Comment:
Incredibly content so far with this card.Runs actual quiet when idle at 58c and below load runs at about 85c with the fan running at about 30% which you can barely hear.Plays my EA Tiger Woods golf at about 125fps with no lag what so ever and anybody that has owned any TW series games more than the years know that this is really uncommon.Played Black Ops final night with everything maxed out and ran at around 130-160fps. It runs fairly hot at idle but from the investigation i've completed 58c is regular. No other cons i've constantly applied ATI over the years and as soon as once more i am quite pleased

Comment:
Card is rapidly at higher res and enabling AA or AF couldn't be far more flawless. Great thing is that beneath load the fan is inaudible at 36% and temps rarely hit above 80C. It's a superior option over Cypress lineup because of enhanced tesselation. If you fancy green team then GTX 570 is option. This 6970 replaces my very good old GTX 295, plus the radeon is far more effective. The length is about ten.5 inches but if you want the very best then that's what you get. Mine came with shaved power connector but no huge deal. This card lets me push greater levels of AA and 2GB of memory appears to have endless capacity. At least that's how playing Crysis ʈxAA and 1080p feels like. My GTX 295 could manage 4xAA but not 8xAA and even then it was not as fluid in heavy scenarios vs HD 6970. I run this with i5 750 ʃ.6GHz.

Card is amazing, just not the one particular I got. Plugged the card in, posted to windows and froze. Rebooted and pc posted to bios, then froze. At that point the motherboard was fried. Dunno if it was the luck of the draw, or if somebody at newegg or further up the chain dropped the item.Confirmed the energy provide was not the issue. Still dont know if the processor, ram, or other components took a hit.. I'd advocate that anybody installing this product have it tested in an affordable method, as mine was not and I'm out a very good deal of money.

superior solid card none that i know of pay attention to the outputs. one of the DVI outputs is only a single link and will not assistance a 2560 x 1600 resolution. the display port to DVI converters are rather iffy presently and you have to make sure to get the right type (not the cards fault). wish individuals wouldn't put high knowledge when they miss this uncomplicated stuff.

Lightning fast card, excellent image top quality with AA/AF/etc. Immediately after tons of troubles with my 4870 this new ATI card was a godsend, i've skilled troubles and setup was as uncomplicated as plugging in the included HDMI cable. My faith in ATI is entirely restored and I program to purchase one more 1 of these in the future. It's Huge and a bit on the noisy side, but I run with pc case open - I think about it's not genuinely a massive problem for those with closed towers. In truth, neither of these are critical complaints I am thrilled with this product.

I own a pair of these in Xfire configuration with my I7-970. amazingly quickly these cards bring every thing to the table such as almost 100% scaling. They are big, Running a pair will nearly absolutely call for a full tower. They can also be hot and noisy with typical fan profiles. Make confident you download msi afterburner. It's far superior to AMD's overdrive built into catalyst. I waffled back and forth between these and a pair of EVGA 570's. In the end I'm glad I went with these for the crossfire config.

Man, can be a genuine jet engine above 50% fan.Run's a bit hot on default @ full load, but just use CCC and run fan up to 40% Extended, Just fit in my full tower, had to leave hard drive slot clearDrivers will need some work Upgraded from 4870 to this card and was expecting a small much more. Believed the 4870 just could not deal with newer games,So when this card only did somewhat superior, starting checking issues, identified I had negative core in Athlon X2 5000 which is a little dated anyway, Soooo, time to order new CPU and motherboard, On the way LOL.

Awesome video card, greator than or equal to the 570 gtx but suppose to scale greater in crossfire (incase down the road ya get one more), + eyeinfity. But I ended up obtaining both a 570 and this since I love nvidia but wanted to give ati a try as well, honestly, the 570 definetly gets greater fps in most games (use it in my lan party pc), but eyeinfinity is just crazy entertaining and the entire point of a 2gig ram vid card imo. Of course single display max fps with everything on, even rediculsaly demanding games like metro and crysis @ 1080. If you got the $, no cause not to get this card =). I wish I had a crossfire capable board so I could get an additional one. Waiting on the new bulldozer though before i upgrade the mainboard =). My main setup is housed in an antec 1200, this card max under full load hit 77 c max, Also I was in a position to overclock it to the max it would allow, fully stable, 950 core, 1450 memory. Ran artifacts for 20+ hrs (actually forgot i left it on lol). Overclocked max temp at 77 C under full load. (Using msi afterburner). Space temp is around 72-76 F. Max fan speed I got was 37, nonetheless really silent, doesnt get noticeable till 45+.

