Unfortunately it doesn't work in the ASUS EEE Computer 900 I actually bought it for, this model refuses to boot with it installed. A single of the other reviewers stated it did perform in their 900 so either a subtle distinction in 900 models or the RAM makeup has changed I suppose. This Computer came with Windows XP.

RapidWith only two Ram Banks on my laptop it allowed me to max out the 32bit RAM capacity 1 2gb patriot stick, and 1 gb ramaxil stick.Operates at the exact same speeds as my existing ram sticks so no overall performance loss. None so far that i can come across. I run vista, Windows 7, and Ubuntu,on teh Vista and windows 7 i reach about 1800 gb of cost-free ram when idling. When running games such as mine craft (very higher in ram demand) my computer no longer slows down. I can switch apps a lot quicker.As stated above my laptop along with most laptops only have two RAM stick banks, So with a 32 bit OS you can only have three-3.5gb of ram. This 2GB stick allowed me to have the max for my laptop at 3 gb.Other laptops that have 64bit OS would benefit from higher capacity Ram sticks.
