Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons: Price(but worth it for a good system)

Pros: Great coolerSilentEasy to applyBoth AMD and Intel compatible
Comment:
This thing is as good as it get for quiet highly effective CPU coolers. The system went on hard to mount my case and mobo combo made it so I had to unscrew the mobo to mount it. Not the fault of the cooler. Setup was easy for the intel mount (1366). AMD looks just as simple. Had to reverse the flow and placement of the fans so to my x56 mobo/case. Have the HAF 932 has great amounts of room and the mobo north bridge heatsink gets in the way evga 3-way sli classified. All around great at stock keeps my cpu at 19 degrees Centigrade(i7 960). Only real problem would be lack of room in a person's case. It also blocked off my first RAM slot, but I have 6gb and can still put 4 more inside.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons: - This thing is big ! Massively big !

Pros: - Best Heatsink on the market
Comment:
You will need to have a good case to install this and check that you have enough space around it so that you don't block the ram or anything otherwise this heatsink is just impressive, running it on my i7 920 and it runs so cool. This is the heatsink to buy if you want to overclock using air.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons: Expensive, very large and possible installation issues.

Pros: Easy to install, quiet and keeps cpu very cool.
Comment:
I bought one of these for a core I5 matx computer. I used an asus GENE III motherboard and my ram JUST fit underneath the heatsink. It keeps my CPU around 22C no overclock and i haven't had it go past 65C while stress testing my cpu overclocked at 4ghz.I'd recommend to anyone who can fit it.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons: Its huge its not going to fit in all cases. Before buying this I highly advice you to check noctuas compatability page on their site. fans are kinda ugly but Noctua goes for performace over looks

Pros: low noise, Great cooling, perfect for overclocking, great accessories with the kit example top of the line thermal paste.
Comment:
This heat sink is massive and the fans are kind ugly, but this unit sure does what it is suposed to do, keep your cpu cool. Noctua goes for performace over looks. It has low noise levels, and adapters for even lower levels. I have a AMD Phenom II 965 125W 3.4GHZ and at idle it is 27C and load 38c. I haven't overclocked yet, but I am sure I will have great results, seeing all the good reviews. The unit smells of quality as soon as you take it out of the box.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons: -Needed to remove DIMM Heat spreaders on Corsair Dominator-Large

Pros: -Great Air Flow-Easy Installation-MUCH Better than expected Cooling-Comes with Thermal Paste-Easy to understand instructions-Feels solid-Cools chipset somewhat
Comment:
This heatsink is the best on the market.Implementing a push-pull design, not only does it do its job effectively, it cools most things around it as wellComes with a detail instructions, to assist in the Installation which was EASIER than Intel's stock design, believe it or notProbably the best heatsink out there. While I did need to remove my Corsair Dominator's heat spreaders on the first 2 DIMMs, the fan on the right side more than makes up for it, cooling them immensely.Only concern would be space requirements on Mobo/Case. Noctua has a comprehensive Motherboard compatibility, if it isn't listed (As was my R3E motherboard), a quick email, and they respond quickly and politely. As for the case... Probably wouldn't recommend for a smaller Mid-Tower, if at all.

Cons: UglyMassive

Pros: CoolEasy to installVery secured mountTwo fans included
Comment:
Very massive heatsink but gets the job done. My core i7 is OC'd to 3.8GHz. Load temp is 63c.This heatsink is massive so you can't use ram with tall heatspreaders on them and it probably won't fit into small cases.

Nice piece
Comment:
This performed better than a 120mm liquid radiator set up. With a i7 chip slightly oc'd I would idle around 28c and full load prime95 around 65c. But just bear in mind this thing is huge! In fact the case can press on it and warp the motherboard or processor. Also I used it in a E... classified board and the memory chips are in the way of normal operation, As well as the various heatsinks on the mb. I needed to either bend this product slightly (with decreased cooling) or cut it. Cutting an inch off the fins in certain spots to make it fit did not decrease cooling power much, compared to bending the heat sink. You will be able to OC a i7 into the 4-4.5g range without overheating. Also it is very quiet. Best non-liquid option out there. Just make sure you have a massive case or you'll be cutting this and that.

Cons: Setup takes some time

Pros: VERY COOL, constant 26 degrees (WITH 1 FAN ONLY)Insane weight and sizeSecurely on motherboardGreat instructions and manual guideHigh quality metal double fins
Comment:
It was so good, my best friend came over and ripped it off my computer and stole it home. Now I am no longer friends with my previous "best friend".But seriously, I was using this only with the 140MM fan because my motherboard fan controller was faulty. With this problem I still got under 26 degrees all the time with a i7 860 CPU!! Amazingly cool and quiet, very worth the buy. I would depend on this than any other coolers in the under $100 category (even water cooling).

Shipping: I bought this cooler on April 13, 6h30PM, i got it delivered on April 16 11h30 AM, witch is pretty fast since i live pretty far! The Cooler: Awesome result with my i7 950! With the stock cooler i was reaching 95C in about 5 min. With this, i never reached more than 65 even after about half an hour of prime95 testing! I'm really happy! Also, everything you need is in the package, thermal grease, screws, fans, backplate, etc. Was pretty easy to install and work great. I don't use the speed reductor and it make less noise than the stock cooler! The only drawback is the price, but it is a good investment for your cpu life, and a top quality cooler!

for my new pc I've take the decision to retry air cooling. (I've get one pc water cooled and lot of air cooling) but this beast..... wow its the best cooler for price (yeah water cooling MAYBE better but cost much) I've got my I5 750 at 4.2Ghz and full load stress test it never go higher than 65 C. and my cpu is right in the front of heater plate (temps of the house 23 in kitchen... room aprox. 25)... all of this to say WOW noctua strike hard with all their wonderful and insane product. great quality and the best fan in the world for me, but also the uglyest color lol. but its personnal. for cons. who said big, said some problem. dont fit with any case, and to much memory restriction. noctua give a list of compatibility so check it before buying. I have to put off my heatsink on my dominator gt.... but it seem to work very great. ha yes! it look really heavy and some people may be affraid to broke their MB. but noctua said they make test and the not got problem. so anjoy this beast!!

