i wanted to use all the usb possibilities that my MB offered, so i got this and went from 8 to 12. that ought to last me a when. it sucks to keep swapping cables or devices mainly because i want to use some oddball point. now i just leave most stuff i use a lot plugged in the rear, and use the front for frequently swapped devices. housing was very tight in both situations i've utilised it with.cables are a bit rigid

Utilized these several instances just before to simply upgrade old circumstances to USB 2, 1394 and current audio connection. The three.5" bay locations also make for straightforward access to plug flash drives in (why the old situations had the front USB hidden and/or placed in hard to access spots was just poor engineering) NOT USB ver3 and the Value went up just about 20% whats the deal from when I purchased one particular ahead of. If value doesn't right itself I'll just get new low cost cases as ROI is driven towards that.

Needed an AZALIA hd connection for my MSI. mobo and seen this on Newegg. Pluged appropriate in and worked from the start. None. If you’re hunting to add a front audio connection then this is it. It supports ac󈨥 and azaliz higher definition.

Strong as a rock building. No low cost plastic to break. four Front USB ports, front mic and audio, front firewire 400. no Firewire 800 port... To use all four USB ports you have to have two free of charge internal USB headers. (I did not and required a PCI add-on card with added headers) I bought this simply because my case had no frontal ports at all. This issue functions as advertised, and has incredibly solid, quality really feel to it. When I plug in a flash drive there is no flex on the USB ports, and all ports have USB 2. speeds. Not actually a big adequate challenge to list as a con, but the headphone jacks are incredibly tight. This signifies a tiny further force than you'd expect is needed to insert them, but it also implies a quite safe connection. All in all, I like this panel sufficient to warrant five stars, and a recommendation to any person considering it.

Installation was straightforward, no hiccups. Now I have simply accessible audio and USB ports! DON'T USE USB AND HEADPHONES! With headphones plugged in I can hear a quite loud clicking interference noise. It goes away when I unplug my USB cables from this device. Luckily I have other USB ports on the front of my computer. They should have shielded the audio. I don't notice the interference with my powered speakers, but it's painful with headphones. It still get's a 4.

Making use of in an old emachine case, (test develop), so far so great. Come on folks, we have finally got away from floppies, now let go of the fire wire! Rolled mine up on top rated, out of the way. On the USB front, go with a standard 9 pin plug instead of 4, 4pin and 4 singles. Going to go through my salvage and see if I have any prior to i move to the other case. This will go in an old Ultra case that only had USB and FW, no audio, G41RQ Intel board.

Adds front USB and Firewire connectors as nicely as Audio connectors Worst directions ever. Anyway, the USB heads are split in two (so that two of then go to one Pin header on the mobo) Also, there is a seperate single pin cable with the USB, you do not need to have to plug this in to anything. Design and style appears flimsy, but is actually fairly sturdy.

Operates as advertised. Compatible with ACྜྷ and Azalia audio headers. Appears excellent with a black Lian-Li case. To date, has in no way created me coffee in the morning. The audio ports are kinda tight, at least with my headphones, so you kinda have to push when you plug one thing in. No large deal, just make confident you screw it in tight in the drive bay.

HD audio front panel support for older cases, plus these nice added USBs and a firewire jack. Fits well in an unused three.five" external slot. If you use USB device(s) at the very same time as working with headphones, be prepared for a nice 60 htz hum in your audio. The connectors for the USB motherboard pins are a bit cheesy and can be incorrectly attached. As well bad they didn't somehow isolate the USB from the audio circuitry. If they had, I'd given this product a solid 5 eggs. As it is, for me it's a mixed bag; quite frustrating.

Front panel for media center that fits in a floppy disk slot. Effortless to hook up. Worked instantaneously. None! the 1394 is kinda useless general. Could have just used a lot more USB ports. Fairly pleased even though.

Fantastic design, clear instructions, labeled wires. The instruction sheet described also all the person pins. Not really any. The plugs are difficult to handle, but i've not seen any far better for motherboard pins anyway. A should if you have far more usb port on your motherboard than the quantity supported by your current case !

