Great PSU
Cons: PRICE, but you get what you pay for...
Pros: It has all the power your pc will ever need.I oc everything and tri sli gpus and this psu does it with ease.My current pc makes this put out around 920 watts under full render in a heavy duty battle scene and never flinches a bit.If you need a psu with alot of clean horse power (dc volts) with a huge single 12v rail, this is your ticket. |

Turbo Cool 1200
Cons: None what so ever, just make sure it will fit in your case before purchasing it.
Pros: What is there to say, If you purchased this power supply, you just got yourself the best 1200 watt power supply on the market for a 3-way SLI setup. Single 12 volt rail is what makes this unit the best choice. As with multi rail PSU's the power is split and can cause problems with a 3-way sli set up. This won't happen with this Unit. Some people would list it a con as not being modular. Be glad it is not modular. Modular cables corrode at the connections over time and start to create heat and voltage resistance. This thing is rock solid no matter how much I overclock my components. My system: 790i ultra SLI, E8500 can clock to 5.0 Ghz.,4 Gigs DDR3 SLI ready 1800 Mhz. RAM, Three GTX 280's in 3-way SLI ,WD Veliciraptor, Samsung cd/dvd player/burner with lightscribe, Thermaltake Armor VH6000 BWS PC case, Koolance ERM-2K3U Liquid cooling unit which uses up to 50 watts. And this power supply to run it all. I overclcock everything to the maximum and this power supply handles it with ease. Comment:
If you are building a high end gaming computer, do not skimp on your power supply. This is the best you can get for a 1200 watt power supply. It even comes with its own test report. It is a bit pricey but in this case, you are truly getting what you are paying for. |

Powerful but a bit loud.
Cons: This PSU is a bit on the loud side. Idle it's noticable and under load it sound's like a microwave. Probably going to downgrade to the Silencer 910 because of this.
Pros: This baby will deliver solid clean power to anything you throw at it. Comment:
If noise doesn't bother you and you want to power a high end system this psu is second to none. |

POWER PERIOD
Cons: Price may be a con, but based on the quality you are buying, I don't think it's an issue.
Pros: Power for all of your needs; overclocking, SLI/Crossfire, multiple hard drives, you name it. Single rail takes the guess work out of computing power requirements for multiple power-hungry components. Comment:
I run a Q9650 overclocked to 4.05ghz stable on air, with multiple hard drives and (3) GTX OC 260's running in SLI. I tried other PSU's (Enermax, Cooler Master, BFG Tech), and none help up to the wattage consistency of this unit. If you are building a super system, this is the PSU! |

To the idiotic "hype" reviewer
Cons: Your review...
Pros: I have owned the ESA version of this psu for over a year now. It is powering a system consisting of a Classified, i7 950, 3xGTX280hc's, 2 wc loops, 3 WD Vraps, 1TB Black, and 8 fans. I run the system thru a large commercial UPS with over 2Kw which monitors current draw. I use everybit of this psu's output benching in HWbot and IMO there is no finer psu available for enthusiasts and high level benchers.I suggest you reserve your uninformed opinion for something you might know a little more about. Comment:
If your serious, and want to be on the bleeding edge, this is your psu. |

Amazing
Cons: It is expensive and can be loud if under load.
Pros: Clean, efficient power with lots and lots of options. Powers everything I need it to and could do more. 7 year warranty. Never had any hiccups or issues with power with this PSU Comment:
To some who have complained about loudness and one who stated his PSU killed his video cards .... this is a loud PSU even not at load. It is not easy to put a 1200w/1400W max PSU at load. It is not that it is unbearable, but it is not a silent PSU. NOTE: This is a turbocool and not a silencer or some other PSU. I find the noise to be ok. As for killing video cards. Either something was terribly wrong with the PSU for some weird reason or the user did not know what he was doing. I have 3 x gtx 280s with no issues whatsoever running 24/7 with an overclocked i7, 12 gigs of ram, 7 HDDs, 10 120mm fans and the EVGA classified mobo. No hiccups and no issues. The power output on this is top notch and stands up as one of the best on the market. |