-faster than my HD5870, 2GB, Display Port, Excellent CrossfireX scaling and if configured properly, wonderful CX in all games. I purchased three of these cards and one of them had heat concerns out of the box: the temperature climbed to ㆔c under 5 mins with ㆒% load, even though the other 2 identical cards are ㆆc (all 3 idles at 36-38c with gpu250/mem150). Same issue even soon after I switched its pcie slots or isolated it. Even with its heat concern it worked "fine" due to the fact its fan kept the temp from going past 92c, while it becomes noisy as hell at that point. I right away sent it back for an replacement. So...I urge anybody who buys this or any video cards to check their load temps proper out of the box or it may possibly burn up sooner than you hoped. For configuration software you need to absolutely check out RadeonPro. If you're running CrossfireX and particular older games don't run as well as a single card attempt Forcing on a CrossfireX Profile in the Tweaks section just before you attempt to disable it all together, doing so fixed my fluctuating framerate dilemma in Dragon Age and Mass Effect (both using Mass Impact CX profile). Also make confident you allow Triple-buffering (for Direct3D) if you use VSync. If you use a wide gamut monitor like me (Dell U3011), enable "Use Extended Display Identification Information (EDID)" in the color settings of Catalyst Control Center if the over-saturated colors in games bother you so. Delight in your new card!

This card worked proper out of the box. Installed the ten.12a hotfix drivers and haven't had an concern but. As Expected runs all games Maxed out in the 1900x1200 setting. *Using Two monitors hooked up to DVI also worked flawlessly with no concerns. *Ordered when it had cost-free shipping.*Power pins on best of the card. Size, The card is 1" longer than my 4870 but that was expected. Just moved a tough drive and it fit in my full atx case. This card replaces my 4870 that I purchased 2 years ago which was nonetheless running games really properly but I had the money to upgrade and get myself a xmas present. Card preforms pretty significantly the very same as the 570 at almost the similar price. At this point it's pretty significantly a user option. I prefer Amd so I bought the 6970.

The video card runs cool and quiet. On load, temps hit about 70 degrees Celsius with an ambient temp of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I upgraded from an EVGA 8800GT and I can\'t hear the fan on load. The only time I hear the fan is on boot up. In addition to becoming cool and quiet, the video card also plays all my games (such as STO, BFBC2, and Starcraft II) on the highest settings. For giggles, I even installed Crysis which ran like butter on Ultra settings. It's lengthy, so be confident you have sufficient clearance in your case. I play AmrA two. Draw distances with highest video is for Incredibly smooth frames is about 3.four +/-.1 kM. Excellent card, I have two crossfired. Some reason although, the ingame Š benchmark only gave 18 fps, probably from other program information bottlenecks. No card set-up in the world that I can believe of can run this games settings out to max with 10kM draw distances with no fps problems! In ArmA two, with the 1.09 and OA 1.59 patches, you need to Anti-Aliasing completely off, or vegetation will turn entirely white. I don't know if this is a card problem, I don't play any other games, and I have not played an unpatched version of ArmA 2. This card is awsome bang for the buck if yer into ArmA two. I also did not obtain this card from newegg, though, since I'm on Okinawa and couldn't wait two weeks for mail.

This card is just awesome. I wasn't able to play poor corporation 2 so I figured it was time for a new rig and I decided on this card and I'm glad I did. Test 1-Bad Business 2: I have the settings entirely maxed, AA at 8x and Filtering at 16x. Running at 1680x1050 and once again with all settings as high as they can go. In the middle of a battle with explosions, running via smoke, you name it I have not had any slowdowns what so ever. FPS is staying above 55fps at all occasions. Test two-Star Craft two: All settings are maxed, "Ultra" and a test was carried out on a custom map named Zillion Zerglings. 8 ppl hold off massive waves of zerglings and getting focused on the action I experienced no slowdown at all. Also made a custom game in between myself and AI maxing out my unit cap and sending them all more than the map and getting them mass in the enemy base and but once more no slowdown. Just an awesome card. Only real problem which doesn't bother me that a lot since either my speakers are on or I have a headset on but if I turn down the volume I can hear a whine coming from the fan of the graphics card occasionally during gameplay not when idle or browsing the internet, and so on... This card is wonderful, I ordered mine on launch and go it two days later and its been running excellent ever since. Install was a breeze and the 10.12 drivers function properly. I've been playing Mass Impact two, BFBC2, and STALKER at max settings with minimal difficulties. Mass Effect two looks much better on my machine than on my roommates Xbox. Runs fairly cool, I'm finding around 50 degrees Celsius at idle and it hits about 75 degrees Celsius in gameplay. Great bang for you buck. This card is big, and i mean Huge. I have a mid size ATX case and i was definitely worried about it fitting. Luckily i have a space in between my drive bays that permits it to fit in nicely. Fan can be a little loud at occasions but thats to be expected with these cards. I was running 10.11 for the very first few days I had it and it crashed my entire system when playing BFBC2. I have due to the fact updated to 10.12 and have moved some of the wires in my case away from the fan and haven't had any trouble given that though. Wonderful card! Most bang for you buck at the moment. Be warned taht this card is giant and you will either want a nicely setup mid-size case or a full tower.

