Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:It's big, will not fit over tall memory modules and some small cases.

Pros:Super simple installation, great design, comes with very good thermal paste.
Comment:
Keeps my new 2600K nice and cool at idle and under load. Not much else to say, if you can get over that fact that the fans are beige and brown, get this cooler. It's magnificent!

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Comment:
Keeps my core i7-2600K at about 60C-63C under full Prime95 load at 4.3GHz for hours and hours. It literally makes no distinction in temp between full speed on the fans and with the resistor cables in. Under regular CAD workloads temps are always in the 30's or 40's. Really big. Barely fit over my RAM one way and hit my graphics card the other way. I'll bet if you didn't overclock you could run fan-much less with this thing.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:-its huge installing and wiring in a mid tower case took awhile-never really was a fan of brown and light brown color scheme though-would probably not buy unless its on sale

Pros:-clearance room for my ram-could be quiet for decreased performance-looks amazing-got on sale
Comment:
I got this to replace my cooler master 212. I wanted to upgrade because my 212's fan was not positioned right because my ram's heat sink was too tall. However the nh-d14 fixed that. Overall temperature has dropped around 3-5 degrees.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:may not fit all motherboards and cases because of it's size

Pros:Amazing cooling potentialeasy to install
Comment:
This is one GIANT heatsink. And I mean GIANT - biggest I have ever seen. It might not fit in a lot of cases out there. I've got the NZXT Phantom and it fits nicely, HOWEVER, I am unable to use a side fan in the case. There's simply not enough room. There might also be a problem mounting it to your motherboard, as it covers a large section around the CPU. In my case the 1 RAM slot closest to the CPU are totally covered by the heatsink, meaning you can't take the stick out or put it in without first removing the heatsink - ANNOYING if you're having a ram problem. the other 3 slots on my board are clear, UNTIL you attach the outside 120mm fan to the heatsink. Then they are fully covered by this thing. Luckily the heatsink is extremely simple to setup. Once the bracket is screwed in place, it's just a matter of adjusting 2 screws to get the tower heatsink part on and off. So if you do need to change the ram in that first slot, there's no MAJOR issue. you'll just need to make sure you have lots of thermal compound around in case you need to do it a few times. And as for the other 3 slots being covered by the fan...these fans are EXTREMELY easy to get on and off.Noise: at default these fans are actually pretty loud compared to the silenx fans I'm used to in the past. But if you use the included low noise adapter, it's fine.performance: this thing took my i5 2500K up to 5Ghz TOTALLY stable. OUTSTANDING!!And as a special bonus the heatsink comes with a tube of noctua's excellent thermal paste. This stuff performs on par if not better than arctic silver. It's the best of the best.Noctua also includes mounts if you decide to only use a single fan configuration you can still use the other fan as a case fan. Bonus!

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Price. There are good performing heatsinks out there for a fraction of the price. At this level, a little improvement costs a lot.

Pros:Comes with 2 noctua fans.Looks cool (IMO)
Comment:
This heatsink is massive. I think that summarizes it. Keeping my q6600 much cooler than my core contact freezer.

SilentCoolGreat sale price compared to the other giants out thereSimple to install - even you could do it.Comes with great ULNA's and Thermal Paste, a Noctua badge, they really dont skimp on the packaging (all recyclable cardboard) or the accessories. u 59.99 its a steal, knocked off 10*C at load from my Hyper 212+ which i still love and use on all of my other rigs that don't require me to push the CPU's. All in All Great Purchase.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:This is not really a con, just a warning. The heat sink is large, very large. Make sure you get measurements prior to purchasing to ensure that you will have a nice fit.

Pros: This cooler is phenomenal! I am using with an AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE. With the stock cooler, I was running at 45c idle and 55-58c at load, OC'd at 3.8 GHz. Now, I'm OC'd to 4.0 GHz, with idle temps at 35-38c and load temps less than 50c!
Comment:
Because of the way this unit installs, you may have issues with the second 120mm fan fitting over your memory heat sinks. I would recommend utilizing the motherboard/RAM compatibility list on Noctua's website to make sure that this unit is compatible with your set up.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:So big... had to cut (Dremel) a few blades on it to fit my RAM modules heatsinks under.

Pros:Best cooler around
Comment:
WILLFI: You don't need the 4 pins connector to control RPM. Simply select  "VOLTAGE" mode instead of "PWM" in BIOS. This will use the power pin to control the fan instead of the PWM input pin on the 4 pins connector. I have 5 Noctua fans on my system, 4 of which are speed controlled. And none are 4 pins! Cons:Quite large and expensive.

Pros:Powerful cooling.
Comment:
This is one big cooler. So big it gets in the way of my RAM and southbridge heatsink. But other than the size issue, this is one of the best cooler. I changed the fans configuration to three low speed fans. The cooler is now dead silent but still keeps my overclocked CPU very cool.

Comment:
i bought this with a combo deal for the i7 950. I've seen it come up once in a while, and since the i7 950 sells for aout 280 in Canada, the fan was practically free. You can profit if you just bought the deal and sold both the CPU and fan at retail value. As for performance, it runs really well and keeps my i7 950 at 4.0GHZ with hyperthreading and turbo boost 45 - 50 on idle and 65 at maximum load. I could go higher, but I'm not that experienced as an overclocker and not really looking to run this CPU at 4.5 or over (safety reasons).

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:No PWM on Fans included.

Pros:Excellent Cooling ability. Fit's (barely) inside a standard case.
Comment:
Bought this cooler to replace a 212 Plus on my 2600K setup. Very Capable cooler. Surprised that it didn't include PWM Fans - so I couldn't use Asus Q-Fan to control speed based on temp. Without this it didn't offer me much improvement as I like it Quiet when surfing - using the ULNA made it quiet but limited the cooling under load. Ended up replacing with another cooler!

Beautiful product. Comes all ready to go and installation is a piece of cake. The packing was excellent and way everything was presented made me a big fan of Noctua. Fits nice and snug in most modern cases and performance wise it keeps up with my former H70 with fans on low.

My system gets warm due to the fact that it is made for silent computing and has foam insulation on the panels and the front. Even so, my machine idles at 42 degrees system temp and 38-39 CPU-which is very good given the conditions. Very happy with this cooler.

If you want the best, you have to pay for it !Got this huge thing and put it in my HAF X case, no problem with fitting on Gigabyte P67A-DS4, even with G.Skill Ripjaws X ram (you can use all dimms).Just begun to overclock my 2600K, first easy obverclock at 4Ghz gave my a Prime load temperature of about 52 celcius which is very good at stock cpu voltage.Bought a Kazemaster to keep control of the fans and temperature in the case with probes included.Very good product from Noctua again, the kit includes everything for all configurations. If you want performance only, got for a cheaper product, this one is one of the best performance to noise ratio performer, THAT'S IT !

got this cooler to replace a noctua se2 cooler and my cpu now runs 10-15c cooler. the fans came fully mounted which was a bit of a surprise considering you have to remove them to install the cooler which was weird, maybe to save space who knows. with this cooler i get 35-40c idle and 65-70c full load with my cpu running 4.2ghz ht at 1.3v. the best replacement for those like me who are not willing to spend $200 on liquid cooling.

Probably the next best thing until you hit a watercooling setup. The heatsink is massive so beware if you choose to use taller ram as the fan or tower will most likely be in your way.
