Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:buttons in the way over-sensitive

Pros:Illumination is good, solidly designed and built, very precise and good feeling
Comment:
This mouse overall seems very well designed and built. However I have had issues with the aluminum body feeling slippery and getting sweaty after prolonged use. The rubber feet as well (keeping in mind they are rated to last just as long as the rest of this well built mouse) look and sometimes feel like they would be the first to quickly deteriorate, however after trying them on several surfaces they do maintain an impressive glide and minimal scratching even on harder surfaces. The one major issue with no redemption that I have noticed is the 4 side buttons. With use in either hand the buttons seem easily clicked, and while they can be disabled, remind me of more cheaply made mice. Overall I feel going with the slimmer side buttons (unable to rest fingers on them unlike some larger yet more firm buttons) takes away from this mouse

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Expensive

Pros:CustomizationGood QualityGood Shape
Comment:
Greatest mouse I've ever owned. I'm a avid FPS player that's currently playing Counter-strike: Global Offensive and other FPS's. I perfected my mouse by tweaking almost every setting it had from exactlift to exactaccel. Although it can be expensive for some, I HIGHLY recommend saving up to get this mouse. And hey, you can make your own little picture and display it under the mouse!

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:I often missclick the right side button (it's an ambidextrous mouse). Steelseries got major issues with them software.

Pros:Mouse react quickly, nice design
Comment:
The mouse is very good, but even after 2 month, I can't use it to it's full potential has Steelseries have no drivers for Windows 8.1 (even if it has been release today). When you install the drivers for Windows 8 on Windows 8.1, it litteraly "broke" Windows files (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\steelbus64.sys block Windows 8.1 from booting). It's a major issue and Steelseries know this from june 1st and still no new release of the software yet. Since I had these problems (Had to format my PC 3 times while testing different things), I'm going to give a 3 star rating.

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Pricey

Pros:Hyper customization, sleek, ambidextrous, good number of fully programmable buttons (7), On board ARM CPU.
Comment:
Overall the best gaming mouse I've ever owned. The customization is like nothing else. Due to the fact it has an on board CPU, all profiles and settings are stored in the mouse itself, as well as taking away some (very little) but some of the processing from your main CPU for calculating mouse movements. There is an LCD screen on the bottom, in which you can fully customize everything about the mouse (As well as UI software for when you're actually in windows/not in a game, but the LCD is a very nice touch as you can adjust on the fly.Cpi is a more efficient method of measurement than DPI, making for a more accurate mouse.I can go on and on, I would recommend this mouse to almost anyone; with the exception being people building on a budget.

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:-A bit too big for myself-Side buttons

Pros:-Aluminium Top-Customizable lighting-Adjustable CPI-Awesome tracking
Comment:
Overall, this is the best gaming mouse that I have ever owned. I had first a razer mamba, which didn't have as good as tracking and had a slight delay. I had tried the Razer imperator after that, but it kept dying after extended clicks. I couldn't stand razer at that point, so I had gone with steelseries; no regrets at all. The tracking is leaps and bounds ahead of the razer mice, and the aluminium case gives it a nice cool touch. This mouse is a bit too big for my hands, and the side buttons are annoying when I hit them with my ring finger and my middle finger. Besides that, this mouse is a must!

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Right mouse button stopped working after 1 year of use.

Pros:Great Precision. Plenty of buttons. Very responsive
Comment:
I bought this mouse because I am a MOBA player who wanted to take his game to the next level. This mouse accomplished that for 1 year, and now I can't even play minesweeper with this piece of overpriced junk because the RMB doesn't work. I tried taking it apart in an attempt to fix it because the warranty expired a month ago and failed to see anything wrong with it. Since there is no way of doing so without removing the tracking pads, the mouse now grinds across my mouse pad instead of glides the way it used to. DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY A NEW ONE EVERY SINGLE YEAR BECAUSE IT'S STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY IS GARBAGE!!!