Previous review: fan is not loud?
Cons: 6I beg to differ from previous reviews on one note. After going to extraordinary effort and expenditure to keep my system quiet, I find the fan on this PSU to be annoyingly loud. I have a total of 13 fans running (albeit, slowly) to keep the case and radiators cool. The PSU fan easily drowns all the others out, several times over. No doubt this fan has its work cut out for it in keeping with the high output and corresponding high heat dissipation requirements of the unit. Even if it wasn’t going to be easy to keep this beast quiet, for the $$$ this thing set me back, I’m left with the impression that the manufacturer skimped unnecessarily on the cost of a higher quality cooling solution.
Pros: Although I am not an electrical engineer, the online reviews of this PSU by numerous computer hardware gurus sang its praises in regard to stable, rock-solid, power delivery – I was sold. I have a water-cooled, quad SLI (2x 295 GTX) setup with all the trimmings – everything runs without a hitch. That said. . . Comment:
I say do it right and charge me the extra few dollars for it – I’ll pay more for the comprehensive solution. To the PC enthusiasts out there who want it all, I’d advise to keep your eye out for PSUs that have (like this unit) high marks in the area of clean abundant power – and in addition – a quiet fan, or even better, an option to connect the PCU to the water cooling circuit. |

Please don't buy into this PSU's hype.
Cons: If you are building a new dream machine, do not buy into the hype of this PSU. There are serious cons with this product that hardly justify the "bragging rights" for owning one. First, it's big - so big it will not fit in a lot of PC cases. Second - and most importantly - it's loud. Real loud. Anyone who will tell you it's quiet most likely plays Battlefield 2 with the volume too high on their headphones.
Pros: Bears the quality brand name of PC Power & Cooling. Powerful single rail. Has an industry-leading 7-year warranty. Comment:
Please do yourself a favor and buy another fine PC Power & Cooling PSU - their Silencer 910. It's designed to support a Core i7 with two GTX 295s in Quad SLI (which, at the most, only uses 700 watts). Why would you need this 1200 watt monster? The 910 can be bought at a fraction of the cost and it's whisper quiet. Unless you need to power the Death Star, anyone praising this thing simply doesn't want to admit its flaws because they spent too much. Manufacturer Response:Hi, we are pleased that you recommend our Silencer 910 to potential customers. This PSU is larger (as most PSU's 1000w and larger are), and it is built for extreme duty. Therefore we set the fans to move more air than we would in a smaller PSU. Given the right application we feel the Turbo Cool 1200 is second to none. If you have an "extreme machine" this may be the product for you.Thank you |

Not The PC Power and Cooling of the Past
Cons: Inconpatible or design issues with EVGA GTX280. Caused 4 EVGA GTX280s, 1 ATI x1900xtx and 1 Sapphire 4870 x2 card to become damaged between weeks to a 6 month usage period during troubleshooting processes of two separate gaming systems with the same power supply. High graphical settings while running video games and using DX10 caused all my EVGA GTX280’s to completely fail 4 times in a row over a 6 month period, at different increments. The manufacturer supplied me with replacements 4 times. All the other cards I used did not completely fail, only showed signs of additional video lag after the T12W. The problem lies in combination with the T12W power supply and EVGA GTX280 cards. I have spent at least $1,000 in parts and replaced every component except for this power supply. After using PC Power and Cooling for over 8 years, could not implicate such a quality company. Through troubleshooting, the only component that can be causing these video card failures is this model power supply
Pros: Enough power to run most business related workstations with numerous internal devices. Customer service was courteous. Was the best power supply manufacturer until OCZ bought the company in May of 2007. Comment:
I have always sworn by PC Power and Cooling. I have always used their products in all the systems I have built for myself and customers. In contacting PC Power and Cooling, they would not crossship a replacement supply or supplement shipping costs for such an expensive product. In the past, the old PC Power and Cooling would ship me a new power supply overnight and pay for the return shipping. Since OCZ bought out this company, its policies have changed. PC Power and Cooling is not the same company they were. With OCZ's take over, I guess the quality of service and product reliability has diminished. OCZ is a great company when it comes to system memory but they have now diminished the name of the best power supply manufacturers in the world. I will not be buying thier products ever again or at least until they live up to the original name the company had created. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry for the problems. While this does sound highly unusual, we will be sure to thoroughly test your unit when it arrives and repair it as required. PC Power is still in the same location in Carlsbad, CA, has the same management, engineering staff, and build and repair staff, so actually little to nothing has changed. Our policy has always been for the customer to pay shipping to our facility, repair their unit, and return it after repair. Exceptions may have been made in the past, but this is generally up to the individual support tech you are working with. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks |

just bought it
Cons: see other thoughts
Pros: see other thoughts Comment:
I went with this brand because of all the reviews given, they were all 5's but for some nigling irrelevant complaints by one or two. I have never seen reviews so consistently affirmative. This should handle any Tri SLI setup I embark on for the next couple of years. Bought an EVGA Classified-X58 MB, G-Skill -16000 ram+ and DO Stepping I7-920 nehalem which will all go in an Antec 1200 case. I'll review again after I try it out |

