Lame Review page@TigerDirect Rating: Review Date: 04/07/10	Satisfactory pda replacement, but be warned Comment: I bought this as a replacement for a pda that had died, and so far I'm satisfied with its performance with the following caveats. 1. The battery cover is a warranty buster, being almost impossible to remove without breaking one of the tiny hooks holding it on. 2. It only takes mmc memory cards (the kind without the lock button) -- the more common sdc cards are 0.7 mm thicker and won't fit. 3. make sure you confirm gsm coverage in your area and the accompanying data charges. Mine are ten dollars per MB, but I don't use it for that anyway.

I love the features and you can install programs with no problem. My fiends laugh at me about the size but I just hit them with it. It can be a weapon also. If you don't mind the size, I would highly recommend this phone.

I order three different before I ordered this one and I absolutely love it. From the outside it functions similar to older Nokia phones that look similar: in other words I don't have to go to college to learn how to use the darn thing. Reception is good. On the inside it is sooooo much more and it's use is intuitive. The querty keyboard is awesome and the keys are large enough that I can see them and press them easily. I do wish it had a camera, but I knew it didn't when I bought it. I figure if I am going to take pictures I'll use my good camera so I can get good pictures.

In addition the power consumption is low. Have relied on the Communicator for over 5 years now. For optical reasons bought this new one. Synchronization is sometimes an issue, because of PC software updates. The manufacturer & Microsoft is responsible for this.

DT@TigerDirect Rating: Review Date: 09/23/09	wonderful for professionals Comment: I have had this phone for 3.5 years. I had to get a replacement after dropping my original for the millionth time. I was able to do a backup and restore to the new phone. EVERYTHING was restored except for my bluetooth, which is a hardware dependent item. This phone has great functionality, but you really need the software CD, car charger and USB connector to get full use out of this item. Those are not in the box, but I had those from the first one I bought.

The phone has good voice quality and is rugged, just what I wanted but not what my daughter wanted. She wanted an iphone. Too bad the phone does not have a camera, and the unlit keyboard is a problem. Oh well it is a well built phone.

I wanted a smarter phone too. 4 months later I realized that applications built into the phone are not useful (there is no pdf viewer for example), the size is too big (it's a brick), and I only get 3-4 days of stand by on tmobile network. Quite a disappointment. On a possitive side, I dropped the phone couple times, and it still works. But it is not the ONE for me! I would rather use a smaller, more compact cell.

I have dropped this phone on the floor countless times, but keeps on working. Even after such punishment, the only thing that was damaged was the external LCD screen. But the phone still works fine. The keyboard and extra wide screen is a huge plus. The only draw backs is that there is no wifi. Also, the bootup time is ridiculously long.

Also doesn't connect to the internet only the sim is unlocked. phone can only be used for making calls and word texts.After only 2 weeks with this phone, phone would no longer power on. Difficult to get things exchanged and refunded. careful. make sure you read the fine print with these guys

The next one comparable to it that I could find was over $800 USD Son loves the keyboard as he texts all the time and it is a durable phone that can looks like it can take the extreme abuse that he puts stuff through (skateboarding) Some may find it a bit clunky, as it is larger than most phones out there, but it is easy to use and has amazing functions. A great buy for the money!!!
