Comment:
Actually wonderful functionality with Oc'd 2600k. Capable to overclock to 4.7Ghz comfortably.I replaced an existing Watercooled setup with this and am truly pleased to leave the WC hassle behind and get wonderful functionality like this. Its scary Large - can block memory slots and has some difficulties with MB heat sinks in certain configurations. Just fyi. CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB(massive heatsinks) will match with Noctua NH-D14 and ASUS P8P67 Deluxe LGA 1155. Blocks the initially mem slot and you want to shift the heatsink fans to the opposite side. Still works and looks good

Low noise and great cooling. I7 2600k @ four.7ghz one hundred% load at 63C. The fan clamps are a discomfort to access as soon as its mounted, on the other hand I feel it may well be my case.

Dropped my i7-870 from 40C idle to 20-23C. Fits my EVGA P55 LE mobo. If I had to feel of a con, it would be that I had to take away the side fan on my Antec 900 case. You won't be disappointed in this cooler, just make certain you verify the mobo compatibility on Noctua's web site before purchasing. As it's been stated 200+ instances, this issue is huge.

I'm very pleased with the air cooling performance and it fits with my LGA1155 without any issues. One of my favorite pick for high end performance air cooling that runs nearly silent.

This issue is attractive! Top rated excellent supplies! The packaging and directions are hands down the greatest I've ever noticed. Person guidelines and packaging clearly labeled for Intel and AMD removes any confusion on bracket forms and hardware mix ups. It operates smoothly and quietly with the supplied fans in push pull. It's Big, but I knew that going in so I won't deduct an egg. If you do your homework their should be no issues mounting this cooler. Individuals who complain about its size, and it not fitting clearly didn't appear at the specs prior to getting. The only True con I can think of is the fans colour. Tan? Truly? These fans are hideous! I'll be swapping them out at a later date so deduct a single egg for obtaining to spend more dollars to replace the ugly fans. Other than the fan colour I have no difficulties with this cooler. I've applied the True, the H-50, and a couple of other people, in previous builds and so far this cooler has beat them hands down in terms of quality, ease of installation, and performance.

This cooler is certainly outstanding, I have overclocked the 2600k to four.5 ghz and have had to up the voltage to 1.4 and running Prime95 for hours the highest it will get is 60C.It was very simple to set up in the 1155 socket. None. The factor is Large I had to align the fans vertically as an alternative of horizontally to make room for my ram on the Gigabyte UD4 board. It does cover one particular of my PCI-E slots, on the other hand I'm only using a single so that's okay.It had no dilemma fitting in a HAF X case. I read earlier that an individual had difficulties with the side fan on the case with the HAF X and I don't know how that is feasible.

When I upgraded to Intel's impressive Sandy Bridge from the Core2Quad, the very first factor I ensured was that the Noctua would match the new motherboard - because there was no way I was leaving it behind. It fit, and the final results continue to impress. The i2500k idles at 16c, yet beneath complete load at three.8gHz hovers about 31c. Wonderful! There can be no complaints: This is a CPU cooler and it is meant to cool - which it does flawlessly. These who knock off an egg mainly because of it's colour, or size, or noise, only reveal their personal ignorance. This is a CPU cooler not a style show. It is sufficiently eye-catching and gets the job done. Some have mentioned "noisy fans"; The fans are not even close to noisy, but with no the Low-Noise-Adapters they are audible. Use the LNAs, sacrifice 1-two° of temp, and you have quietness. If you nevertheless have "noise" then you have a cheap case - it's not the Noctua's fault.A couple of reviews mentioned larger than anticipated temps. May I recommend that you do not know how to apply thermal paste; It should be (literally) molecules thick.

This is keeping my CPU really cold at a four.1GHz OC quite awesome best there is This point is genuinely huge when installing your computer into your case hopefully your case has the backboard cut out on the motherboard so you can install it right after you mount the motherboard. It is extremely really hard to match your hand involving it and the case to plug in a cable or 2

Cons:Does not include fans with pwmIt's HUGE, had a hard time making all the fan connections because lack of space due to the size of the heatsink

Pros:Works perfectly, quite
Comment:
Works perfectly, keeps my CPU at pretty much room temperature when idle. The only thing preventing me from putting 5 stars is the lack of fans with pwm not included. For a premium heatsink, I would have expected it to come with pwm to control fan speed via motherboard so it pretty much runs maximum speed at all times. The fans are interchangeable though. The noise is still relatively low.

