Cons: Lint!! Cap is not as tight as it should be but it still holds, hopefully no ESD will affect it like my last corsair that died unexpectedly.Also, comes converted from factory (FAT32), You need to convert it to NTFS format if you want to transfer files bigger than 3 GB or more, otherwise you will get a write/error!

Overall I like this drive, excellent transfer speeds, we'll see if it can outlast my PNY which broke but still worked.Also, I sick and tired of people who claim to have a "HIGH" tech level experience yet complain about lost of space, SERIOUSLY all of you who can't calculate your own drive space accordingly should all be classified as UNEXPERIENCED & SLAPPED!Your computer calculates space in binary notation (1024) instead of the decimal (1000) you have to make you space divisible by your formats to calculate your exact space. I will make it simple.Take your 8GB or 8000MB/1024/1024/1024 = 7.45 GB Your exact usable space. Just know that a computer is a DIGITAL device, and in DIGITAL it's always BINARY FORMAT starting a count to ZERO, THAT'S WHY IT SHOWS YOUR SPACE IN THE DIGITAL NOTATION AND NOT DECIMAL! Cons: The only reason I gave it 4 eggs is because it is kind of ugly and bulky. I have two USB ports right next to each other and I can't fit my other usb device in next to it. Other than that its perfect.

This Flash Drive is indestructible

I am having a horrible week, with sister in ER, finals for school, and over 9000 other things. I didn't bring my flash drive to school this day, which has everything for my graphic arts class...everything. My project for my final, everything else for that class, and 6 gigs of miscellaneous things. I come home, my mom is very distraught with current events (sister in ER) and has been doing laundry. i look for my flash drive but can not find it, i end up looking in the dryer, what do you know, there it is. rush to my computer, plug it in...IT WORKS PERFECTLY! In the crapstorm of things going wrong that is my life at the moment, the best flash drive that holds the outcome of my classes, went through not just the washer, but the dryer too, and works perfectly fine. the ONLY difference from going in to going out... the outside of it looks nice and shinny clean lol...What flash drive do you know, or any electronic for that matter, can go through washer/dryer and come out better. |

Good Drive but be Careful!
Cons: The lanyard is attached to the flash drive. I snagged my foot on it getting out of my chair, and ripped the usb plug right off the drive.
Pros: Good all around drive. Good size for the money, and it seems quite quick. This is my second, and my wife has had the 2 gig one for 2 yrs now. Overall very happy with the drive. Comment:

AWESOME FLASH DRIVE
Cons: NONE
Pros: We all have our love/hate relationship with flash drives, but this one does everything right.. its not too tiny so you won't end up losing it, and its not outlandishly bulky.The write/read speeds are fast and the enclosure is made to last and take a beating.Despite some other reviews, I have not had any problems with the end loop that you attach your lanyard onto. The material at the end is tough and wont snap or break easily.. I guess the other reviewers we're treating this drive like a morning star and frantically twirling it above their heads like some sort of mad man..lol.. Comment:

Excellent, for now
Cons: Be prepared that immediately after you take it out of the package, dust will start sticking to it. But hey, rubber beats plastic because it's shock absorbent. Just wipe it with damp cloth often, or let it get dusty so it'll appear to be old and dirty and will be less of a target for potential thieves. :)
Pros: I have numerous flash drives, SD cards and SONY Memory Stick cards. They write at about 4 mb/s. This writes at around 8 mb/s. Works as stated. Nice! Firefox Portable runs great on this thing too. I have formatted it to NTFS from the original FAT 32. I learned that as long as I go to the drive's properties and set it to "optimize for quick removal" then I don't need to "safely remove hardware" for it, just wait for blue light to stop flashing, unplug, and slip in pocket. I thought the design would be a bit too loud, but in fact it seems the complete opposite. Black background, red text, blue light. Awesome! Rubbery feel means it doesn't get oily like plastic drives. Very durable feel, and seen some good reviews from others of its long time durability. |

Cons: Disappointed with write speeds. Patriot sells this as a 200x drive but the write speeds were fairly poor. On two computers, XP Pro SP2 and Vista SP1, could do no better write speed than about 6.5 MB/s. The read speed was 25-30 MB/s.If you are writing to a sub folder/s expect maybe 3MB/s

I reformatted as well as formatting with different sector sizes but that was not useful and in some cases worse. I have yet to try NTSF but doubt it will be helpful. Cons: There are three things I dislike about this drive:1) The drive attaches to your keychain via a weak looking/feeling rubber loop. Hopefully it will continue to hold.2) There is nowhere to put the cap when using the drive (if you have the drive on a keychain). It's just asking to be lost.3) The drive is pretty big due to the rubber casing. Not the most comfortable to keep in your pocket.

Cons: Rather large. Not too much trouble but sometimes it can be slightly difficult to put this next to other USB plugs. Anyhow the size is worth it for how solid it feels.

Cons: The housing for the drive is thick and may block access to a USB port above or below the one used by the drive.Drive is packaged in a hard plastic blister that almost requires a bandsaw to open and that will slice open a finger if you accidently catch an edge while opening the package.
Pros: Drive is quick. Rubber-like housing appears to provide good protection to the circuitry. Comment:
My simple tests indicate that the read speed is about twice the write speed. and that the Patriot drive is almost twice as fast as a comparable 8 Gb Kingston DataTraveler. Package includes a 14-inch USB extension cable. This is a little more expensive than the Kingston 8GB I use at work, but it's worth it. It's much faster on the writes than the Kingston.
