Cons:- Price- Size might be an issue for certain case and RAM

Pros:- Most solid build for any HSF I've seen- Amazing cooling
Comment:
Fantastic product. It's not just a piece of hardware, it almost like an artwork. I can imagine the team put their heart into designing it. Works better than most water cooling system.Got this for $50 fro member's special, can't be happier about the purchase.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Color scheme leaves more to be desiredSize - may not fit in smaller cases

Pros:High PerformanceQuiet
Comment:
It performs very well. I have a i7 2600K lightly overclocked to 4.4 ghz and this cooler knocked the temperatures down at least 25 degrees at full load compared to the stock fan that came with the processor. The front fan can be re-adjusted to make room for taller ram. Do check the compatibility of your ram and case before buying this cooler as it is very large. In addition, the color of the fans are beige and brown which detracts from their appearance.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:-size

Pros:-great air cooling solution-visually appealing-fairly quiet
Comment:
I did some reasearch into water cooling and the amount of maintanence required on a custom loop and risks and costs involved made me reconsider. I decided to go for the top of the food chain for air cooling. From what I've read, there are only a few heatsinks that outperform this one and the difference is minor. It allowed me to easily overclock my i5 2500K to 4.5Ghz which runs at 28-29C idle and it's fairly quiet. I also like the chrome look of the heatsink although the color of the fans is a bit unattractive. Do your homework and make sure that this thing will fit with all of your components as it is very large.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Comment:
Large is an understatement. This heatsink is enormous but it is very successful. I am running the i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz with an idle speed of 40C. Mainly because of the size, regardless of how you choose to location the fans (vertically or horizontally) it will overlap at least the initial memory slot. This may possibly trigger a clearance issue with your memory if the memory's heatspreader is too tall like mine was. In addition, if you do place the fans horizontally, both the initial and second slots will be shadowed by the heatsink - so just make positive you don't purchase Corsair Vengeance Memory, otherwise you'll end up peeling off the heatspreader. I have read the G.Skill memory fits nicely under the heatsink in spite of having a tall heat spreader it's self.

This factor is cool! Literally! I know bad joke... just like all the rest of the coolers out there!! Ahhh! Seriously although.. I does what its supposed to do and it does it properly! The fan color is kinda weird? I like it but it doesnt genuinely match the color scheme of my program.. or anyone elses for that matter.

Do not buy it if you have Corsair Vengeance!!! There's no way it's gonna fit in. Just got it and I have to return it. Make sure you check the Noctua website for the compatibility. http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_ram_gen&products_id=34&lng=en

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:- Expensive- Huge (removing/adding RAM requires it be uninstalled)

Pros:- Looks amazing IMO- Great performance- Really low noise output- Noctua quality (from packaging, to construction - top notch)
Comment:
This thing is amazing. Been a loyal Noctua user for quite a while now and they have yet to disappoint me, especially when they consistently put out amazingly well designed and well made products. A quality manufacturer - no doubt. This thing cools, and it does so quietly. IMO, it looks amazing in my case and I don't mind the fan colours. Few cons that come with a heatsink this size are - yeah you guessed it - size: it's a PITA having to completely uninstall it every time you want to remove or install a RAM module, as it covers the RAM completely. If you have a smaller case, this may not fit - then again if you have a small case, you shouldn't be able to afford this cooler. Overall, it's a fantastic product that I very highly recommend!

Pros:- This thing is a beast- Amazing quality and very quiet
Comment:
I was gonna go for a water cooling unit but I didn't really want to spend the money to get a good quality one so I decided to go for a heatsink. This thing is insane. Very very quiet and looks amazing. Just make sure you have the space in your case for this thing.

Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Its big...very...very big. Thus, RAM with a smaller heatsink such as stilletto would be desired over ram with a tall heatsink. Price

Pros:Excellent cooling ability, easy to install.
Comment:
Totally awesome cooler, only downside... If you look at it like its a bad thing is the size. I personally like the fact that its huge. It looks pretty sweet too, noctua fan color scheme is kind of funny looking but at least its not pink!! Price is something to consider, but look at it this way, you get what you pay for. I've got this badboy installed on a ASUS M4A89GTD Motherboard with some Mushkin Stilleto ram and I still have about 5mm (maybe a bit more) of clearence between the heatsink and fan. Definitely better to go with lower profile ram if possible. I've got this installed inside a HAF 932 case and it keeps the Phenom 2 and Mobo idling under 28C most of the time and about 35ish when gaming.

Comment:
I have to say, this really 1 of the ideal air coolers on the market place. Double fans (one 120mm 1 140mm) for push/pull action leaves your.Huge dual fans, so it keeps ambient air circulating all through the case on best of cooling the CPU.Fits in the Antec 300 case.Sits above all four RAM slots on my Asus 790X motherboard. Huge. Kind of a pain to get the fans reattached if you don't program ahead and make space. Also, hard to attach the CPU fan given that it's beneath the monstrous heatsink. With the Antec 300, removing the top fan just before installation is a really smart thing to do. There is clearance for the fan to stay there, but reattaching the fans is really tough if you don't slide that fan out. AMD 965 currently overclocked to three.9gHz.Idle temp @ 24CLoad temp @ 37CAmbient somewhere around 20C

Cons:Really Really big

Pros:QuietCoolGood quality
Comment:
Switched from Thermaltake V1 to Noctua NH-D14. It's really big, and I still couldn't use the top 200mm exhaust fan on my Thermaltake V5 case. I also had small ram, so it fit. The temperature drop  was about 10-15 degrees Celsius. Quite impressive. It's also a little quieter, but I can hardly tell as my PSU and GPU both roar at 40dba. Highly recommended if you have the dough.

Cons:This thing is huge. Biggest cooler I have ever seen or owned but does the job for sure. Bye bye liquid cooling. Not sure this is a con.

Pros:Best air cooling one can purchase. Replaced Zalman 9700NT. Both load and idle temps are lower on Phenom II X4 970 d 3.8 Ghz.Idle around 30-32 C and load 50-52C during summer time.

Antec 900 had to remove the fan on the side of the case in order to make room for this beast. Shipping was crazy fast. Ordered in PM one day, next day I received it in PM. Can't ask for more.

Cons:Expensive, humongous, and depending on your case & motherboard it's a pain to install.

Pros:QUIET! QUIET! QUIET! Great for any planned O/C'ing.

I was sick and tired of my computer running like a jet engine whenever I tried to play a game. So I bought this for my AMD Phenom II X6, Antec Three hundred Case, and Asus M4AT88-M/USB3 motherboard. Excellent performance and barely audible fans. The CPU is running about 35*C on idle in July and 48*C MAX when gaming. Can't beat the performance!Installation: Believe it or not, this fit into my Antec Three Hundred Case...barely. I had to play around a bit to get the 140mm fan secure but it fit. There really is only one way to install it inside the Antec 300 with my motherboard. And that's to have the fans blowing the air through the heat sink and right onto the rear exhaust fan. Once installed there was about 3 cm of space between the 120mm fan I had on the heatsink and the 120mm case fan. I thought this was a bit redundant so I relocated the case fan to intake air for the video card. So far it's working great.Overall, expensive purchase but can't be beat in terms of acoustic and thermal performance. A+

Pros:None. Everything about Noctua sucks ill never buy from Noctua again

I sent mine back to new egg and bought a V8 from Cooler Master. It look better and cools better. I gave it 3 stars because i had too when i wrote a review.
