Comment:
Seriously excellent keyboard. The keys are responsive and really, very nice to form on (coincidentally, my keyboard arrived on the exact same day that I had to create a 20 page analysis paper, so I've typed really a bit on this factor currently), and you can plan ANY keys to be actually what ever you want. It looks wonderful, as, nicely, and I really like the truth that Razer did not make the Black Widow overly flashy like other gaming gear tends to be. Haven't been capable to successfully produce and use keyboard profiles. Each and every time I switch from the default setup (however I might have it), it will automatically switch back to the default setup following about 5 seconds. This isn't terrible, as I genuinely only use my gaming Pc to play Starcraft two, but it is annoying. Extremely, incredibly great keyboard at a decent price tag (for a mechanical keyboard, that is). Bought this as a supplement to my gaming Computer along with a new Logitech mx 518 mouse and I have to say, the mouse and keyboard you use when playing any game (Starcraft in specific in my situation) make a Planet of difference in feeling and comfort level. If you're debating purchasing this keyboard, just go for it. It's truly worth the cash.

Comment:
Incredibly good Cherry MX Blue clicky keys, great force necessary to actuate the keys, it in fact has produced me a more quickly typist. Not night and day, but noticeably more rapidly. Substantially additional comfortable to sort on also, much less finger tension when compared to dime a dozen membrane keyboards. Heavy! About 3 pounds, and the rubber feet have greater surface places than other folks, which implies that this factor stays place on a desk exactly where you place it.Cheapest keyboard in its class: a no frills, no bullcrap, "lets do this," mechanical keyboard. I wish this was out earlier. As other folks have pointed out, this thing is piano gloss black along the bezel, which shows just about every spec of dirt and fingerprint. One more issue that kinda caught me off guard was the sort font on the keys themselves, a combo of upper and lower case letters that is very mechanical seeking, I looked down after and saw a lower case "r" and wondered what the heck that was. No worries, I am not a particular person who looks at the keyboard all the time although I type, so it doesn't bother me. If it does bother you, study to sort better :) Macro keys are pointless to me. I don't program on working with them for something a lot more than as a novelty. There is a bit of a space in between the Esc and F1 keys, anything that some folks might not be prepared for.The Fn essential is in the bottom appropriate, not as well widespread, so get ready to adapt. The little razer logo on the bottom has five modes, off, low, med, high, pulse. The primary differences among this and the ultimate, from what I can inform, are that the ultimate has individually back lit keys, a 2 port USB hub, and audio pass by means of jacks. Lights are cool, but not worth the added $$ for me. I have a 7 port USB hub on my desk, and USB headphones and mic, no further ports are needed for me.I expect this to be as sturdy as my other Razer stuff, I have a Copperhead mouse that is virtually three years old that has been topic to abuse and nevertheless is performing like a champ. The Cherry switches seem to be incredibly robust.

RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Macro keys cannot be set as combined modifier key (Ctrl+Shift+Alt) without combining regular keys.

Pros:Very responsive mechanical keys
Comment:
Very responsive mechanical keyboard. Key layout and positioning is perfect. Keyboard itself is heavy weighted. Action recording macros work fine. The only thing it doesn't work the way I want it is the macro key cannot be mapped as modifier keys along or combinations of modifier keys. It can only be mapped as modifier key with at least one regular key. E.g. I cannot map it as Ctrl+Shift, instead it has to be Ctrl+Shift+S or any other regular keys. I would like to use the macro keys mapped to various modifier key combo so I can do Ctrl+Shift Left click or Shift+Alt Right click for MMO click short cuts. RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Cons:- I'm not a big fan of the glossy finish- I don't really like the font used- I wish it was a bit smaller(Note that these are mostly personal preference.)

Pros:- Inexpensive, compared to other mech keyboards- Pretty good build quality- No branding- Cherry blues- Good weight
Comment:
I got this particular keyboard because it was available from the Rewards Centre; I only paid $10 for the shipping.I tend to like cleaner and simpler designs, so I'm not a big fan of gaming keyboards as they are usually bigger and have features that I don't really use (e.g. macro keys). If I had to pay the full price ($85), I would probably have gone for a more "bare bones" keyboard like a steelseries, a Rosewill or a Cooler Master. Or if I'm feeling really generous with myself, I would have saved some money and gotten a Filco. In sum, this is an "OK" keyboard. I would recommend it if you can get it from the Rewards Centre, otherwise I think there are better options out there.

