junk
Cons: it doesn't work Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We are sorry for the fact that your memory arrived DOA. Please rest assured that each memory is hand-tested, furthermore our quality control and shipping departments take all precautions to make sure our products are great quality items. It's not uncommon to see that sometimes the memory can get damaged in transit. Please do not hesitate to contact support@patriotmem.com fore any assistance.Thank You for choosing Patriot Memory.Regards,Patriot Memory Support Team

Pros: no pros about memory that arrives DOA. now i have to pay to ship it back and wait to get a replacement.... thanks Patriot - your lack of quality control has now cost me another $10 shipping. I should have stuck with my usual choice (begins with C and ends with air). it always works.

Good stuff
Cons: It does run awful hot. To the point where I can't keep my fingers on it. Make sure you have good airflow if you are filling up all the mem slots as the large heat sinks will almost touch together.

Pros: I just bought 2GB more as the mem I bought almost a year ago is still truck‘in. Sure has dropped in price in the last 11 months.
Comment:
My MOBO maxes out at 2vdc vice the 2.2. If that is your case then run at 5-5-5-15 not 4-4-4-12. If you try to run at the latter it will lock up and then you have to reset your BIOS and start over with the settings.

Best of Its Class (and Patriot Deals With RMAs Swiftly)
Cons: None immediately spring to mind, other then the fact that these sticks seem a little to closely spaced when set adjacent to each other in the motherboard. This seems like it might be courterproductive to dispersing heat, which may explain why one of mine went bad (see below).By the way, not really much of a con, but for some reason you may need to manually set the memory timings within your bias to force sticks to actually run at its rated timings of4-4-4-12.

Pros: I first bought this bundle more than two years ago. The sticks have served me well throughout this time, proving quite capable of playing recent titles such as Fallout 3 with minimal trouble.
Comment:
The reason I write this review now is one of my ram sticks recently died on me. I was experiencing some unusual errors while playing games for quite a while, and a recent glitch with AVG antivirus involving stealing program focus might have finally pushed it over the edge. I ran Memtest, and surely enough the mem stick was completely done for. Things like this happen eventually so I really don't blame Patriot for it.Since my warrenty with Newegg had long expired, I contacted Patrot Memory directly. They were quite cooperative once I explained the problem. It only took a day or so for me to get an RMA number so I could sent the stick in for replacement.I'm currently waiting for that replacement to arrive. In the mean time, I ordered another set of sticks so that I will have a set a four. It seems like games and background programs hog more and more ram these days, so 1 or even 2 GB is no longer enough. All in all, I've been very satisfied with Patriot Memory.

Great
Cons: It is questionable whether i'll find a use for 1 GB DIMMs when I upgrade again.

Pros: Works great; reasonably priced. Modest overclock is painless.
Comment:
I had originally bought this memory kit a year and a half ago when assembling my main computer. I bought another set recently to upgrade up to 4 GB of memory. I had modestly overclocked my previous set, and simply plugged the new set in to the two free DIMM slots without having to change any settings. Easy as can be!

Cons: Gets pretty warm under normal settings. Doesn't OC like it should on a mobo that does just fine with other cheaper ram.

Pros: Price for what you get. Looks cool.
Comment:
Would buy again IF I wasn't going to OC the hell out of it. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,It's actually quite normal for memory modules to get relatively warm when you are increasing the voltages and tightening various other speeds and latencies. Feel free to contact support@patriotmem.com if you have further questions or if the memory does not meet specifications.Regards,Patriot Memory Support Team

Should've bought 4 GB
Cons: - None so far- People whining about having DOA sticks; contact the company, send them back, get new ones, problem solved- Got them elsewhere from Newegg :(

Pros: - Great memory (upgraded from a single gigabyte of Kingston)- Work great on my 750i mobo
Comment:
I haven't tried a whole lot of RAM lately, but those sticks definitely do the job. The heat sinks are effective as long as you got a fan pushing the hot air away from them. I haven't overclocked them and don't plan to: they work well the way they doBTW, I still think getting more than 4gb is useless unless you are in the video/picture editing domain. I never saw a game eating a full 2GB of RAM, only ½ of it

Cons: DOA, no response from Patriot.Emailed twice. My faullt, because I didnt test them as soon as i received them. But I didnt pay for a dead memory chip.Have emailed Patriot trice for a RMA, no luck as of now. They must be BUSY!

Pros: I have always purchase Patriot Memory as 1st choice.I have been please with their performance.But.............

Works Perfect
Cons: Couldn't get my dog to sprout opposable thumbs and install it for me.

Pros: These modules worked right out of the box. After installing I immediately set the BIOS latency to 4-4-4-12 like the memory specifies, ran memtest for several hours and everything passed. Windows has been running without a hitch ever since.
Comment:
Like any low latency memory, first make sure it will work with your motherboard. I put this in a budget system with an AM2+/3 Gigabyte motherboard, Athlon II X2 processor, and Seagate SATA drive. It's very stable with a large speed improvement over my previous Pentium D system, which is all I was looking for since I don't do much gaming.

amazing for the price
Cons: none!