Keeps my CPU cool, kind of valuable as it is a CPU cooler. The adjustable fans have been handy. The installation instructions have been correct. Support for AMD and Intel. So huge it cools my RAM. Significant, at stock places the 120 fan hit my RAM sticks but the adjustable fans solved that. It touches my upper most expansion card but I put some electrical tape on the card to stop a quick circuit. Certainly advisable to any one but be warned it is Big

If you're thinking about getting anything less than a Kraken X60, then just get this. This thing performs almost exactly the same as a H100, only it's 5-10 decibels quieter. The only problem with it is that you have to make sure your case and ram are compatible in terms of spacing, but other than that it's the king of the castle. The only step up from this is either a Kraken X60, an Swiftech H220, or a full blown water cooling setup. If you're not getting either of those 3, just get this.

It's surprisingly light for such a large cooler, and it's quiet. The numbers beneath speak for themselves, on a totally loaded iCore7 2600K overclocked to four,5GHz the highest temp is 49C, unloaded the temps are below 29C.coretemp-isa-0000Adapter: ISA adapterCore : ჻.°C (high = ᄜ.°C, crit = ᄮ.°C) coretemp-isa-0001Adapter: ISA adapterCore 1: ჹ.°C (high = ᄜ.°C, crit = ᄮ.°C) coretemp-isa-0002Adapter: ISA adapterCore 2: ჽ.°C (high = ᄜ.°C, crit = ᄮ.°C) coretemp-isa-0003Adapter: ISA adapterCore 3: ჶ.°C (high = ᄜ.°C, crit = ᄮ.°C) It's major so you have to be cautious to orient it so that you can get the DIMMs into the board.

keeps my temps at outstanding low. I'm oc'd to 4ghz and it sits idle at 22c and 48c at full load. Mounts for AMD were straightforward to install. Extremely really quiet. The stock cooler made far more noise then this. Ok this is most likely my fault but I believe I must mention that mounting the complete issue was annoying mainly because it's so huge. It wasn't hard but I didn't connect the fans when I mounted and I couldn't fit my hand to reach the fan connectors so i had to unmount it replace the thermal paste and re-apply, connect the fans to the board and remount the cooler. It was annoying so be smart about it and connect your fans and make positive your wires are out of the way.Enormous!!! lol but we all knew that when we researched this, make sure you research the compatability list of your motherboards on the noctua.at internet site prior to buying. I was on the edge involving this and the h70, this blows the h70 out of the water. LITERALLY lol, this factor runs so BEAST.A lot of men and women claim this covers your memory slots and in someway it does but not like you believe, I have gskill ripjaws and the cooler hovers above them leaving a 1inch and a half clearance between the cooler and the memory sticks.

Already had one which I gave away for my gf's comp. This is my second D14 I purchase and I am very happy with it. Packaging and quality is just impressive. It does fit into Corsair 200R which I got it for its compact size but you will have bit hard time taking the fans off when you uninstall. (I am getting CM HAF XB cause I am not impressed with 200R) Performance is almost on par with mid end water coolers and I am still going old school with this monster air cooler.

My Patriot Xtreme Masters just barely fits with this heatsink. It has like a 2mm clearance! Overclocking potential is GREAT! running 4.2 Ghz f 60 degrees load. Idle ranges from 20-30 degrees in a room temp of about 22. Make sure your ram is compatible before you buy this awesome cooler. You can actually place a third fan on this heatsink! But I don't think it will increase its performance though.. Anyway, this heatsink keeps my i5-2500k (no overclock) at around 30C Idle, and 50C Load. Not too bad I guess. It might be a little pricey, so I probably won't buy one for my next build. (I have my eyes on this Hyper 212.. I heard it was the best bang for the buck heatsink)

Pros:Quiet and effective
Comment:
My i5-750 at stock clocks idles in the mid 20s and hits 49 under full load. The heatsink was much quieter compared to the stock fan on load. The only downside to this heatsink is its sheer size. It sits over all 4 of my RAM slots so RAM with tall fins will not fit. It also blocked my first PCI-e slot so make sure your mobo has enough room/additional PCI-e slots (i am using an old gigabyte p55m-ud2 in a NZXT gamma case).
