Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None so far

Pros:QuietCheap
Comment:
It's a 120mm fan. Nothing really special about it. It's cheap and it does the job. Also, it's relatively quiet.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None so far...

Pros:Quiet, inexpensive
Comment:
Just got one of these today, to replace a stock Antec case fan, and so far I'm pleased with it. It moves a decent amount of air, and it's rather quiet while doing so. Quite frankly, between this fan, and another I replaced, my computer hasn't been this quiet in years, even though the fans that were in there still seem to work fine.... just that these work better.

Just got this today. Got rid of the Arctic Tri-Cool for this and wow. What a difference it makes. The noise level (or the lack of) beats the Tri-Cool even at lowest rpm (for the tri-cool). No Comparison.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:again 68.5CFM for real?30000 hrs not long enough?

Pros:68.5CFM at 1200RPM only 24DBAextension cable: 3pin male--- 3pin Female/4pin molex very quietfits my coolermaster CM690 wellPrice after PM
Comment:
This sucker has the most CFM among all those 1200RPM fans. I also kinda doubt without the proof of testing.Quiet enough? YES. With the whole system on, i stop the fan with my finger and then let go. no sound differeences. btw, my finger was fine.I use it as my CM690 rear exhasust fan. It actually reads around 1250 RPM from software like Asus probe, Everest, Speedfan. My E8400 system runs pretty cool at this moment. I'll buy the Kaze Jyuni series again. or should i consider the new Gentle Typhoon but it has lower CFM. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-29-09 02:03 PM

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None

Pros:Quiet and pushes a lot of air
Comment:
Bought two of these to replace the exhaust fan on my CM 690 and they definitely push more air than the stock fans and they are almost as quiet. They can easily push through the fan grills at the back. Would be better if there was no grills there but I have yet to find a Dremel kit to borrow. Would by again if needed.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:- None

Pros:- Excellent CFM:dBA ratio- Very reasonably priced
Comment:
I used this fan to replace a generic exhaust fan in my case and MAN! What a difference! It's like night and day.I have it connected to a fan controller to adjust it accordingly. When gaming, I have it running at the full 12V and yes, it IS audible, but that is mostly turbulence (the air being pushed through the metal grill), as opposed to the fan itself. If I want silence, I just bring it down to ~800 RPMs and it is inaudible, yet still pushes plenty of air.I highly recommend this to be used as a case fan with little resistance.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:- ...but low static pressure because its thin blades.- VERY VERY NOISY if you set it for example as in take inside the (Antec Three Hundred) case.

Pros:- Good package as always with Scythe.- Nice price once price-matched.- Lots of CFM...
Comment:
I heard its because of the grills that are in the front of the case which make them noiser. I had to lower these fans from 0.26A to 0.15A in order to make them perfectly silent instead of way too much noisy.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None

Pros:Quiet, Great airflow!
Comment:
This fan is quiet (at only 24dB, it is barely audible), and pushes a great amount of air for the amount of noise. Great if you need a powerful fan that is not very loud. If you need some more power, and don't mind the noise, I suggest that you get the 1900RPM version, because that pushes double the air, and doesnt run as loud as other fans that push similar air.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:A tad noisy

Pros:Reliable, good price

You get what you pay for, and then some! Reliable, really good air flow, fast, and large. It's a tad noisy, but nothing surprising given the good price. I'd purchase another if I needed two.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:A little noisy but if your looking for great airflow for little cash, who cares?

Pros: Great fan, Well worth the money, a bit loud but moves so much air, the posters on my wall move from the airflow from these, you will not be dissapointed.
Comment:
Probably the best fan I've ever had. Noise level is reasonable considering how much air it moves.

I bought some of these fans to replace the stock fans on a Coolermaster HAF and Coolermaster Storm Sniper in a case review, the fans are strong for their low DB levels. I would recommend to anyone who needs some great 120MM fans.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:none

Pros:Extremely quiet, and pushes lots of air
Comment:
Replaced stock fans out of the antec 900 case, and these are quieter and seem to push just as much air than the stock fans on low (the antex 900 stock fans have 3 speed settings). Also comes with an adapter for 4 pin molex, which has a 3pin mobo plugin which allows for speed monitoring through your bios.

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:- None at this price

Pros:- Cheap- Quiet
Comment:
Great fan for the price. Cheap and quiet. Used it to replace my dying Antec Tri-Cool exhaust fan on my Antec Solo. Don't buy Tri-Cool's, they suck the big one. Mine came with my case, and it lasted about a year before it started dying.NOTE: Per the way this fan is designed, I wouldn't use it as an intake fan where there is something directly behind it, or in other high restriction areas. Great fan where it can pull air freely from behind.

Great fans for a great price on sale. I have 3 of these in my Antec 300 and they are quieter than the Tricool fans that came stock. They came with all the necessary hardware for connecting them up and I will be buying them again.

Cons:sleeve bearing

Pros:Great price, Great airflow volumen68.5CFM, 3 pin included not as quiet as id of liked but still tolerable
Comment:
Im happy with the airflow these create....they really move the air from the front of the case to the back fast. As youd expect though i do find them noisier then some. But for the price this is about the best bang for your cooling buck i think youl find.

I bought two of these to replace the fans that came with my Swiftech MCR220 rad, the noise difference is substantial. These fans are much quieter and perform identically. I have not seen any difference is temps since installing these, and I can barely hear my computer now.

Pros:ok static pressure, good packaging
Comment:
I couldnt find a 120mm fan that could move more air with a such quietness, quite dissapointed with the fact that it's a sleeve bearing fan though.to be honest, i can only hear the noise of this thing moving air at a low humm so i rate this at around 20 decibles !!!

Pros:Quite silent, good airflow, good price!
Comment:
The Scythe Slipstream is a very good fan. I put it on my Thermalright HR-01 Plus heatsink and it's a great combo. The fan is not completly silent but still very quiet. Considering this fan is twice as cheap as the very very quiet one it's a good choice.

Cons:(Low Static Pressure?)Nah, I don't really think this is a Weakness :P

Pros:120xMM Specification~1200 +/- RPM~68 +/- CFM24 DBA (Silent!!!)
Comment:
all In all I love these fans, keep the sale on these coming! There are so many comments / reviews / discussion on the forums and display page for this particular Fan, but I must say. a "Low" static pressure fan with 1200 RPM & small "Fins" on the fan itself is NOT a weakness, do not let everyone's comments fool you about this.I have 3x total of these fans (I will definitely be ordering 3x more when they go on sale) and I have to tell ya, I was blow away by these fans, I put all my old fans next to these ones, and whew! what a difference (my old ones were ~3000RPM) and wow, these 1200 RPM's are killing 'em! :)I'm so happy I finally have my Case filled with 4x120 MM fans (Thermaltake SopranoRS 101) :D

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:none

Pros:Silentpush good airPushes lots of air with low rpmcomes with screws and molex adapter for 9.99
Comment:
I bought 7 of these fans. They are near silent, and push tons of air. In fact, they push more air then almost any fan you can reasonably purchase on Ncix. The fact you can get a fan, thats near silent, pushes almost 70CFM of air, comes with all the screws and molex adapter for this price, is insane. Fans that cost $30 are not as good as this.
