Had absolutely no problems with it. The screws do seem a little easy to damage, and the holes did not line up exactly right, but I was careful and nothing went wrong.

I was looking for an inexpensive enclosure that that would work with the WDHDTV-Live. I was not sure if it would work but it did. Very inexpensive and has a sleek look to it. The only odd thing is the USB cable is Type A male to Type A male which is not as common if you need an extra cable. Will buy another.

The usb part works OK, but the case is very cheap. The sleeve that comes with the kit is very slippery and the entire enclosure can slip out very easily, causing catastrophic results.

Great deal, was everything I wanted. I ran into one problem though, the case was too small for my HDD so I actually inserted the drive in the IDE case from the same folks. Works perfectly though as a portable drive now, just the sizing issue which may have been my bad. Would buy several!!

It is a great case. Works perfectly everything is great quality. They just need to find a way closing up the case that doesn't use tiny self tapping screws into plastic. No matter how careful the installer they tend to strip rather than tighten which happened to one of mine.

I bought this to put my old dell hard drive in. Took less than 10min and had a portable 80gb hard drive. For $10

I had an old laptop that wouldn't boot. This enclosure enabled me to get everything I needed off of the hard drive. Good value for what I needed.

I had a 500GB Toshiba portable hard drive that stopped working. I brought this and took the hard drive out of the Toshiba casing and put it in this one and got my portable hard drive back. Works get now. I would recommend this product to others. Thanks Sabrent.

I don't think everyone had that problem where your computer can't recognize (see) this drive at all. Most people with that problem probably found the way to fix it on the web, but everything failed for me and that enclosure is now useless and I'll trow it away... Even after emailing a full description of my problem (system specs, etc...) to the support at Sabrent, they simply answered: ''you need to format the drive''...how do I format a drive windows can't detect... anyway I wish you better luck than me (by the way since then I bought a brand new computer with windows 9 and same problem...so it was not my machine)

If you need a SATA to USB 2.5 enclosure, this drive works brilliantly. It's not fancy, but it does its job with aplomb; there's a lot to be said for that.

Worked as advertised, turned an extra hard drive into a portable one. Fit and Finish could have been better but overall very happy with my purchase.

You get what you pay for, and in this case, you get a cheap feeling enclosure. It's not all bad though, it works just fine, it looks nice, and its perfect for what I need.

I have several other disk enclosures but bought this one for $10. It's not worth $10. This plastic case held together with sheet metal style screws. Drive is not always recognized. I don't have this problems with any of my other drive cases. Pay extra get a lot more.

This enclose is a great price and works great. Used it for an old drive out of my Macbook Pro. Plugged the panel into the drive and slipped the drive in the case and was up in running in 5 minutes. Only downside is the drive never goes to sleep. But I would be almost all these low budget enclosures do that.

I ordered two hard drive enclosures for two lap tops with fried mother boards. I placed the order on a Friday and they arrived on Tuesday. The enclosures are incredibly simple to use and within 10 minutes of picking up the package I was able to access the hard drive. Awesome product! Highly recommended.

This little enclosure is small but sturdy. I popped in a 320GB drive and it works great. Came with a split USB, in case you need additional power, but one USB plug was all I have needed. Works with both my Mac and Win PCs.

Will not fit a Fujitsu 160 GB drive out of my Sony laptop. The drive is just to fat to fit. I will be bringing the case back.

I bought 2 of these, one ata and one sata. Both work great. Strongly recommend this item. can't go wrong for the price.

This does the job, although it has the capability of using a second USB port to boost the power. A useful feature would have been to add a 5V power slot for a power adapter. Otherwise solid value for money.

My WinXP 32bit laptop died. Bought a new Win7 64 laptop, but needed to get my school files off the old one. Worked perfectly to do that. Cleared out the old system files, now I have a nice USB external.

Pulled a 2.5'' drive out of a laptop and use it as an external drive. This product worked perfectly. Surprising for the low price.