Pros:Decent price
Comment:
Kind of regretted for getting this keyboard. I've used Metadot Das and the build quality of Metadot Das keyboard is better than this Razer. Lack of macro keys in the Metadot Das keyboards might be a deal breaker for some people but I'd highly recommend Metadot Das over this Razer keyboard.

RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Cons:I am not a huge fan of Razer's braided cable, after a couple years my DeathAdder (Mouse) cord is fraying a little near the usb end, could happen with this. No dedicated audio control buttons, must use FN + F1-F3 for volume and F5-F8 for stop, play/pause, next/back. Not that bad though just takes a little practice.Takes a bit of getting used to how much noise, but it is a worthy trade off.

Pros:American layout so no French (Con for sum)5 macro keys, not too many. Easily programed them using Razer Synapse to be most used programs (Email, Internet, Itunes, etc)Really heavy, gives the impresion that it will be sturdyAfter only a couple hours Full sized shift and decently sized backspaceFunction key is on the left so if you use you the windows key a lot it is where you expect itSimple look, black with white lettering, nonbacklit (con for sum)Can program each and every key with razer synapse
Comment:
I really enjoy this keyboard, it is a great product at a decent price. Nice mechanical keys, no stupid backlighting or decoration (Razer logo can be turned off). As far as key layout other than no dedicated media keys there are no complaints.

Comment:
Has the Razer name.... Where to begin... Initially of all the Caps Lock essential has not been cut to permit pinky finger space. I was consistently pressing the Capslock crucial by accident although attempting to game with WASD keys. Secondly, the mechanical keys are genuinely loud so don't strategy on gaming at night though the wife sleeps. Thirdly, the spacebar would not release, it stays down and you have to continually attempt to bang it to get it to release which causes jumping in games nearly impossible. Lastly ... it did not have backlit keys which I was aware just before obtain. Oh and... wrist beginning hurting mainly because there is no wrist help that attaches like most keyboard come with. I would NOT recommend this keyboard to any person who games PERIOD!!! Razer need to stick to mice....... Manufacturer Response:I am sorry to read of any disappointment you have with the Razer BlackWidow. I can not genuinely supply any far more facts on the “Caps Lock” dilemma you mention. The caps lock important is 1 of pretty common size and shape. The space bar challenge you mention should not be taking place. Could I suggest you speak to the Razer Help Team at www.razersupport.com/email and they will help you appropriate that issue. If you choose a backlit keyboard the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate does function backlit keys. Mechanical keys do have slight audible feedback when you push them. Some users appreciate the audible feedback, but it could not be for absolutely everyone. The wrist assistance on the BlackWidow is pretty prevalent and looks to be about the size of most keyboards made these days. But as you mention some keyboards, like other Razer keyboards, do feature a bit longer rest and you might or could not come across these more comfortable. Other individuals prefer to add extra support below their wrists.

RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Comment:
Great entry price tag to mechanical keyboards. Cherry Blue switches really feel genuinely good to type and play on. The macro system operates wonderful and is uncomplicated to setup. The create excellent of the Blackwidow is fantastic (especially for a Razer product). I'm a SC2 player and I find this keyboard awful to play on. This is a 2kro keyboard with a slightly modified essential layout from the normal keyboards. The F keys are moved slightly to the ideal which is downright awful design if you play something other than FPS games considering that they are farther from exactly where your left hand primarily rest. Due to the modified layout, you will have to engrave the new layout into your muscle memory if you're use to any regular type keyboards. Examples:- You will hit capslock as an alternative of A essential frequently since there is no indent on the capslock + the modified layout.- You will hit the macro essential on the bottom left as an alternative of ctrl important.- If you use your left pinky finger to really feel your way to return to neutral state, the new macro keys will throw you off as your left pinky finger will now meddle with them.- Hitting f1 or esc swiftly can quickly be missed when not playing from a WASD stance. The shifted to the right F essential layout is terrible. This is a fantastic entry level mechanical keyboard to get folks into mechanical keyboards but there are superior. I'm trading this in for the Rosewill Cherry MX mechanical keyboard on newegg. Razer fails to create a "gaming" keyboard. Slapping some gimmicky led lights and macro buttons to cheat your way into the competition does not make a fantastic gaming keyboard imo. The modified key layout tends to make issues even worse. This keyboard is great for typing and perhaps some of the new shooters. This is a 2kro keyboard so you will not be capable to play games like beatmania or rhythm games or oldschool shooters that require a lot of simultaneous important combinations at 1 time.

