A great CPU cooler
Cons: Installation directions suck
Pros: Great CPU cooler. Fairly easy to install |

Oh yes, Baby!
Cons: Hey, it's BIG. Make sure your case has room before you order it.
Pros: This bad boy makes water cooling a non-issue as it will handle any heat my QX9770 puts out, OCed or not. Comment:
I replaced the stock fan with a Delta PWM. If your not filmilar with Delta fans, they are the Baddest Boys on the market in terms of moving air. They also, depending on the model, of course, take a LOT of power to run and while most solid Mobos can handle 1 or 2, after that you'll need a SOLID fan controller unit to use more. |

Completely Horrible
Cons: Cools to effectively. Looks to cool. People want to look at it. Keeps my C2Q 6700 at 37*. Cannot here it over my windtunnel fan in the front of the case.Seriously:1. Not PWM controled.
Pros: Umm.... Comment:
If you are getting a exotic cooler you should have already spent a good bit of bonding time with your computer. It clears my side fan in a Thermaltake Soprano with ~1mm to spare. |

BIG
Cons: BIG. Can be a bit unruly during the install. I am limited to new case options because many will not fit this heat sink in them.
Pros: Extremely quiet on its lowest speed setting. Comment:

It is nice
Cons: None
Pros: Its a good cooler with an adjustable fan control. Works like crazy on high. Lets face it, there are coolers that work a little better and cost a little less but this one is the best looking. That was my reason. It looked cool and did the job. Thad added plus was it has the best mount of any cooler. Nice brass screws and strong metal on every part. No cheesy clips here. Comment:
Check your clearance. I have it in NZXT lexa now and it just clears the side fan |

Disappointing
Cons: I have a AMD 5400+ Black edition overclocked from 2.8ghz to 3.2ghz. I was using a stock AMD heatsink w/fan from my friends old 4400+ that he didnt use and it kept it below 36c under full load. with this product, it idles at 40 and hit 51c at full load! Very unhappy. Pain to mount without sliding around and smearing thermal grease to a thin layer to which it really has no effect.
Pros: Looks cool. Comment:
Use a stock heatsink. It works better. |

Super cooling
Cons: This thing is ENORMOUS! The pictures lie, trust me. I was lucky to get a case that would house this thing. I tired it in a X-clio wind tunnel and it would not fit. It's just to wide. It sits about 7 inches off the processor.I have it in my ThermalTake Tsunami Dream it it just barely clears the side fan.
Pros: Well it's one of the best as far as keeping a CPU cool.I have read that it actually does better than water cooling. Comment:
I got the one without the LED fan, and just popped in one that had the lights, but in retrospect, you can't really see the light coming out of this thing. Maybe this new version has a brighter fan, but it's really not important. Be VERY carefull installing this monster. Try to make sure everything is connecetd if possible before putting this thing on the board. I thought I was going to crack the MB in half with the weight of this thing. I have yet to OC my quad core, but I know for a fact it will remain cool if I decide to. |

it works, kinda....
Cons: not easy to install, doesn't read on my motherboard, cheap build...
Pros: it's cheap. it kinda works... Comment:
I bought this due to the fact that it was cheap and had looked as though it might do well, it was hell to install, I have a few cuts to prove it, had to pull out my motherboard and the whole experience was just not good. I get it sitting on my cpu(am2+) and it moves around like it's sitting on ice, I boot the system and the bios tells me that there's no cpu fan, but that's okay because as long as it works it doesn't matter, I run my computer for a while it's doing stellar actually for a little while, getting great temp readings and then the temp spikes while it's not even running the cpu at full load... the thermal compound was still there but due to the instability of the contact and moving around, it had pushed out a lot of the thermal compound and that's the best reason I could think of, getting me a zalman cnps10x I think this will be the one that'll do well with my overclocking! keeping my fingers crossed! |

Tuniq Tower
Cons: It's sorta big in the case. Mounting system is a little troublesome to figure out since the instructions are vague in some areas.
Pros: It is one of the best HSF out there no doubt. I think it needs a little lapping to get the most out if it, but does fine without it. I was getting about 29-33degC idle and around 55-58degC load on a Q6600 @ 3.4 around 1.425vcore. Comment:

Tuniq Tower
Cons: Cooler is very heavey and did not work well for my system. Did not mount well with my am2 mount bracket. Did not cool very good.
Pros: None Comment:
I went with a Coolermaster V8 and it works beatiful. |

Good cpu cooler
Cons: Not really a con but be careful when you put in the pci fan speed adjuster that you don't bend your pci slot thin metal pieces that hold devices because the knob didn't fit through from the inside of the case out. This is my mistake for not pulling out the knob first then putting the pci adjuster bracket then pushing in the knob from the outside, which I later did.Issue fixed.
Pros: Keeps my Q6600 at 39-41C IDLE.Haven't tested it under load yet but I will soon.10-15C cooler compared to the q6600 cooler i've been using.I used Artic Silver 5 and it worked my a charm. Comment:
It's huge. Barely gives me clearance for a 120mm fan above it in my NZXT Zero 2 full tower, but I really like this cooler.Does a really good job keeping my cpus temps down and has a fan speed adjuster which is great. |
![]() Rating: Review Date: 04/17/09 |
What can I say
Cons: It is huge does not fit all cases really easily, and is kinda a pain to install with an AMD chip, just takes some time to get on there.
Pros: Looks cool, the fan is awesome, it keeps the processor super cool. Comment:

Massive but good.
Cons: The compound it comes with. lol. They shouldn't even bother putting that in there. get yourself some artic silver
Pros: Did a burn in test with this thing and it kept my amd 9850 be quad core at 45c the whole time. dispite the thing being so massive they did a good job with the heat pipes. it rises the fins high enough to clear the memory. I have all four dimms filled with gskill pi memory (which has heatsinks on top) and the heatsink clears them. yay. Comment:
This think is massive. I have it in my antec nine huntred and it is 1/4" from hitting the window. Do yourself a favor. when you install this thing, take out the fan from the middle and then replace it when the block is mounted. you will save yourself a lot of trouble. |

Cool...but...
Cons: I ordered the LED product, but they shipped me the non-LED fan. I didn't notice until it was already installed, so I just have bad karma I guess...
Pros: Magnanamous!! Comment:

yay
Cons: Inspired me to let it sit in my office for a few days so people would ask me, "What the hell is that?" In other words, it increased by geek quotient.
Pros: Works--keeps my CPU happy. Putting it on was frustrating but rewarding--in a Legos kind of way. Heavy and huge. Makes me want to build a robot. Comment:

Very Well Designed
Cons: None
Pros: I used the Antec Silver 5 thermal paste instead of the tuniq-1 (generic compound) this heatsink came with and am extremely happy. It dropped my CPU temperature by 11*C to a cool idle temp of 28*C. The Q9550 has a terrible fan and heatsink it comes with so I was left with little choice to not buy something. This was an excellent buy. Comment:
This will allow me to do the overclocking I am hoping for and should be able to get my Q9550 with EO stepping up to 4.0 ghz. |

Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120 AM2 LGA775 S754 S939 S940 Heatpipe Cooler 120MM Blue LED Fan CPU Heatsink
Cons: Instructions weren't very helpful, but I'm reaching for a con here because installation was very simple.
Pros: This is a great cooler for the money. Installation was easy enough that I didn't break anything on my two-year-old mainboard. Keeps my overclocked E6600 (3.375 GHz) at less than 50C at 100% load. Adjustable fan speed and blue LEDs are just bonuses to this great product. Comment:
This cooler comes with a 3-pin power connector, so make sure you have an open plugin on your mainboard. My old cooler used a 4-pin connector, and that caused momentary confusion during installation. Difference between the Tuniq and my old cooler (AC Freezer 7 Pro) was about 12C at full load. |

it's decent
Cons: the thermal grease sucks by far, my second tube because I was giving tuniq a chance but it still sucks, doesn't like to spread.
Pros: in update to my last review it keeps things 10c cooler than my CM Gemini with no fans, stress tested with a 3ghz OC on a Q6600 1.4v show all cores idle within 5c of each other, loads as far as 61c. Comment:
Using a ANtec 300 you can only keep the top fan mounted if you mount the cooler blowing up or down. To have it blowing out the back of the case the top fan will get in the way. |

Pros: Works greatEasy installSuper quiet Comment:

Just Wow!
Cons: None. Looks really nice in my Antec 900 with the led lights and the size is perfect.
Pros: I have an Intel Xeon E3110. With stock fan I overclocked it to 3.4ghz. It was running on 49C idle and 67C on load.I put the tuniq tower in. Overclock it to 4.2ghz and temps are amazing! 39C on idle and 55C on load. It's really close to water cooling and airflow from your case is key to getting it as cool as possible. Comment:
Trust me don't think think it will snap your mobo in half. |

The best air cooler
Cons: Big. So tall it almost does not fit in my case. Actually touches the side.
Pros: I waited to write a review until I used this cooler for a bit. Wow. I have an Athlon X2 6400, which runs hot. I had a Blue Orb cooler and it was constantly running close to max temp of 63 C. With this cooler it never goes over 50C. I have seen reviews that put this cooler at the top, right next to low end water solutions. Comment:

Awesome CPU cooler
Cons: I guess it would be the size, I had to remove the optional side fan on the antec 900, also the instructions weren't very clear on the am2 clip, but thats about it.
Pros: Awesome cpu cooler, fits in antec 900 case great, and keeps my amd 6400+ at around 30C. Was very easy to install, even though the instructions weren't very clear, it's pretty easy to figure out, when you install it on your processor, make sure you have your mobo out of the case, if you can, it makes it all much easier. Comment:
great heatsink for those high-heat applications, would recommend to all who have the case to fit it. |

casual gamer has no idea what he is talking about
Cons: -
Pros: - Comment:
casual gamer you have no idea what your talking about. your gpu will not burn up at 71c like a processor will. my radeon 4870 is rated at 125c although i have it at 36c idle. maybe dumb a$!Ses like you shouldn't post reviews on newegg. also if you have 100+cfm in your case your fine!!!!! |

Works great -wish they made a smaller model
Cons: 4/5 because of the lousy AM2 mount. It does press the cooler down pretty well, but for something this heavy, I wanted something a bit better. If there was some sort of key mechanism that wouldn't allow the heatsink to slide around so much with AM2 sockets, then it would be perfect. Also, you cannot install it sideways with AM2.
Pros: Cools great - this thing is huge!!! Comment:
Not the best for AM2. Wiring for fan controller is a bit short. Seems like it would be much better if you were using another type of socket. At first I thought I had a defective unit, because the ends of 3 of the heatpipes looked melted and disfigured like it was a manufacturing defect, but upon looking at other people's, they are all this way. Kind of odd. |

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a hardcore CPU cooler. I have my Q9400 overclocked to 3.6Ghz (from 2.6Ghz) and it doesnt skip a beat. My temps are usually idle around 35C, and a bout 44C under load.