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:SteelSeries Engine did not recognize until manual driver updateOccasionally mouse does not connect during boot up(Works fine after you replug the USB)

Pros:$49.99 (HOT Price)Multi Color LEDBraided CablesLCD DisplaySteelSeries Engine Customization
Comment:
Got it on Black Friday for $49.99. At that price it's hard to beat, with all of it's customization that the SteelSeries Engine brings, along with multi-color LEDs and a LCD display that you never see on any other mouse. I have a cloth mousepad and it glides very smooth, but it's also a bit on the light side for my taste.Despite some software glitches, I'd still recommend this mouse if you can find it on sale.

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:-its ambidextrous and the opposite side buttons may bother you and be hit by accident by your pinky finger.(you can disable them completely, however)-surface is not rubberized like the Xai, if you sweat this mouse can get slippery and I find myself wiping my hands and mouse often.-pretty expensive for many features 99% of people won't have a need for (onboard profiles and settings) or things that don't affect gameplay (colors, LCD logos)

Pros:-steelseries software gives you in control of everything, sensitivity, accell, hz, lift of sensor, colors of mouse so you can perfect the movement to your liking.-very good scroll wheel
Comment:
I got this as a replacement for my Xai that I had to RMA because of a faulty middle mouse button. I had some trouble installing the software and updating the firmware, but eventually everything worked out. At first this mouse wasn't tracking well on Steelseries 9HD mousepad, but after messing around with he settings (more specifically adjusting exactlift to 25%)the mouse tracks just fine. I initially had the HZ set to 1000, but I heard that can use more CPU usage so I put it to 500hz.I've used the Logitech MX518's, G5, and G400 in recent years, and coming from a claw grip can take some time to get used to. I think that in the long term this mouse will become more comfortable.Honestly, changing the colors is cool and putting a custom logo on the LCD underneath is awesome and everything but if you don't really care about the aesthetics I would recommend getting the Sensei Raw because its basically the Xai 2.0 and you can get it in a rubberized grip that won't slip for 40$ less.

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:- Since the surface is made of plastic unlike the Xai, it could in theory be more prone to hand sweating.- Very expensive!- 255 Million colors for the LEDS is pure bs. You pick 20 different variant of red and it all gets "rounded up" to the closest of the 16 basic colors.- Not worth the upgrade from a Xai unless you get to sell it first since it's basicly a (Xai v2.0) if not even just a 1.5- Extra DPI over 5000 is totaly useless for 99% people.

Pros:- Built-in CPU is suppose to remove all processing from Windows therefore improve latency, give a brea to ur processor as just using the mouse at 1000Hz on ur desktop will raise the cpu use by a lot more than you'd think. I don't know if it works as they say but if so then it's awesome.- It looks really cool, much better in real than on any pictures where it just look like cheap plastic.- Best tracking sensor. You also reach it's 100% potential on a Steelseries 4HD pad.- Lift Off distance adjustement is new from the Xai, nice addition.- Much better software on the Sensei than Xai that I had before.- Absolute best ambidextrous mouse ever built, don't even look any further. Trust me I've owned over 10 diff mouse and tryed over 25 different over 12 years..
Comment:
I don't know if it's me but the shape seems to be a little bit different. I noticed the top seems lower like I can't reach with my middle finger the "dpi toggle" button the same way I do it on my Xai. I would give it 5 stars without hesitating at all but because of it's very high price I knock it off to 4.

I really don't know how to describe  it, but the silver part of the mouse is very different, almost silky type of feeling, it's not like any other mouse I have ever used.Aside from that, this mouse have full customization, ultra high dpi, change color for all LEDs.

Steelseries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:The new surface is slippery than the rubberized Xai version

Pros:Custom Logo display on bottomMillions of colors to choose from (color wheel)Illuminated pixel logo and mouse wheelSame feel and glide as the Xai but betterBetter ARM processor than the Xai
Comment:
I tested the Steelseries Sensei before it got released a month before initial release date and I have to say that it completely took all the good aspects of the Xai (its predecessor) and improved upon it.First of all the ARM processor is a lot better and they actually have a dedicated driver for this thing now. This means a higher CPI on the mouse as well as better response than the Windows Plug and Play driver the Xai functioned off of.Oh the illuminations they added was something unexpected. Steelseries developed their products for maximum performance & functionality so I was surprised when they mixed it in with the design.