Pros:Mecanical and quality of the Brand

Perfect keyboard for RTS games under a great quality Brand name. In addition of the quality, the price of the keyboard is really cheap compared to other gaming brands. Mecanical keyboard that allow the user to know when a command had been executed is really useful in game such as stacraft 2 and other RTS game. I recommand this keyboard to any gamer.

mechanical keys are incredible.... i went from pressing extremely challenging to not pressing at all literally the weight of my finger alone can press the keys this makes for ULTRA rapid typing. it has a game mode to shut off the windows button so you dont disrupt your game an then have to clarify to your opponent why you lost :).braided cable is not too bulky like i expected but i do feel the ULTIMATE version is rather bulkier its minor and its pry not everybody they ship out i just got the one particular that is a tiny off balance and wobbles ever so slightly lead to a single of the rubber feet is uneven with the others. I hesitated to buy a single lead to i had seen a lot of videos and the mechanical buttons seemed to be pretty loud when you press the and that could get annoying but i don,t mind it..... i don't think i could say the very same for who ever is in the space that isn't the a single typing

Cherry blue switches with macro functionLaser engraved+filled lettering approach was applied on the key cabs.Inexpensive entry-level mechanical keyabord 2KROInexpensive plastic keycabsThe gloss acrylic plastic housing is vulnerable to cracks and sctraches. Mine had two tiny scracks and a few sctraches so I decided to replace it. Razer is wllknown for working with inexpensive internal parts. My old Razer Diamondback Plasma Edition had cracked acrylic housing related to this Razer Blackwidow keyboard. The finish top quality of a keycab is inferior to my Steelseries 7G. Some keycabs want to get manual sanding down to level the uneven mark of injection molded plastic.

Cool keyboard, really like the design. Nice color LEDs that match my compy. Haven't gotten a possibility to seriously exploit the macros but because... The left shift important suddenly stopped working for no cause whatsoever. Why did I pay 80$ for this? It just crapped out. No more operating in games. Lame. RMAing tomorrow. Seriously. Why make such a cool product, marketplace it as a gaming grade piece of utility gear, charge [a rather steep imho] 80$, and then skimp on the important components during production? What the heck, Razer? The mice don't ever last longer than about 10 months either. What a sharty deal. So disappointed. Getting logitech from now on.

- Constructed like a tank. Solid construction, thick snapping legs, really hefty- Great to sort on, right after you get accustomed to the layout and how much force you require to apply to the keys- Programmable keys are a great function- Has a nice clack, not also loud (definitely not as well loud if you put on headphones)- Great incline with the legs up or down- Great curve to the important surfaces and to the keys as a complete- Software is quite effortless to use- Cheapest mechanical keyboard devoid of create excellent problems you're going to uncover - Getting to shift to use the media keys annoys me far more than I believed- "On-the-fly macro recording" is confusing and additional or much less useless- Keys have modest surface place (compared to my old Saitek Eclipse I)- A single has to sort deliberately although working with this keyboard. Often you'll believe you created get in touch with with a essential but essentially did not- Seriously not that excellent for gaming. They keys are packed in tight, and you'll hit a lot of the wrong keys to begin off- Braided cord is a tiny annoying. It's rigid and has currently started out fraying where it meets the keyboard The gloss finish isn't as undesirable as some say. Just preserve a microfiber cloth around to wipe it with.I wish Razer would invest much less dollars on extravagant packaging and use these savings to much better their items.

Comment:
Quality - Keys are laser etched and filled and important switches are attached to a solid metal backplate. Cord is braided cotton. Powerful style - features some minor alignment optimizations from the common keyboard design (takes a bit receiving used to). The macro keys are simple enough to access, but not capable to get in the way. Value - Incredibly effectively priced for a keyboard of this caliber Not generally recognized at startup - hitting any key quickly will often get it recognized, at times not. Disconnecting it and reconnecting it will usually identify it, but only if completed at a particular time. This is in no way commonly a problem, because its commonly automatically recognized by the time it reaches the login screen, but for bios play, its hell, since there is only about a three second window to get it disconnected and reconnected, Only poor high quality mechanical keyboards have ever been priced this low, even Newegg's own brand, Rosewill, sells theirs for 贄. I extremely recommend this keyboard to anyone dissatisfied with typical keyboards. If you appreciate the silence of standard membrane keyboards, then you will be unhappy with this product, as the keys make a click as they are hit. For typists, the click is vital.