I upgraded to two of these cards from 2x Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X OC 1GB. I tried to overclock those cards from the Core Clock of 870 MHz and Successful Memory Clock of 1050 MHz with no good results. I had complications with 1 of the cards, and I had a good RMA expertise with the manufacturer, which created me want to continue to be a consumer of theirs in the future. Anyway, my old cards would idle at about 70 degrees C and would run extremely hot. These new cards overclocked to 950MHz GPU and 1450MHz Memory (go ahead and attempt it if you get this card as well) without any problem and they idle at 50 degrees C. My 3DMark 11 score went from X3336 to X3507, which is not a poor acquire. I would also like to note that these cards are operating quieter than the cards I had from prior to. This is not really a con, but I had to eliminate a the upper tough drive bay in my Antec P182 case to make space for the two video cards. Also I had to rethink my cable management. It was manageable though. I saw the size of these cards in comparison to my prior ones, and I was concerned for a moment that they would not fit. Make sure you have enough space for the cards prior to generating the acquire. So in reality I can not feel of something negative to say about the cards. I do drink a lot of coffee although, and a female friend of mine asked if they make coffee. Sadly, they do not. This reminds me of when I worked at a tech bench, and an elderly consumer brought in her laptop. She said that her coffee holder had broken. I wondered what she meant for just a moment, and then I realized that she employed her optical drive to hold her coffee mug. I explained that is not the suitable use for the device, and I went on to clarify what it is utilised for and have had a very good laugh about it due to the fact. My processor is an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T BE, and it is presently not overclocked mainly because of the temperature troubles I would have when I had my other video cards installed. Now that my CPU is hovering about 32 degrees C I need to actually be able to get a good overclock. In the past I have upgraded every single 2 years or so. The oldest card I bear in mind is my Radeon 9700 Pro. I upgraded from that to a Radeon X1800 to a GeForce 8800 GTS Ultra to the 2x Radeon HD 4890. I have for the most part been happy with all of my video card purchases, and this is probably my most satisfying expertise but.

ƦGB GDDR5 - best for operating high resolution games and various memory-demanding mods.*Eyefinity - I don't use this feature (I only have a single monitor) but getting able to use 3+ monitors makes this a great value.*Dual BIOS - great for when your overclocking experiments go bad.*Overclocking - see below *Large card (then once more, which ones aren't these days?) Luckily the energy connector sockets are on the side of the card for convenience.*Power requirements - a single card didn't function with my 600W PSU so I upgraded to an 800W. Works fine now.*Fan noise - commonly not an issue unless you get into overclocking or other tweaking. The auto fan manage keeps it quiet but some circumstances might need cranking up the fan manually.*Heat - these issues run hot when under pressure (e.g. games.) Luckily there's manual fan control alternatives. If you plan on overclocking one of these cards, preserve in mind you will require to do some added tweaking to get about the default clock ranges. Also, voltage tweaking needs you to either A) flash an ASUS BIOS to the card and use ASUS SmartDoctor *OR* B) use the most recent MSI AfterBurner ƒ.1 Beta 6 as of this writing) and edit a config file to allow clock range extensions and voltage tweaking. Preserve in mind that employing these tools is not supported by warranty (probably doesn't concern you if you are an overclocker anyways) and you may possibly have to put up with louder fan noise due to the increased heat generation. Great airflow is a definite requirement.Overall, I found this card to be a great value and would highly suggest it.

Metro2033 brings it to it's knees as shown by tomshardware benchmarks. Runs a little louder than the 5870 and 5850s that I tried. I give it 5 stars however see other thoughts to see why it is a step back. The 5870 eyefinity 6 edition can support 6 display port monitors natively without having needing any additional pricey active adapters. The 6970 only has 2 mini display port 1.four outs and so a display port 1.4 hub would be necessary to have an eyefinity setup with much more than 4 monitors. Regrettably there are no such display port 1.four hubs widely obtainable for retail sale (as of but). I am afraid that when they do lastly go on sale they will cost a lot (贄+). four monitors is no great for FPS games for obvious factors. Originally I was working with three x 1 landscape setup 񣆴 x 1080) and didn't think that I would ever want a lot more monitors. Now that I have been making use of three x 1 portrait setup 񢞤 x 1920) for 2 months I enjoy the higher vert res but don't gain any of the width advantages from landscape. Adding two a lot more monitors for a five x 1 portrait setup 񣂐 x 1920) would be perfect mainly because I would gain the further horizontal fov but with much less warping at the edges. Sadly I can't do that for now. :(
