silent fan, pushes enough air to maintain heat down. silent fan, it's not right away apparent when the fan stops turning. I had this fan installed in my technique for much less than a year when it stopped operating. I didn't understand it had died until I checked the temperature on my technique. It comes with a 2 year warranty, but why would I want one more one?

Comment:
Not an exaggeration, this fan is precisely what a 120mm case fan needs to be: efficient, good cost, quiet, moves a lot of air, effortless install, and quality construction Absolutely nothing to complain about, but I've heard mixed feelings from friends about other Scythe items. So far she looks excellent and doesn't make a peep in my mini-tower Will be purchasing these guys for my next full tower build. I would have purchased five additional but my case only handles 1

I put 4 of these into a Coolermaster Centurion case, and I can barely hear them, though they're keeping my case good and cool. They're not ball bearing fans, so their lifespans may possibly be shortened a bit, but at this price point it doesn't truly matter. Newegg should sell a wider selection of fan filters; I hate getting to go somewhere else to obtain pc gear.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Comment:
Fan moves a lot of air, audible in a silent room, but my room normally has a fan going anyways so no major deal. Employing as an intake fan in my Gigabyte Sumo 4112 and produced a huge improvement. I at 1st when I plugged it in to the case fan header, all 3 case fans plug into one header and from that header into a single fan plug on the mobo, it was only spinning at 500 rpm's. I routed a four pin cable up to the front and plugged the fan into that using the included adapter and then it was spinning at the appropriate speed. I probably could have performed that to the stock fan, but didn't know that at the time and a different fan wont hurt my case. ŭ.99 shipping on this appears a little ridiculous to me, but I'd rather get it here exactly where I know that I wont get abused.

Picked this fan up on sale as I couldn't pass on the sale price. For moving air and cooling off my PC it does an excellent job. Appropriate now I have three case fans for my there all at present running at about 1200 RPM, the primary reason I wanted this one was to replace a case fan that had gotten to loud. Brand new I installed this and its already louder than the fan I wanted to replace. All in all stay away if your seeking for something that quiet.I read that it was suppose to be about 24.00 dBA at 1200 RPM, the dilemma is that its about 40. dBA and is a lot louder than my previous fan. For me it will be a waste of money because I wanted to get a fan that could push a superior amount of air without becoming to loud, sadly I got stuck with this loud fan and am incredibly disappointed. If you want a low cost fan that moves air and don't care about noise pick this up.

Quiet fan, lasts a lengthy time, moves a very good amount of air for the speed and noise None I've had this fan for over two years. In that time, all the Antec fans my case came with have gone bad by either freezing up or making rattling noises. This guy is nonetheless operating powerful and is nonetheless quiet.

Comment:
I use this in an Aerocool M40 SFF case as the sole intake fan and it keeps it additional cool!. It's quite quiet, you have to put your head appropriate up to the front of the Case to even hear it and it pushes practically 70CFM of air!!! Sleeved Cables would have been good but it doesent take away from the efficiency of the fan.

The air flow to noise ratio is quite good. The ideal fan for Intake/Exhaust.Quit complaining about it becoming loud; it's 120mm and produces 68.54 CFM, of course it's going to be loud. I don't complain about Airplanes getting loud because they're going 700mph. The only con about these fans, other than their two-three year typical life expectancy; the number of individuals who waste review space complaining about their noise level.Getting LOUD isn't a Con if it's moving air; it's a Side Affect. No where on the package, or in the description does it say "silent, silence, silencio, quiet, whisper, church mice"If you care sufficient about your components to keep them as cool as doable, you'll deal with the noise.

Quiet. Great CFM:dBA ratio, in particular at this cost. Installed two (intake & exhaust) in an Antec Sonata and can barely hear them from 3'. Does not come with fan grill. Don't genuinely care as I installed these internally, but if it makes a distinction to you, be aware. This is my initially Scythe fan but it positive won't be my last. Applied this to replace a 120x120x38 Panaflo, pushes the same quantity of air (according to my quite scientific detection approach of sticking my hand behind the exhaust to really feel it) at ӭǚ the noise. Temps stayed the identical across the board, possibly even shaved a C or two (they had been already sufficiently cool, so receiving the case quieter was my primary objective). Enjoy these fans.

Comment:
Quiet enough two out of 3 broke inside a year. They really feel like they're moving air around rather then pulling air via them. I purchased 3 of these fans to replace my case fans for the rear, side, and front of the case all facing outward with yet another 80mm fan facing inward. My hardware began overheating and I didn't know why so I looked in my case and located that my rear and front fan had seized up. I'm now buying three new fans from another manufacture so I can finally keep the side of my case attached.

inexpensive and moves the air. comes with the adapter to plug in into the 5 pin molex...if you want. as compared to getting it installed and having to deal with the extra cables in the case. not as qiuet as I would have liked. had to add a resistance adapter to it to get it to slow down. It's not a PWM Ɣpin) get a nexus fan, its worth it

A little bit a lot more airflow than my m40's stock fan Doesn't appear to like becoming obstructed really a lot This is the noisiest piece in my case I use this as an intake fan on an m40 with a coolermaster silent pro and two enermax magma 80mm exhaust fans and stock core duo cooling fan. I keep this fan on full speed and it is generating the most noise out of all of them. I was expecting it to blow a small bit more air than it does

Comment:
Superb product. Really Quiet. I thought at 1200 rpm that this fan would not move much air but it's exceptional. I also bought Antec 761345-75120-9 120mm Case Fan to compare. It's half the cost but at a setting where the air output is the identical as the Scythe SY1225SL12M, it was virtually twice the noise. You get what you pay for. If you want a really quiet case, buy this fan. If you can live with more noise, the Antec fan is a superior buy. It's what is most vital to you. None so far except no switch to slow down the fan.... but who desires to if the fan is whisper quiet at full speed? Can also recommend Antec 761345-75120-9 120mm Case Fans.

wonderful excellent compared to other people in exact same cost range, pushes a excellent amount of air though staying around the 24DBA rating. came with a three-4 pin adapter ! nothing seriously replaced my second yes second Antec Tri-Cool three speed with one of these, pushes about the same amount of air even though becoming quieter at full speed. a small high-priced but not to bad if u r searching for a high quality fan for a decent price though being as quiet as feasible this is the fan for u, quite pleased with it

I'm using this as the sole exhaust on my antec p183. Along with two PWM Slip streams on my cpu cooler, it does an adequate job of keeping my i5 2500k k 4.4ghz cool (65C on load prime 95 in a low-airflow case). the fan is good, quiet, does not buzz or vibrate. currently undervolted to 33% k 700rpm.

I'm using this as an intake fan at the front of my case. It's a little loud. The wire came just a little bit short to reach the slot on the motherboard so I had to use the 4 pin adapter.

Cons:- None

Pros:- Moves a lot of air - Relatively quiet
Comment:
Moves quite a bit of air and does it reasonably silently compared to my old Yate Loons. They are also only marginally more expensive. Gelid's are quieter and come with rubber mounts but these move quite a bit more air for a little bit more noise.

Not Loud. Sweet Airflow. I've got this mutha sucka pointed at my gtx 460 and it keeps her super cool while gaming. Do not regret getting these over Coolermaster ones that ran louder and had an overall lower CFM for a higher price.

Cons:None

Pros:Strong fans, good cooling, Good price
Comment:
These blow much better air than the stock Scythe fans that came with my CM 690 II Advanced case. I have replaced all of the fans in my case with these although I kind of wished i'd gone with a slightly higher RPM (maybe 1600) for a bit more air. Still highly recommended for price/cooling efficency.