Front audio ports operate on my Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio card with an Intel HD Audio (aka "Azalia") connector. Created of metal and appears nice in the case. Four cables for four USB ports? Properly that's a very first. The firewire connector has a bunch of individual pins sticking out of it, and I have no doubt that there doesn't exist a circumstance where those would really be used. The finish of the audio cable is especially messy with an Intel HD Audio connector, an ACྜྷ connector, and a bunch of lovely person pins. Got this panel mainly because my Antec P180 case comes with an ACྜྷ audio connector, so I could never use the front audio ports considering that that connector is only for antique motherboards. Following purchasing this panel though, I've got speakers connected in the back and a headset connected in the front.

Operates good, does every little thing it need to do. Has FireWire. Low-profile, matte finish fits in with the rest of my case. USB pins are a bit annoying, as you have to place the four-pin connector and the ground separately, but not seriously a problem, just a tiny hassle. Operates perfectly. Silverstone is a good brand.

Best high quality building and materials. This is a properly made solution. Cables are top rated good quality with shields. Connectors and cables are totally encased in a molded housing that is inside the aluminum case - this ensures that your case fans don't pull any air, dust and dirt through these connectors. NONE Newegg shipping is crazy quickly - wow.

Strong construction. Really tight match in bay. Header jumpers all created sense and worked flawlessly. Could have made USB header jumpers as a plug alternatively of person, but no major deal. I don't know why people say this is flimsy. Mine is strong metal with jacks extremely firm. Plugs By no means have fallen out.

This fits into a 3.5" drive bay quite effectively (albeit quite snugly in my case). Offers additional front USB ports than I'll ever want but that's OK. A single of the USB ports doesn't look to operate. Microphone port doesn't appear to have as considerably obtain on it as it should. One particular or both of these could quickly be my motherboard although, see below. Employing an ASUS P5N-D motherboard.

The unit is produced from aluminum. The four USB ports, 1394 port and the audio ports all work perfectly. None I purchased this panel to replace the problematic 1 on my CM Elite case that is more than a year old. Apparently, the USB ports on the Elite and HAF circumstances appear to create a shut down difficulty when you plug in a USB device. My case only has 1 external 3.five slot as the other is a dummy slot for the external USB ports. I removed the USB ports that came with the case , moved the three.5" cover to that position and installed this panel in the slot. It appears like the case came with it and the unit works fantastic.

Ftis in three.5" bay, Comfort of expansion, it's USB two., works with Vista, relatively simple to install. Tight fit in my 3.five" bay (it could be my case even though), cable connectors are all split up - took some time to connect every thing spot on to my motherboard. All of the loose connectors certain make a messy/cluttered case interior. Fantastic solution overall ! It does it's job and Vista recognized all connections appropriate away. Utilized in a new Computer Build for my father. His Pc: ASRock 780G Motherboard. AMD 4850e CPU, Samsung 320GB Really hard drive, LG lightscribe DVD writer, 4GB A-Information DDR2-800 RAM, Antec PSU and case,Vista Ultimate 64bit, and this little gizmo. He uses this Pc for web/personal finance/ video editing. The new AMD CPU that I put in this develop is excellent - reduced energy consumption, quick dual core, and low cost. Program is really cool and quiet.

works flawlessly. quite well place collectively. and sharp seeking. usb header plugs are a tiny diverse than most case harnesses (if you are accustomed to working with cases with front usb ports), but effortless to figure out. documentation is poor. i didnt require it...so, meh. make confident you realize this is for a three.5" drive bay...not a five.25" bay. lol, i didn't(i didnt spend focus to the solution description). i place it in an AMD themed case mod that i constructed that didn't have front ports (the case is oooooold...like socket 462/socket A old), so a tiny additional modding didnt hurt. works like a charm and fairly cheap. the case turned out sick. if i could post pics right here i would.

What can I say, it is what it is. Simple hook up, and im glad it had four total front usb ports. None genuinely. Got this for my Thermaltake Armor case. It has the ports on the leading, which my case is above my monitor, so i necessary a decrease usb and audio ports. This did the trick and looks fantastic in my Armor also!