Still great
Cons: When adding the third video card the PSU idles just a tad louder (maybe).
Pros: Still all the power I could ever want and my system has grown a lot. I have 3 graphics cards overclocked, an i7 920 oc to 4.1, 6 hard drives, the coolermaster v10 cooler with TEC, the EVGA classified, a blue ray player, 8 120mm fans, 12 gigs of ram and still this thing has no issues. This even has 2 8 pin power connectors for the classified if I should choose to use them both. Comment:
I really don't think this PSU is going to have any problems. It delivers the power you need and nothing more. I can honestly say when I used to have the 850 watt PSU and even more the 510w unit when I first started building PCs those were way louder under load than this PSU. They were also quieter when at idle, but they were not running at near 500 watts at idle either. I will always buy PC P&C for my builds. |

Wow very nice very stable
Cons: This bad boy is very long. But what do you expect? It's a top of the line ps. This is a minor concession compared to what it offers. I've used many power supplies and this one is easily the best one I've owned.
Pros: Wow. This is a very nice power supply. I am currently running a Supermicro X7DWA-N board with 32 gigs of FB-DIMM 667 memory, ATI Radeon 4870 x2, 1 500 gig, 7 x 1.5 TB, and a blu ray DVD drive and I notice no power fluctuations whatsoever. This is a very solid power supply and I highly recommend it. Comment:
It'd be nice to have modular cables as the wires all over the place make quite a mess. Overall that is just a minor quibble. |

Good PSU--bad rebate process
Cons: My and others rebates are being wrongfully denied. Visit the OCZ website so you will be prepared for your wrongful rebate denial. I own many PC P&C PSUs and they are all good products. It is a shame that OCZ is using a rebate processor that does not live up to the same level of quality that the product does.
Pros: This PSU has voltages that meet the specs and it is powering a heavy load. Marked down due to the Con: below. Comment:
Dual Xeon processor, 8 GB mem., 26 hard drives on 3 raid controllers, 2 DVD RW drives, and other slots full with video, audio, and vid. capt. cards. Manufacturer Response:Hi, we are sorry about the rebate issue. We use a rebate house for all processing. We will be be happy to look into your rebate and will see that all valid claims are paid. Please contact our support staff at the link below. Mention that you were sent by the PC Power rep at Newegg. Thanks External Link(s): PC Power Support| |

All-in-One
Cons: Would be nice to add a cable management feature (i.e. detachable cables), so that unnecessary cables could be left out/added later.
Pros: Rock steady. Large, powerful, cords up the ying-yang. All cords are nicely wrapped. Multiple 8 and 6 pin connectors; SATA connectors, old style connectors. First time ever that I didn't need any Y-connectors or adapters. Be sure your case is large, though, as this monster will eat it up. My Thermaltake Armor+ is a perfect match, with the sliding support rail, and gobs of room. Fan isn't as loud as I expected it to be. If you're gonna go big, you won't regret this purchase. Comment:

Very stable and sturdy
Cons: Cost. It is expensive, but you do get what you pay for. I'm very glad I once again went with PC Power and Cooling. They are the only brand I plan to use.
Pros: Wow. I have a Supermicro X7DWA-N with dual quad core E5440 Xeons, 32 gigs of FB-DDR2 667, 6 1.5 TB Seagates in a RAID 5, a 500 gig Seagate, and a 750 GB WD. I use an Areca RAID card and have a Sapphire Radeon 4870 x2. This power supply handles it with no problems. Considering how decked out this system is, this thing runs with nary a hiccup. Comment:
Just a suggestion, but it would be nice if they considered using modular cables. |

Nice, but pricey
Cons: None worth mentioning.
Pros: Solid power supply from a company I trust from the best online store. What could be better. Comment:
About 9 1/8" long so measure before purchase. The fan noise is not excessive but I have other fans that are louder. The electronic noice that others have mentioned is present in my power supply but I can barely hear it. |

Made my TRI SLI rig work!!!
Cons: A whole lot of cables make cable management a little unwieldly. I have a Silverstone TJ-09 case so its not as bad, but if the case was smaller I think I would have a hard time routing them properly
Pros: Provides stable and reliable power for a TRI SLI set up. Had a Corsair HMX-1000, but it wasn't cutting it, so I RMA'd it and got this one from newegg. Couldn't be happier. Enables me to overclock reliably, couldn't ask for a better power supply Comment:
