Purchased two, 1 for myself and one for my friend. Turned out that the day I gave it to him his laptop or computer began to die and we employed his to figure out that it was a power supply problem. Can short a few issues if you don't follow the directions. READ the directions! They are there for a reason!

Offers a digital readout of იV1/ƳV/Ʊ.3VǛVSB/იV2/-12V voltages put out by the PSU. As effectively as the power excellent signal duration in milliseconds. Audio signals. Voltages/ LED lights, decent values to see if the PSU falls outside values. Excellent price. No info on which orientation or position to plug the 24 or 20 pin, and P4, P6 or P8 connectors in. Answer: Tab up identical side as LCD display.See the pictures in the mfg. manual for 20 pin location: rexususa.com/PSU.html Make positive 24 + P4 or P8 are plugged into the motherboard and boot up program even though testing peripheral connection voltages so it is below load. Sadly all you get is a green light or audio signal if energy is superior or poor for three.3V, 5V and 12V lines. Please note, a fail is a fail, but a pass is meaningless since the PSU is NOT getting tested below load.

Effortless to use and inexpensive. Pretty darn accurate tested against full-sized testing equipment. Has proved itself of incalculable worth more frequently than I can keep in mind. Not genuinely that large a con, but as other people have noticed, the instructions do leave really a lot to be desired. Properly worth each penny to test a PSU prior to you put it in your system, or determine if yours has gone poor.

Works like it's supposed to...as far as I can tell. Haven't tried all the plug ins yet although. Digital rocks! Looks fairly cool. Made properly. Didn't see the name "Rexus" anywhere. In truth, there's no name to be seen at all. Came in a pink box. Seems sort of like a black marketplace item. Doesn't even say "Made in China"; doesn't say that it's produced anywhere. Clearly not made in USA based on the choppy English and little instruction book that opens the wrong way. I've only used it to test my working energy supply. It kept beeping at me the first time I tried it simply because you're supposed to also plug in the cpu energy cable, so I did that and then all was fine. Not even a printed web site address or contact info. of any type.

Provides immediate readout and shows fluctuations. If any of the readings go outside and acceptable range, it beeps. Can't be a lot more easy to use. I advocate it. None. Some comments stated that the documentation is lacking. The product is not that complex to use. I identified the documentation gave me every little thing I needed. I had 3 power supplies sitting about from upgraded systems. I very quickly found that 1 was no longer worth saving.

Nice display, doesnt brief your energy supply if your a dummy and dont read the directions, or the NOTE on the unit saying not to put a 4p in the 6p slot (stupid me)tests voltages terrific, tested a 600 watt raidmax and a 700watt raidmax quantamtested just about every voltage nicely, and each power supplys did great it beeps at you the whole time your testing molex/sata/floppy connectors, it doesnt beep so lengthy as you have a 4ǜǞp connector plugged in, but then it also wont show the right voltages for the molex connectorsIt also wont rate the ư connectors for PCI-E and such, no large deal really would be nice to tone down the beeping, also the tester wont light up the LCD if you JUST plug in a molex/floppy/sata and not a 20 or 24p connector, but it does light up the LEDs confirming that you input a 5vቨv power plugThis unit tests 20p as effectively as 24p, 4p, 6p, 8p, 4Ʋp, Molex, Sata, 4p floppy, and it works terrifici managed to try and brief it out with the 1st connector i plugged in Ɣp into the 6p slot) and i got a spark and the unit smells a bit funny now, but it Still WORKS! and it didnt kill the power supplyFantastic product, you cant go incorrect, if you strategy on getting a power supply on a terrific deal additional than a couple of weeks prior to the purchase of the rest of the PC (rebates, etc) or if you do many pcs, then GET THISyou wont regret it

Works properly, incredibly valuable and low-cost. Worth the funds just save time troubleshooting. Box and device looked like it was drug across concrete for half a city block, it was scratched to hell on one of the corners. It works fine and I don't feel like bsing with the RMA if it works. It is extremely handy in testing a PSU, saves a lot of time.

Aluminum casing & SATA connection... Looks cool??? DEFECTIVE LCD right out of the box. No damage to unit or packaging. The SATA connector does not have an index so be cautious to put it on the right way... Get the CoolMax one with out the LCD... The LCD is not needed. Your just testing for a poor power supply, not scoping it for accurate voltage patterns... And if you were, you wouldn't be using a sub-ฤ meter to do it... (Doh!)Would have been good if the LCD wasn't defective and had to pay for return shipping...

Straightforward to read display. Does what it claims to do, mostly... The instructions are fairly poor. For instance, it took me a small while to figure out what can and cannot be inserted at the exact same time. IIRC, the 20ቴ pin MB principal power cord have to be inserted, and from there you can turn on the PSU and test individual connections 1 at a time.Regrettably, I got a new PSU and this tester told me the 3.3V memory line was too high. I was nervous to commence employing the PSU so I tested a identified excellent PSU with the unit. The known superior PSU showed a low voltage on a 5V line. This went against what had been reported in the BIOS for that PSU. So I plugged the new PSU into an old machine and sure sufficient, it was supplying the right voltage on the 3.3V line. So in summary, it appears some PSUs need to have a load on them, and this tester will not give that load. Thus, you could get false reports of incorrect voltages. Absolutely nothing, other than to read my Cons.

Used it on two energy supplies. 1st one the tester just flashed; second 1 showed a low current with 1 pin (bad energy supply). Gave it to a buddy told her how to use it. She told me that all the pins indicated low existing. She ordered power supply for her computer. It works. Works on 20 and 24 pin PSU. None at this time Saves money from disgarding the complete pc. Worth the income.

Double check the volts with a volt meter it was just off by .1 volt just like its says.Sata energy slot is not as bad as they say just slow down and look at it to make positive your plugging it in correct. It only fits 1 way any way. If you cant plug in a lamp to a outlet in your home don't acquire it. LOL The 20/ 24 power connector and the four pin molex is a bit difficult to unplug. But once more slow down and pull out even. This is a ฤ item !!!!!!!!!!

Covers (I think) all the power connections you would require. Appears sturdy, good LCD screen. I wish it could somehow be a lot more precise as to which wire is problematic, but it is still fairly superior regardless. Does precisely as advertised.

Low expense, aluminum chassis, clear and readable blue backlit display. Horrible instructions. I ordered one of these a couple weeks back, it was DOA. Newegg's RMA was smooth as usual. I received the replacement right now and tested all 25 mystery energy supplies in the dusty box behind my workbench. The unit works fine. I gave it three stars due to the horrible directions.