Amazing for Air Cooler!
Comment:
This thing is the absolute best air cooler that you can buy right now. It compares with water cooling. I upgraded from my V8 based on another user's opinion. I had no idea how much of a difference this made to my load temps. At 3.6 my i7 doesn't get above 58C while running prime95 stress tests. It is big though, but that is to be expected for it to work this well. Highly recommended!

Pros: Cools like no other, beats my h50 by 11C. removing my S flex F has made my pc a lot more quiet!

Awesome cooler
Comment:
This thing is enormous. Had to RMA mine as it was a tad warped when i received it. RMA was painless and I had my new cooler in just a few days. Comes with a first class set of accessories and mountings for just about every board type you can think of, medium and low speed connections, a y splitter to run both fans off of one fan header and even a screwdriver. Also includes their best thermal paste which ranks a bit higher then those other guys top ranking paste. A bit high in price compared to some coolers but when you consider the quality fans that it comes with, it actually comes out cheaper.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Noctua must have signed a pact with the devil?

Pros:Extremely quietDissipates insane amounts of heat
Comment:
The first thing you'll notice is the insane size and weight of this fan - I don't think this will fit into any case smaller than a full tower - it really is worth the size, this heatsink brought my temps down 15-20 degrees Celcius on load and idle, and looks sexy in my case. Noctua has me as a lifetime customer now, they really are committed to quality.

Comment:
People should be warned about the size of this heatsink. For one it does not fit in a p193. I don't see many cases that it would fit other than a full tower case. overall nice heatsink, massive size is a downer though.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Fan size ratio

Pros:Large radiator for good heat dissipationSolid high quality fansEase of installationSilentAll required materials included
Comment:
Performance is outstanding, considering that the amd phenom 2 955 stock fan was throttled to 3700 rpms on idle a noise nuisance. The heat sink works so well that the fans don't spin up, it is acting as a passive cooler. A tip for those installing the heat sink, give the rubber vibration-compensators strips a slight twist so they don't fall out when attaching the fans.

Cons:-fans look abit ugly-installing it was a bit annoying

Pros:-keeps i7 920 cool even when overclocked-quiet
Comment:
First time building a computer, I chose this heatsink over the megahalems because of availability. It was abit of a pain to install because one of the screws is under a fan. Very quiet heatsink, and cools the processor pretty well. It fitted in my antec 1200 case.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Height, depth and weight. If you are using RAM with big heat spreaders, you might need to remove the "outside" fan.

Pros:Excellent cooling performance, dual fans by default, excellent mounting system for i7 1156 and 1366. Very quiet and extremely well packaged and contstructed. Fans can be swapped out for even better performance, including a 38mm on the outside fan. Looks good. Could double as a weapon.
Comment:
I would say I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.I installed this on my i7 860, and used the stock mounting system/backplate and the regular fan adapter and have been wholeheartedly impressed. It also comes with a low noise fan adapter which I'm not using. I have the i7 860 running at 4.0 ghz/200 BCLK/vcore 1.35/VTT 1.325, and with a Hyper 212+ with two 90 CFM fans on it, was hitting between 82 and 83 celsius at full load on the hottest core. With this unit I have not exceeded 77 degrees celsius with both fans on, and 80 celsius with only the single middle fan on. Very impressed with these temps running Prime95 Max FFT. In regular use I have not exceeded 73 celsius on any cores playing games or doing CPU folding, which is great. I would say it rivals or exceeds the Prolimatech Megahalems in cooling ability. I also noticed my VREG temperatures were a bit lower on my EVGA P55 FTW with this cooler, due to the fact that the middle 140mm fan seems to spray air outside the edges of the back "tower" of the cooler.Right now I'm using it with G.SKill F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL kits and I had to unclip the outside fan to get the first DIMM in, but the fan can be slid up and further away from the motherboard to allow clearance for the increased height of the memory heat spreaders. Alternatively if you are using Corsair Dominators or OCZ Reapers/Blades, you'd likely have to remove the outside fan and either A) Go with a 92MM, orRun with only the middle fan.Altogether this cooler is well-constructed, really nicely packaged, and even though it's a bit expensive compared to others, you have a solid cooling solution that you don't have to mod or buy extras for top-notch performance.

Cons:Cost

Pros:Excellent CoolingGreat mounting setupQUIET
Comment:
If you're buying this cooler you're not in the market for a budget setup so cost is not a true weakness. Installation on my Gigabyte X58A-udr3 was easy. The only frustration came when I was remounting the middle fan and the silicon dampening strips kept sliding out of place. Just a minor irritant, nothing real to gripe about. Cooling is excellent. I idle in the 28-32 range and under load (OCCT 8 threads 100% load) I haven't managed to push any core over 47 degrees (stock i7 D0 920). Even comes with a great thermal compound and simple instructions.

Cons:-I had some trouble to install it on my old dell computer's motherboard but I guess it's not the cooler's fault-it's really big

Pros:-very good performances-I like the fact that you can add an extra fan on it-nice looking
Comment:
This heatsink is a must have for your computer. I changed my stock intel cooler for this new one and it was totaly worth it. It may be big but it dropped my cpu (intel quad core 2.4mhz) by 10 degrees. My processor is currently running at 25 degrees celcius. I was not really sure if it was worth 90$ when I first looked at it but I got it on sale at 75$ so it convinced me to buy it. Thank God! I would purchase it again.
