Works okay...
Cons: Not so easy to get the clear backing to come off smoothly and keep the pad intact.
Pros: Easy enough to install. Fits where I needed it to go. Solved my laptop's thermal issues that appeared after a cpu upgrade that was originally done with the thin coat of arctic silver paste. |

THERMAL PAD REPLACINGINK HEATSINK PASTE
Cons: Hard to apply, not very much "adhesive" so to say. Doesn't give you the results as a good paste would.
Pros: They are an adequate alternative to thermal paste. Comment:

About what I expected
Cons: These are not adhesive pads. I knew that going in though.
Pros: Cheap. Comment:
Fine for a temporary situation or experimentation, not sure I'd use these as my primary heat transfer medium. |

Not thermal adhesive
Cons: Could transfer heat a little better, but I was not expecting arctic silver quality heat transfer.
Pros: Cheap, effective, clean. Heatsink can be removed without having to reapply thermal compound, just leave the thermal pad on the cpu. I am using them in my repair shop for my test machines and they are very handy. Comment:
Like runnerman943 says, these are not at all adhesive. Do not try to use them for a thermal adhesive. They use the heatsink's pressure to stay in place, and they do soften when heated, so make sure the heatsink is cool before you remove it, otherwise it will deform. Would have gotten 5 eggs if they were atleast a little bit sticky and would hold the heatsink under their own power, but again, this is not their intended purpose. |

DOES NOT WORK
Cons: Will not adhere to surfaces. I bought this thinking I could cool an overclocked chip on my wireless router, but could not get the compound to transfer off of the plastic and onto my heatsink. DO NOT BUY.
Pros: none Comment:

Apparently there was a larger gap than acceptable between the cpu and the heatsink of my laptop once the original thermal pad was removed and arctic silver 5 paste was used instead during a cpu upgrade. This pad seems to have filled that gap back into spec and made the new cpu stop going into thermal slowdown under moderate work loads so the laptop runs faster instead of slower now, as it should.
