Value not quite that of HDD, but performance there
Comment:
Lately this SSD has been on sale for just slightly over $2 per GB, which finally makes it purchasable in my opinion. For that you get a lightweight, nimble, and reliable SSD that performs noticably better than a 7,200rpm HDD RAID 0 array. Boot time for me (finishes loading all startup programs) is 32secs. If there's one thing to fault the 60GB Agility for it's the lack of a 2.5

you know what you're buying
Comment:
GB per dollar clearly is not the strong point here, but the price was right at the time. Know that there's a chance you'll need to update the firmware, which is somewhat a pain - not hard, just a hassle. If you are not putting this in a laptop, a 2.5in dock or an adapter for your desktop, then you will need to be creative with how you physically mount it, as with any 2.5in drive. Oh, and as for the performance, you do not need my comments on that - you know why you are buying this. Better value than most other 60GB solid state drives - when you get down to it you are just splitting hairs with the performance that solid state drives offer. Of course, the particular application you choose this for will determine just how 'awesome' it will be, e.g. OS drive vs. media read-write drive.

Be sure to order an adaptor!!
Comment:
If you dont' want these banging around in your case, then order an adaptor to mount them. OCZACSSDBRKT2 is what is needed. Too bad they do not carry them now, but hopefully they will in the future.

Save your money and get the larger drive with OS 7
Comment:
The drive is very fast but is limited due to space that is required with the new OS's. Overall a good performer just too expensive for the little space provided.

Cons:Price VS CapacityFirmware upgradeMIR

Pros:Speed demon!Easy installation
Comment:
Well I've had some experience using SSD's, I have been using Vertex 120G at work for 6 months now so I got hooked up to SSD and needed it at home. 60GB is the sweet spot for an OS drive with Win7 x64. It really makes a huge difference in day to day usage!Of course the price is still very high VS capacity, so you'll need a second data drive. I use a NAS with 1.5TB for that purpose. One of the things that can be challenging is doing firmware upgrades on this... the latest 1.5 was not exactly easy to apply from 1.42, involved using a jumper then bootdisk using IDE mode. Plus if I would have applied it right away there's a good chance it would have bricked my drive as many others did, because my specific model required different instructions that were not published at first... The best advice I can give you is WAIT at least 3 weeks before applying new firmware upgrade on OCZ SSD drives so all bugs are found & corrected. Now don't panic, it's still a great product, but just don't rush at every new firmware and follow instructions carefully.

Comment:
Not much to say about this SSD, overall a great buy. Many will have to upgrade their whole computer to get performance gains, but with an SSD like this one, it's one of the only upgrades you'll actually notice a difference in.Was deciding between the Agility or Vertex, Vertex being $20 more, I thought I'd rather pocket the money and don't regret it at all. Start ups are super fast, no having to wait for all my apps and services to load. Boot up, and everything loads in an instant. Can't go wrong with SSD!

Cons:none so far

Pros:fasttrouble free so fargood quality & performance for your money
Comment:
I bought one of these drives for my new i7 build running windows 7 x64 on a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R motherboard. Windows installed without a hitch and it's been smooth running since. It came with firmware 1.40 and I just now update d it to 1.5 following the instructions laid out on the OCZ forum which can be found here: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?67815-1-5-FW-update -for-Agility-Vertex-EX-drives-and-TurboThere were some issues with people updating from 1.42 but I believe they've worked that out now. For me the update  to 1.5 was easy and quick and after running AS SSD Benchmark there's a definite performance increase already.Loving it and would definitely recommend.

Cons:No bracket to mount the 2.5in SSD in a 3.5in disk case. Really a bummer. I hope they fix this.

Pros:Does I/O at 4x or 5x the rate of my seagate 7200 disksExcellent read and write performance
Comment:
Fast drive, my test from www.roadkil.net showed around 200+ MB/s on reads, and slightly less (180+ MB/s) on writes, using 512KB blocks or larger. This is 4x times as fast as my seagate disks. I am really impressed, and will never go back to hard drives on my future computers. Windows boot times were cut in half.

OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT60G 60GB SATA 2 AGILITY SERIES SOLID STATE DRIVE RETAIL
Cons:As with all ssd drives, limited write cycles before failure. Does not come with mounting hardware to put into a 3.5" bay

Pros:Fast!!! reliable, no moving parts
Comment:
Great drive, got it on sale. Put W7 pro 64 on it, and it flies. I used my two old seagate 500gb ns drives in raid0 for an apps drive. One ssd is very similiar in performance to my raid0 array. I did a dvd rip test, and both performed equally well. Transfer speeds from one to the other and back were both at 100mb/s consistently. Only gripe is that OCZ didnt include brackets to install the drive into a 3.5" bay. The only other worry, is that i'll hit the write cycle life of the drive and be stuck w/o my OS.

Cons:- Keeps corupting data- OCZ support SLOW- Others having same issues with recent purchase. Sounds like a bad batch

Pros:- Looks nice- Good price
Comment:
Bought this drive while it was on sale, ncix shipped super fast which was nice.Got the drive and went through a nightmare of different install scenarios and installed in two different systems. Drive keeps corrupting my install of Windows 7, these drives are shipped with a version of firmware (1.42) which is not even official yet, the current version is 1.41.I now have to pay to ship this back to OCZ for a replacement and be without the drive for at least another week. Check out the OCZ support forms and you will see a bunch of others in the same boat

Best price for performance
Comment:
Forget RAM, spend the $ on an SSD HD and you'll be better off. Sooo much faster than a 10K speed hard drive, I felt like I had a new PC. Do some looking around read about the differences, but this was a great price, and increased performance by a significant amount.

Fast but stopped working after a week
Comment:
I bought this drive and for the first week it ran excellent and was very fast. However, soon it stopped being recognized in the BIOS and I could not boot to it every time. The problem got progressively worse until It finally would not work at all and I had to RMA. We'll see how the new drive works.

everyone needs an SSD
Comment:
very fast, 50% to 150% from factory installed laptop hard drive. Less power, longer laptop life. Recommend everyone who 1) needs little space i.e. office user or 2) can manage multiple drives properly get one for an operating system drive. Don't expect immediate compatibility without an operating system reload and proper partition offset. This drive still requires tech knowledge. Still costly, not only high price but instability in pricing across the board.

Was a greatvalue when purchased
Comment:
This drive is fast. The specs made it as fast as other drives that cost $80 more. Now for some reason, the drive is more expensive. This drive increased my windows 7 experience value from 5.9 to 7.3. programs load fast. windows loads fast. what more could you want. I do recommend reading some forums on improving the way Windows uses the drive. It will make your system faster and the drive last longer.

Sweet and Fast
Comment:
The drive is worth the money. I put Windows 7 and Office on the OCZ Solid State Drive and everything else on a standard hard drive. Boot time is like 45sec and shut down is very fast as well. When I open internet explorer or other application on the OCZ drive it pops right up with no load time at all, its like it was already open. Even the applications running on the standard hard drive open manybe 20% faster. I cannot wait to buy another one for my data.