Pros: Runs cool to the touch, fast, and cheap. What more could you want?
Comment:
You don't need more than 2GB of ram unless you're running Vista/Windows 7 and/or doing a lot of video editing. But with prices this cheap, you might as well get 4GB of this ram.

Great for $20
Cons: Have heard many many MANY reports of the heatsinks sliding a bit when you put them on. This made me have to put them on pushing only on the corners. That hurt a bit.

Pros: Didn't really notice a jump in system performance, but this was the only part I upgraded. I was going to wait but then I saw that rebate(s). I will upgrade the rest later.
Comment:
I bought two of these off another site for the rebate. After both rebates, it was 4 GB for $20. I couldn't believe that they let me buy two and get the second rebate. I was almost certain that they would notice that it was the same person. VERY good for $20.Haven't tried overclocking yet.

Eye Candy Heatsinks cause Overheat problems.
Cons: The 'eye candy' heatsinks are entirely too thick. Heat-sinks don't 'cool' anything. -> Airflow does. If these modules are installed in typically spaced adjacent slots there is almost no room [~1/16"] for air flow between the modules. As such, there is effectively NO COOLING on that side of the RAM and it overheats. The overheated RAM causes system stability problems, lock-ups, and even false reports [errors] about bad RAM.-This RAM will consistently fail MEMTEST (with different errors every time) *if installed in adjacent slots* but the -SAME- sticks of RAM pass MEMTEST every time *if NOT installed in adjacent slots*. [Even on the same board the modules previously failed on.] -It was driving me nuts until I figured out the problem.I had chosen this RAM to test motherboards with in a shop workbench situation. - It's good, then it's bad, then it's good again, opps, it's bad again. I've tested my theory to confirm my conclusion on 4+ motherboards now. It's repeatable.

Pros: Price. When it works, it works fine.
Comment:
It works fine if there is plenty of room between the RAM slots on the particular motherboard, but, I can only recommend this stuff if you have a 4 slot board and you only intend to fill 2 slots -or- if the slots on your board are unusually far apart. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for supporting our products. I am sorry for the issues you are having. Our PDC22G6400LLK have a max operation temperature of 85 Degrees Celsius. Amazing ram for an every day normal use setup
Cons: It's not free.

Pros: Rock solid stable at stock and oc'ed voltages. (I've only taken them up to 1000 at stock timings) I have 6 sets of these in various computers at work and at home all have preformed flawlessly.
Comment:
You can run them at 1.8v at stock frequency but make sure to throttle them up to 2.2v when over clocking them.

Mine died after 2 years, but Patriot replaced them
Cons: Mine (both sticks) went bad after two years.

Pros: They work well with my Gigabyte 965P-DS3 rev 3.3 at stock clock speed and stock voltage. The BIOS detects them and sets the latency correctly. I have no complaints with the memory as long as they keep working. Can't go wrong at this price point... but then, you might as well get the 4GB kit.
Comment:
I bought these in April 2007 when they were almost 6X the current price. They were running in my desktop rig for an average of 3 hours per day (turned off when not in use) for about 2 years and then began to flake out.I was getting freeze ups in Vista a couple of minutes after booting, random blue screens, and shutting down service errors. It got progressively worse for two months until I figured out it was the memory. Memtest gave 1000s or 10,000s or errors in a few test passes on both sticks, so I initiated an RMA request through the Patriot Web site. The RMA request starts with a slow discussion with Patriot Support (5 days total). Once they're convinced that something is wrong with the memory, they turn you over to the actual RMA people who are a lot quicker with email response (half a day for a couple of email exchanges).I mailed in my bad memory and newly packaged, identical sticks showed up. Total time including mailing both ways was 11 days. Not bad. Manufacturer Response:Dear Anonymous I'm sorry that your memory went bad after 2 years but I'm glad you took advantage of our lifetime warranty. As a company, we are constantly looking to streamline our process' to make consumer's experiences faster and more satisfying. Cons: None at this point. I did read that many people reported problems with the product. I will wait and see if I my modules develop any problems.

Pros: Installed smoothly and works well. No issues so far for the one week I have been using this. I was able to buy this when the $ 10 rebate was in effect. After the rebate, my total cost including shipping and tax is $25 for the kit of 2X1G. Pretty good deal.

Bought two years ago, still great
Cons: None.

Pros: Bought it July 2007 to build a new comp - running Windows XP, had it overclocked and used for serious gaming. Worked great for a long time. Lately I think my cooling solutions leave something to be desired because I had problems with overheating, so I put processor and RAM back to stock speeds. Still runs great.
Comment:
Made the mistake of buying a second two sticks before I realized that you need a 64-bit operating system to utilize 4+GB of RAM. If you're building a system with Windows XP or Vista 32bit, don't get carried away.
