The line out functions actually nicely on my WIN XP SP2Ǚ Compaq Evo notebook. It starts working very incredibly soon following plugin it in, no drivers needed (duh, plug n play), even when connected to an external USB hub. The headphone jack got busted in my notebook so i use this as an option. the headphone jack is busted in my pc i use at function so i bought a different a single, ha. Little size. Althought it is little in size, its not slim adequate to prevent blocking the an adjacent USB port. Making use of it with a USB extension cable should work about this if your machine has only 1 usb port left. good that its super checp. effectively worth the cost.

Low noise. I hate listening to music by way of my earphones on my laptop due to the fact it has no considerably internal interference that all audio is noisy. But with this small guy, noise is slow low, it's imperceivable. Works with Linux. I run Mandriva 2009.1, and it functions flawlessly. I just opened Pulse Volume Manage, and selected this Syba device on the Output Devices tab. No muss, no fuss. It is a bit thick. When I plug it into my side USB slot, it blocks the neighboring slot. If I had to, I could probably use it with a USB cable. All this for Ű. Brilliant.

Functions on each machine I've tested it on, even though I've only tested on Windows XP & Vista machines. It claims to work on Macs and Linux also although, which is a significant plus for me because I use all of them. The audio output is fairly loud. Louder than it is on an integrated headphone port. I have to reduce the volume extremely low to use at a reasonable volume.

Performs perfectly to use an analog headset with the PS3. Note that if you want to have game audio as effectively, you will need to have to do some wiring from your Television cables to this and use an audio splitter for the headset (like บ). Not meant for use with PS3 (but it works if you know what you're performing)

incredibly low expense. Excellent sound. nothing however I wanted a different audio output port readily available so began searching at USB audio adapters. I was seeking at some ษ to ุ units and then came across this small gem on newegg. Soon after reading the testimonials I decided I didn't have much to drop. I was shocked by the sound top quality of this tiny unit. It sounds better than the audio output on my macbook. I was actually surprised. I haven't used the input side yet but will attempt it out ultimately.

littlebasic a bit wide (blocks second USB port) This adapter is basic and does the trick. Plug in the headphone jacks and slip it into a USB slot and windows sends the sound to the headphones and turns off the speaker feed. The microphone jack is a mono pass by means of only, so you can't record from a mic in anything but mono, but I don't use it for that.

Purchased it so that I could play my PS3 and not bug the wife with the loud sounds of my FPS war games. Does that just fine. Not seriously a con on the device but a lot more on the PS3, the audio out is not supported through USB so be certain you know how to connect your AV cables to a headset for sound. Go go adapters! For the price you can't complain. All my good friends say the mic excellent is really fantastic. I don't have any other experience with this so I don't know how well it works for a Pc but for the PS3 you can't truly go wrong.

When I initially plugged this device into my laptop, Windows automatically began installing the drivers (I have Windows 7). It was up and operating in below 30 seconds. I created some adjustments below the sound settings to make it the default audio device and haven't had a single issue. I did the same test with my mother's laptop but with out generating any adjustments this time (she has Windows XP). It worked quickly. The volume was genuinely loud when I 1st connected the device. I attempted turning down the volume, unplugging it, and plugging it back in and the sound reset to it's higher level. Make confident to turn down the volume every time you plug this device in. Otherwise, it's a very low cost and functional way to replace the audio on your laptop or desktop laptop.On a side note, it's compatible with USB 1 and 2.

Performs perfectly in OS X ྪ.5.6), entirely plug-and-play. None. The audio-out port on my macbook broke, and I can't go with out my machine for a couple of days in order to have it repaired. I have this plugged into a usb hub and it operates wonderfully.

Works as promote. Sound performs now on my Pc. Great cost. Fantastic sound. The good quality is not as great as a full sound card, but the you will be paying way a lot more. Excellent sound. Don't need to open laptop to install it. USB.

Worked on mac server operating osx 10.four and on six computer's that I tested (even vista 32ኜ). Performs good, not the finest sound. Nonetheless, it is fantastic for the price tag. No disk required for drivers, is the biggest plus. It is a completely portable usb sound card backward compliant to 1. requirements. Non genuinely, smaller is generally a plus...and perhaps even five.1 and 7.1 thumb drive size sounds cards in the future... Not cheaply created.

Plug it in and it works. Effortless to use. None I purchased this as my mac book pro only has a head telephone jack. my pricey head set has 1Ǟ in plugs. I was going to purchase a new head set but located this to take with me and use Skype. Worked beautifully. If you are seeking for a USB plug to attach a head phone, head set or mic to your pc, you won't come across one at a better price and it works. What more can you ask for.

Functions with a Macbook Air if you want a microphone jack... Crystal audio clarity... Not rediculously expensive... BEWARE that it will not fit in the Macbook Air USB Slot!!! You need a USB hub or extender cable for it to match with no breaking the flip-down compartment!!! So just take that into consideration if you're arranging on this use... Also it's a bit of a pain to get it to operate with MacOSX simply because you have to go into the sounds settings and activate it and adjust the sound levels and things...

I dropped my laptop with the headphones plugged in, which busted the headphone jack on my Inspiron 8200. I necessary a replacement, and this was the great device for the job.Genuinely plug and play, even in my picky i8200. Simple and headache-absolutely free, 4 months into utilizing it. 1. had a dell laptop that an enduser wanted loaded with server 2003. (He bought the server license so I was glad to install it). Even so, the dell he installed it onto did not have server 2003 drivers for a dell soundcard.Installed this small ů.99 soundcard and viola; audio on a dell laptop that was operating server 2003.Did not even have to install a separate driver.two. EVGA socket 1366 mobo - migrated from Vista to win 7. No sound.Installed 1 of these usb card cards and viola! Sound was back.Once again, no separate driver was installed in order to get sound. Not truly a "CON".But I only bought eight of them on my initial order.Once absolutely everyone who had laptop audio difficulties discovered I had these, there was a run on them.At least the endusers are delighted.I have to fill out additional paperwork to order another eight units.Perhaps I'll just order ten, to be secure. Finally, a low-cost solution that operates regularly, across many OS's and many hardware configurations.If the computer has a usb port, then this tiny usb soundcard will bring audio to the program.

I originally ordered it since my headphones weren't operating with my laptop soon after upgrading it to windows 7. I gave up attempting to uncover the problem and just bought this. Just plugged it in and solved anything. Not as large as I originally believed it was. Props to newegg for delivering it inside a day. Actually loud sound when I initial place it in. -1 Egg. I fixed the loud audio sound by adjusting it on the audio manager on windows itself. Fast and uncomplicated!
