Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:colour
Pros:-Price-performance Comment:
bought one of these fans to cool my GPU in a antec 1200 case, they get the job done and then some, move plenty of air to keep things chilly and this doesn't cost a lot so that's a bonus! The performance is great and at $9.99 you couldn't really ask for more A+ product and it's black too! The only thing that sucks about these fans is the short lifespan, so if you'll regret not spending quality time with your fans then look elsewhere! |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Pros:Great airflow for the decibel level
Comment:
I couldnt find a 120mm fan that could move more air with a lower decibel level anywhere, so this is about as quiet as you can expect for the amount of airflow it provides. As an intake fan pointed at the motherboard, it lowered both the motherboard / northbridge temps by 2 - 4 degrees over the stock fan I replaced, and its not any louder, so im happy with its performance. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:-Not quiet
Pros:-High CFM-Good price Comment:
I placed one at the front of my case and it dropped my system temperature by 2 or 3C. Moves more air than the Yate Loon 1350 RPM but is louder too. Will put the Yate Loon back in the fall or winter. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None really - not "pretty" I guess
Pros:QuietBlows like the dickens Comment:
I had heard that these were great fans for case exhaust, but poor fans to use for intake due to the noise they would make. Well, I built a machine with one of this in front intake anyway (and one in exhaust). And let me tell you, the front fan is no louder than the exhaust one, and both are essentially silent. They push a great deal of air, which is great because if I put my hand below the fan for my GPU, I can feel airflow coming in from the front, so I know my video card is getting fed nice, cool air. I would definitely buy more of these fans, especially as intakes. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:None
Pros:Awesomely quiet, high airflow. Comment:
Got a couple of scythes in my case for high airflow. Brought the overall noise in my case down and also the temperatures started dropping. Highly recommended. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:Not much static pressureLow CFM when blocked
Pros:High CFMQuiet Comment:
Scrapped all my case fans for these with a fan controller. These are great fans for exhaust and intake when it's not obstructed by the front bezel.Their CFM at 900RPM is good enough and you don't hear then anymore, in fact, the only thing I hear in my case now is my hard drive.Would buy again. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:does not work well for intake
Pros:pushes lots of airdecently quiet Comment:
so this thing is sleeve bearing...so you shouldn't use it horizontally if you want to preserve its life. However, if I put my fan horizontally, the fan is much much much more silent than if it was vertical. Vertically, it makes a high pitched whiny sound. Also, if I put this fan as exhaust, boy does it blow. Blows a lot of air out for the amount of air it makes. I put the fan on intake and that was not good. The fan became so loud. I deduced that this was the intake problem because if I put my hand where the intake port is, the sound would get louder and louder. In summary, sucks for static pressure, good for exhaust |

I price matched it to 6 something so its a good deal. Put 4 in my stacker 832. Not silent but relatively quiet for the amount of air they move. overall a good buy. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:-don't create lots of static pressure for tight areas
Pros:-fairly quiet operation for the relatively high volume of air they move Comment:
Good fan overall, quite suprised at how much air it moves vs the amount of noise it makes. Have a couple in my case and they seem to do the job. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:none
Pros:-low noise, close to silent-great airflow Comment:
I bought this fan as an addon for my father's PC. Personnally, I prefer higher CFM fans but I've been really impress by the airflow VS noise of this fan. I installed it as an exhaust fan and the first time I started the PC after plugging it, I was thinking it was not fully working probably due to mobo's fan management since it was not audible. I reboot, went to bios and woah, it was turning v1298 rpm. I can't even hear it over his AMD stock cooler. I will probably stock up a few of these if they ever go on sale as replacement for some others annoying fans. |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:not silent?
Pros:move lots of air (almost 70cfm m 24db)audible, but quiet Comment:
i was getting really sick of the blue led fans that came with my case and im throwing a custom WC loop into the case so i picked up 8 of these babys. you can hear them but they are not overly loud, and after looking and white blue-led exhaust fans for 6 months its nice to have some plain black ones. the other 6 fans are installed on two 2x120mm rads (1 has 2 fans in pull and the other has 4 fans in push/pull). not the highest cfm fans and not the most silent, but these strike a great balance between the two. would buy again and would recommend to anyone |

Scythe SY1225SL12M "Slipstream" Case Fan
Cons:none really, maybe the life expectancy compared to other fans but they are more expensive so...
Pros:Suprisingly quiet, moves a good amount of air Comment:
I use this as an exhaust fan on the rear of my case and am quite pleased with it. It's noise signature seams to be less noticable than my Noctua SF-12 which suprised me as I was very happy with the Noctua. On sale this is a great deal. |

Quiet, well constructed 120mm case fan. Ability to use as intake or exhaust fan. Good noise to Cfm ratio. |

Cons:Ever difficult to use fan screws, otherwise none.
Pros:Quiet!Lots of air flow. Comment:
A quiet 12cm fan that blows a lot of air. I wish I could buy a dozen of these but budget prevents me. ;) |
I bought four of them with a fan controller to cool my setup in an Antec 900. Does the job very well and its very quiet when I ajust the voltage with my controller. Would buy again!
