at low noise, supposedly 16.9 dba, and the 14 in at ultra low noise, supposedly ten.1 dba. I can unplug 1 of these, and not notice the difference. Unplugging the 14in I can hear a noise drop.

Pros:-Quiet-Inexpensive
Comment:
I can't count how many times I've used Noctua fans in the systems I've built. They're simply amazing. They moved a good amount of air and make almost 0 noise. I currently have a few of these running on their max setting in my case and I can only hear my graphics cards. The only bad thing I could possibly say about these fans is that they're ugly, but they make up for it in performance.

Noctua NF-P12-1300 CPU Cooler and Case Fan
Cons:The price can be a deal-breaker considering similarly-performing fans often sell for half the price.

Pros:* Very quiet, pleasant sound* Good performance and highly reliable* Included accessories are very useful
Comment:
I have several of these fans, and several years of experience with them. I can say that they DO live up to expectations: as quiet as its competitors, give or take (there are some other really quiet fans out there). However their touted special harmonics really are something, IMO, these fans are much easier to listen to than other ones. The fans also age extremely well. My oldest one of these that I've been running for most of three years runs every bit as quietly as it did when I got it.-1 star primarily because one of my fans has been leaking oil. I haven't heard of this happening before though, so it might be an isolated issue.

What I expected. Right after all I have purchased over 20 of these all for personal use. none If there were additional sizes from Noctua I would buy them all. I would wait for them to be in stock with NewEgg due to the fact I am loyal to Newegg.

Rather with excellent airflow, and included PWM Ɣ-pins). Pricey This fan is great and really too; but there are other PWM fans that are just as great as this one and that are cheaper too. My favorite getting GELID Solutions FN-PX12-15, newegg item number N82E16835426015.

Comment:
It's installed as an intake fan (after a filter). It's so incredibly quiet even without utilizing the included sound/speed adapters. I looked at it and felt the airflow to make sure it was operating! So quiet! I ensured my mobo's temp alarms are enabled and operating, which is really superior than my old way of assuming temps were fine since I could hear the fans.

Noctua NF-P12-1300 CPU Cooler and Case Fan
Cons:Unremarkable colours, cable may be short in some cases

Pros:High quality, well designed, efficient
Comment:
One of the main problems with many fans, is that they try and design their fans to work well as both a case fan, and a 'restrictive airflow' (like a CPU cooler) fan. When you do this you end up with a product that doesn't excel at either role. The NF-P12-1300 is designed for use in situations where you need high static pressure, like a CPU cooler or other situation where it is hard to push air through. This fan is NOT designed to be used as a case fan in an unobstructed opening. If that is your need look into the Noctua NF-S12B, which is designed for that purpose. In my case I used this as a case fan, although it was because the case design in my circumstance had the front case fan in an enclosure so that there are literally only six 1/2" small holes for air to get through to the hard drives. The design of this part of my case is poor, and I needed a high pressure fan to get air through the small openings, something I hadn't had very much success with using other fans.As soon as I installed this fan my SMART temps on the hard drives dropped by 10 degrees. About the only issue I had was that since I am using an E-ATX case, the fan cable didn't reach the motherboard header. While I could have used the included molex adapter, I just whipped out a small 3" extension and I was good to go. I suspect most people will have no problem with standard cases.Even so, the fan is certainly worth the money, and the 6 year warranty lets you know you are getting a product the manufacturer is willing to stand behind. This is the last fan you will need.

Pros:QuietFlexibly of installation
Comment:
I bought these to make my case quieter and they work great. They do not more very much air so don't rely on them for extreme cooling. I have 4 of these in my system and it is noticeable. keep in mind that your system can only be as quiet as the loudest component, so buying these fans may not be the solution.

Cons:The rubber grommets/pull screws are ugly brown. Really? It's a 70s design color.

Pros:Quiet at full speed. Moves a large volume of air.

I bought two of these fans for my Obsidian 800d. Oriented at the top of my case in a pull (on to CPU fan) and push (drawing air from the bottom of the middle cooling zone) I've lowered my max Prime95 temperature from 64oC to 57oC. My system is i2500k at 4.9 ghz and 1.3 Vcore.I couldn't recommend these enough.

Many people complain about the colors of Noctua's products. This is the branding the company decided. My 2 cents is that no products in computing hardware is using these colors, it makes it very original and stands out in your build. If you're not happy, get a paint can, sand the plastic and turn everything black.

I have four of these on dual Xeon machine. 2 per CPU cooler. You can't even hear them with the case open. Case closed, 30°C idle, 54°C at full scream. It makes less noise at max effort than my notebook does.I have an Intel Workstation (also dual CPU) on the next desk over that is a number of times louder. I'm acquiring a lot more of these Noctuas to fix the Intel now. WTH is it with the Brown? I could recognize "putty" but brown? Was that color of plastic on sale at 1ǘ price?Need to have come with a protector screen. It's not going to take your finger off, but for ษ it need to be complete.

Comment:
-well built-quiet-terrific airflow, in particular considering the sound-silicone pegs-two resister fan cables for lower rpms (total of three speeds)-cables are nicely sleeved -while silicone pegs are terrific they are fairly brief, generating it difficult to use unless you have alot of space near the installation area, When i moved it to the back of my case i had to use screws.-pricey, its a premium fan -color is special which may well not work for some men and women ultimately used it as a case exhaust fan. I purchased it with a zalman fan so I can kinda compare them and liked each. It would of been ideal if the silicon peg was longer so I could get it to mount it on my p180 case. Its not straightforward with brief pegs when the mobo and case frame is the way.

I am using 2 of these fans as a push pull set up along with my corsairs H50. It's been running fast and quiet. These fans run a lot better than my previous coolmaster R4-L2R-20AC. The extra accessories this product comes with is also a great plus although I couldn't use them in my set up. Great product for the price.
